Netgalley eARC Review- You Can Run (Laurel Snow #1) by Rebecca Zanetti!
BLURB:
“Be prepared to stay up all night . . .”*
Suspense, danger, romance, and family drama converge as a rising star profiler strives to stay one step ahead of the criminal mind—and discovers that her own demons may be the hardest to outrun...
Laurel Snow wouldn’t call hunting a serial killer a vacation, but with a pile of dead bodies unearthed near her Genesis Valley, WA, hometown, she’ll take what she can get. Yet something about this case stirs her in unexpected ways. Like the startling connection she feels to Dr. Abigail Caine, a fiercely intelligent witness with a disturbing knack for making Laurel feel like she has something on her. Then there’s Laurel’s attraction to Huck Rivers, the fish and wildlife officer guiding her to the crime scene—and into the wilderness . . .
A former soldier and a trained sniper, Huck’s thirst for blood is rivaled only by his fierce pursuit of Laurel. He’s been burned by love, wounded by the government, and betrayed before, and to say he has trust issues is the ultimate understatement . Plus, he might be closer to this killer than anybody knows…
Once in the heart of darkness with Huck, Laurel must negotiate her distracting desire for him, her complex rapport with Abigail—and her mission to find a serial killer among a growing list of suspects and a danger that’s far too close to home. So close in fact, Laurel fears she will never find her way back to the woman she once was . . .
*“Rebecca Zanetti takes you on a thrill-ride, pitting characters you love against impossible odds.”
—New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan*
MY REVIEW:
You Can Run is like watching an incredible thriller on TV...its vivid, breathtaking, edge of your seat exciting and impossible to keep your eyes off the pages!
This review was one of the hardest for me to write. Its not because the book was awful but because of the opposite. It was one of the most thrilling reads of 2021! It was loaded to the MAX with twists you don't see coming and with a slow tantalizing romance that grips your heart and has you wondering how the next book will turn out. I loved the way this book was written. Rebecca Zanetti wrote this book in a way that urges the reader to play detective throughout the story and help the heroine figure out who the killer really is. At least for me it felt that way and I really enjoyed it 100%.
Now lets talk a bit about Laurel and Huck. I really loved these two. Like a WHOOOOOOLE lot and I am already anxious to see where things go for them in the next book. Laurel is seriously a genius. Super intelligent, kind and isn't easily controlled by emotion, I found her to be a really endearing heroine. She is a beautiful heroine inside and out and I rooted for her from the moment I started reading. The way her mind works is fascinating and really amazing. Now Huck is a broody, borderline rude hero who quite honestly dug himself in my heart straight away. He is bold, sexy, prefers his amazing dog over most people and knows his way around the outdoors and mountains. I loved watching Huck and Laurel interact with each other and with other people during their investigations. They had such awesome chemistry and they worked great as a team. I think Huck is a perfect match for Laurel in every way. Their chemistry is a slow, steady burn that I feel a reader can sense right through the pages. I can't wait for more of these two!
You Can Run was a never ending, thrilling roller coaster ride with lots of spectacular twists and turns and will keep a reader engaged and guessing until the very end. This was well written GOLD!

ARC Review - Pretend You Want Me (Wilde Ways #13) by Cynthia Eden!
There is no problem that Aspen Gray can’t handle. No case that is too hard. No challenge too great. She’s a rising star criminal defense attorney, and she intends to have the world at her feet…until a ghost from her past comes back to wreck her carefully designed plans. A ghost who should have been in the ground. And when a dead man comes stalking you, what’s a woman to do?
Let things get Wilde.
As soon as she sets foot in the elite protection and security firm known as Wilde, Aspen knows that she must tread carefully. Her life is on the line, and everything that she has worked so hard to achieve can be destroyed…unless one very talented and dangerous Wilde agent can help her out. She needs a man with exceedingly deadly skills—and she needs him now.
He can practically see the secrets dripping from her…
It should have been a standard undercover operation. Gideon Ranier knew the drill. He was supposed to play the role of his new client’s boyfriend so that he could slip into her world, keep her safe, and unmask the jerk screwing around with her. Standard work. No big deal. Former Delta Force, he could do that type of job in his sleep. Except…he doesn’t count on actually falling for his client. But he does. Hard, fast, and deep, and soon…there is nothing that he won’t do for her.
It’s personal.
Lines are crossed. Desire grows too strong. Their need won’t be denied. But the attacks on Aspen are mounting. As an obsessed killer plays a deadly game, Gideon will have no choice but to fight harder and dirtier than he’s ever fought in his life in order to protect Aspen from a stalker hellbent on vengeance.
Author’s Note: He’s dangerous. She’s devious. They shouldn’t want each other so badly, but they do. Close proximity, a deadly threat…adrenaline is pumping and the desire between Aspen and Gideon will not be controlled. He’ll walk through hell to keep her safe…and, yes, he’s pretty much gonna have to do just that. Sexy times, dangerous deeds, and a happy ending are guaranteed in this stand-alone read. Be on the lookout for secrets, because there sure are plenty of those coming your way!

ARC Review - It's A Wonderful Werewolf by Cynthia Eden!
Oliver Abbott never intended to be a werewolf. Howling at the moon, sprouting fur, shifting into a beast...not exactly the life plan that the former Navy SEAL had anticipated. But an attack on a snow-filled night changes everything. Suddenly, Oliver has a new reality, and he has to leave the only woman he's ever loved, Gia Donato, in order to protect her from his wolfish side. Yeah, being a werewolf bites. Big time. Especially when you have the biggest, sharpest teeth in town.
But Christmas is a magical time...
On Christmas Eve, an angelical "intern" offers to grant Oliver one wish. Oliver can have anything he wants. His wish? He wishes that he'd never become a werewolf. Only that wish has unexpected consequences...Gia doesn't remember him, danger is stalking her, and, ho-ho-horror of horrors, Oliver is now a mild-mannered tax attorney. Nope, not happening. Especially the part where Gia is in danger. Oliver wants a do-over on the wish. STAT.
He will embrace his inner beast.
Oliver is an alpha werewolf for a reason. He wants his old, howl-at-the-moon life back, and he's going to take it—fangs, claws, fur, and everything else. With the help of his angel intern, Oliver's beast returns, and the hunt is on. Oliver is ready to fight for his second chance with Gia, and he will be at her side when danger comes to her door. Because there is no way that he will stand aside and let anyone hurt her. No way, no day. First, though, he has to convince the gorgeous Gia that she should give their love a second chance...
But it's Christmas, right? And anything can happen during the holiday season...even a miracle for a werewolf.
Author's note: Even werewolves can use a little Christmas magic. Deck the halls with some furry fun, dangerous dilemmas, and an uber hot hero who is prepared to grovel with hot chocolate for the woman who owns his heart. Someone is stalking her? Danger is at her door? Oliver will get his beast on in an instant in order to protect Gia. IT'S A WONDERUL WEREWOLF is a fun and festive novella (approximately 23,000 words) with an absolutely guaranteed happy ending.

ARC Review - Zai (Blades of Arris Book 2) by Starla Night!
BLURB:
I will destroy all threats to the empire with unrelenting force. Even if that threat comes in the form of a weak, fragile lesser with night-black hair and beguiling eyes.
The blades. Elite forces of the empire, nightmare to all servant-world residents just trying to scrape by. Of course I have to flee when my medical ship comes under attack.
But my escape pod is captured by their ruthless leader.
His face is hidden in an assassin’s cowl. Metal sai weapons are fused to his wristbones. He can fly between spaceships like an owl and execute enemies through a hull.
Yet according to him, I’m the dangerous one.
His people’s lust metal has gotten in my blood. They’ll tear each other apart trying to get to me. And then? Because they can’t understand their feelings, they’ll tear me apart, too.
So he’s taking me to the Arsenal, a massive station teeming with his blades, where I’m one papercut away from unleashing hyperviolent zombie hordes.
Well, okay.
I’m lucky he’s the one who captured me. He senses the lust metal inside me, he understands the desires burning us both with unrelenting need, and he’s completely unaffected.
Or, well, mostly...

MY REVIEW:
Another explosively sexy and thrilling book in Starla Night's EXCITING new Blads Of Arris series that really, REALLY make me wish these sexy alien assassins' were real!
I devoured this second book way to quickly and then I immediately had the urge to read BOTH books again. Zai is such a powerful hero. One that made my knees weak and my heart race. The way he was with Esme was pretty freaking epic too. You can definitely sense his draw to beautiful Esme while he tries not to succumb to his desires. But Esme has a pull that is irresistible. I loved her as a whole too. She was compassionate and beautiful and fit Zai in a way that is definitely good for him. She makes him feel in a way he has never once felt and it really calls to the romantic in me. This book was amazing to read and I am already pumped for the next one!

Sam's one unbelievably sexy alpha that made me burn in the BEST of ways while Honor is a force to be reckoned with and has some serious enhancements that I found both awe inspiring and totally amazing. They have a chemistry that is OFF THE CHARTS and their power together sure caused some major sparks that turned into an incredible inferno. I LOVED that this book wasn't in the least bit dull. There is always something going on that keeps us readers on our toes. From the amazing action, to the heart stopping danger and the very steamy romance, this book was EXHILARATING! ARC Review - Never Cry Werewolf by Cynthia Eden!
BLURB:
USA Today and New York Times best-selling author Cynthia Eden has a classic paranormal romance for readers in the mood to walk on the wild side.
The big, bad wolf has BITE.
No one messes with Lucas Simone. He’s the alpha of the LA wolf pack. Bigger, badder, and one hell of a lot more dangerous than the other wolf shifters, Lucas is the monster in the dark. But when Lucas finds himself framed for murder, an unlikely savior appears at his jail cell.
She’ll give him an alibi. He’ll give her pack protection.
Sarah King is a desperate woman, and a desperate woman will do super desperate things—like pretend to be involved with super-hot and mega-scary Lucas. Sarah is struggling to hide her supernatural abilities from Lucas, but as her feelings grow for the sexy shifter, the harder it is for Sarah to keep her powers under wraps…and to keep her hands off Lucas.
Maybe she can charm him into falling for her…
Little secret…Sarah has been a fan of Lucas’s for years, and when she discovers that an attack against him is imminent, she decides to help her hero. Another wolf alpha wants to take control of everything that Lucas possesses, and he is intent on burning down Lucas’s world.
But Lucas has never been afraid of a little fire.
The attraction he feels for her is primal. Consuming. The wolf within him knows that he has found his mate, and Lucas will do anything to keep her at his side. Doesn’t matter who he must fight, Lucas is ready for the battle. Sarah made a bargain with him, and now, she’ll belong to Lucas…forever.
Author’s Note: You can’t keep a wolf shifter from his mate, so don’t even try. Prepare for a fierce alpha wolf and a heroine with a past cloaked in secrecy. They will fall fast and hard for each other, and when danger comes…things will just get hotter.
NEVER CRY WEREWOLF was originally released as NEVER CRY WOLF back in June of 2011. The book has been updated and given a new cover. It’s a classic read for fans of paranormal romance.

The danger was jaw dropping and I had to stop myself multiple times from chewing my fingernails with nervousness as I was going along. It definitely gave me some good chills and left a mark on me in the very a good way. This book is A MUST READ RIGHT NOW kind of book!

ARC Review - Remember Ramsey (Trouble For Hire #4) by Cynthia Eden!
BLURB:
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden has a scorching new romance for readers…the dark and dangerous Ramsey is about to have his world shattered.
He doesn’t deserve a second chance.
Second chances and happily-ever-after endings aren’t meant for men like Ramsey Hyde. He’s a criminal mastermind, a cold-blooded heartbreaker, and certainly no one’s idea of a dream guy. Except…once upon a time, this heartbreaker lost his heart.
She can’t remember their time together.
Dr. Whitney Augustine is considered by many to be one of the luckiest women in the world. She survived an attack that should have killed her. But her miraculous rescue came with a twist…she lost the memory of the last six months of her life. Whitney thought that when she returned to her home, her memories would follow…Unfortunately, they didn’t.
He remembers everything about her…
Whitney is desperate to figure out what happened during the missing six months of her life. So desperate, in fact, that she hires Trouble for Hire Private Investigations to help her out. The last thing Whitney expects is to discover that she was spending all of her nights with the most notorious—and dangerous—man in the area, the inscrutable and infamous Ramsey. Surely there is no way that she and Ramsey were involved in some hot and heavy relationship? They are total opposites and…
She’s never fallen for the bad guy before. Just not her usual style.
Whitney is a criminal psychologist. She profiles bad guys. She doesn’t date them. But all of the evidence—and her own wild, undeniable attraction to Ramsey—sure seems to indicate that she may have been involved with the gorgeous bar owner.
But if they were involved, why the heck didn’t Ramsey tell her sooner?
Ramsey has been keeping secrets from Whitney—and keeping a close watch over her. She might not believe it, but he’s trying to do the right thing for once in his life. He’s trying to protect her by keeping his hands off her. But, surprise, surprise, Whitney has her own secrets, too. And when Ramsey learns the life-changing secret that she holds so close to her heart, he will risk everything to claim her.
New plan of attack…
Ramsey has always known he could never, ever be good enough for Whitney…only now things have changed. A target is on her back because others have realized how very important she is to him. Staying away from her didn’t save Whitney before, so now Ramsey will have to step from the shadows as he pulls her into his world. He will surround her with his protection and if he just works hard enough, maybe one day, she will remember him…and maybe, just maybe…she could even love him.
Author’s Note: It’s time for Ramsey to come out and play! Only Ramsey isn’t exactly the kind of guy who plays nicely with anyone. He’s been obsessed with Whitney from the moment they met, and he’s already had to deal with having his heart ripped apart when he thought she’d died. But Whitney is back in his life again, and this time, Ramsey is determined to protect her. Get ready for danger, romance, fun, and scorching hot romance! Ramsey is going to fight—hard and dirty—for the woman he wants.
MY REVIEW:
I know I say this about every book Cynthia Eden writes, but I swear, this one is my new favorite!
Ramsey is incredibly intense! A powerful and dangerous man that oozes strength, danger and has no problem taking down any and ALL danger that comes his way or his woman's way. I devoured this book and still craved more. Whitney is a perfect match for Ramsey. She brings light and happiness to him and is just as fierce when it comes to protecting him as Ramsey is to protecting her. It was delicious and melted my heart. Remember Ramsey had a whole lot of danger, action and had one amazing second chance romance that is completely and utterly unforgettable. I couldn't imagine this book getting any better, sexier, or more action packed. It was perfect in every way from start to finish!
Remember Ramsey gets a WICKEDLY DANGEROUS FIVE ACTION PACKED STARS!!

ALC Review of Blades of Arris: Sithe by Starla Night!
BLURB:
It’s a routine mission. Hunt down the ones who dared – dared – steal our sacred procreation metal from us, the rulers of the empire.
The Arrisans conquered Earth in a day. They smashed into our helpless planet like a wrecking ball, and overnight, everything changed.
That’s what our history books say.
The truth is, I’ve never seen an Arrisan face-to-face. But when my lone medical ship is attacked by ruthless pirates, the nightmare that hunts them down is no hero. Cloaked in assassin’s gray, metal scythes fused to his wrist-bones, he is the grim reaper of the conquerors. The Arrisan elite special forces. A blade.
Luckily for me, he’s in a good mood now that he’s the last man standing in the blood-soaked ruins of my bridge, so he lets me live. After all, I’m just a lesser. Clearly I’m no threat.
Until his body starts reacting to mine…
*** From the author of the Lords of Atlantis and Onyx Dragons comes a dazzling new series full of unique alien shifters, fierce passion, and loyal warriors who find their fated mates in the stars. Each full-length book is a complete romance with an epic happily-ever-after. Claim your conqueror today!
TRIGGER WARNING: coercive situations may disturb readers who enjoy my other enthusiastically consensual series.
MY REVIEW:
I admit I do not listen to a ton of audiobooks. Yet I am REALLY glad I was lucky to snag an ALC of Sithe because it really brought the whole story to satisfying life!
I really liked the narrators for Sithe. I loved that there was more than one; one for Catarine and one for Sithe. Having a dual narration was not only enjoyable but it was easier to get into the story and I found everything going on in the book to be much clearer and sexier and more bold if that is even possible. I honestly loved it and really I am psyched to get the next audiobook! I am thinking I may just have to get this book in both paperback as well as audible too because I loved it so much.
Just going on the narrators and how the story was read, I give this amazing audiobook a SPECTACULAR FIVE OUT OF THIS WORLD STARS!!

Her boyfriend Aiden is back in town after being undercover across the country for the last three months, and his sudden over-protectiveness is a little too much. In addition, Nonna’s latest matchmaking scheme has been so far thwarted by the two most stubborn candidates alive, and Nonna is out of patience and bringing out the big guns. Anna is forced to both protect her sister and run interference, when she’d like to jump in and find a happily ever after for everyone instead.

In fact, she’s willing to draw him out to finally bring him down—regardless of the consequences. Finally, Santa has been arrested and charged for murder, needing a good lawyer. Who would arrest Santa? Anna can’t let this stand. It’s a good thing Christmas is a time of magic and miracles, because she’s going to need one.
MY REVIEW:
Its amazing how much one lawyer can get into a ton of trouble during the holidays! Leave it to Anna Albertini to find trouble and to keep things interesting during Christmas time.
Santa's Subpoena is a fun filled, action packed, swoony romantic suspense that had me feeling 100% happy and craving more Aiden and Anna! Aiden is the perfect hero too. He is the perfect hero to help Anna with all the trouble she seems to find herself in. And what a crazy ride it is too! I really loved the sweet happy ending to Santa's Subpoena that still today, has me feeling all warm and fuzzy as well as knowing that the conclusion to Anna's nightmares finally comes to a close. I can't seem to get enough of these Anna Albertini stories! I love Anna and her personality and her sweet nature and I can't help but to swoon and melt when it comes to Aiden. ARC Review - Jinx, You're It (Trouble For Hire #3) by Cynthia Eden!
BLURB:
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Eden brings a red-hot tale of second chance romance between two unlikely lovers.
Life is too short not to have one hell of a good time.
Jinx lives for his good times. With a ready smile and quick joke, his charm carries him through most rough situations. And when his grin doesn’t work, he just uses the down and dirty skills he acquired working Special Forces to get the job done. Life is easy, his luck is perfect, and nothing will slow him down. Except maybe…her.
It was a one-night stand she should forget.
Allison “Ali” Carter does not have time for handsome playboys—not even the ones with killer blue eyes and abs that last for days. Sure, she might have given in just one time and let her desire for Jinx take over, but she is not about to repeat that mistake, no matter how great the night was. She’s down on the Gulf Coast for a week of sun and relaxation. Jinx isn’t part of the plan.
Until he is the only plan.
Trouble has followed Ali down to the coast. On her last classified mission, she acquired a most dangerous stalker. The kind of guy that you can’t ditch, no matter how hard you try. The kind of guy who can scare a woman to death. And to help Ali deal with him? A most unlikely hero offers up his services.
He wants his second chance.
When Ali walked away from Jinx, it shouldn’t have hurt. He should have forgotten her and moved on. But since that fateful night, she’s been in his head. Been tormenting his dreams. So when she appears in his PI office and she’s in danger? Jinx immediately leaps into action. He’ll show Ali that he’s more than just a fast grin. This time, it’s not about being lucky. This time, it’s about protecting Ali and maybe, just maybe…winning her heart.
Author’s Note: Jinx is about to get lucky. He’s getting a second chance with the woman who slipped through his fingers, and he isn’t about to let her vanish again. Ali thinks he doesn’t take life seriously, and she may just be right. But, when it comes to Ali’s safety, Jinx will go all in to prove that he’s the man she needs. Danger doesn’t scare him. Behind his grin, he’s ice cold and willing to do whatever it takes to protect the one woman who slipped past his guard. Action, romance, danger, and fun are waiting in JINX, YOU’RE IT. (Stand-alone read, guaranteed happy ending!)
MY REVIEW:
Jinx, You're It was a stupendously fun, sexy, suspenseful good time with one HOT hero who was full of surprises and a heroine who is pretty freaking awesome too!
I have been waiting for Jinx since he was introduced in this series and I am ecstatic to say, his story did NOT disappoint! Sexy, fun, protective and hiding some jaw dropping secrets, he is definitely one of my favorite book boyfriends in this series. I loved how he could be serious when it was necessary but I absolutely LOVED MORE that he knew how to have fun, even when on dangerous jobs. Ali was really freaking cool too. She has her own secrets and hidden depths that I really liked about her. Her dedication to keeping Jinx safe too was amazing and she was pretty bad ass as well. She was so smart and kind and just had a beautiful soul to go along with her outer beauty. She really fit Jinx and the chemistry between them was definitely off the charts! I was beyond happy with this book and I can't wait for the next one! These Trouble For Hire stories are absolute GOLD!
Jinx, You're It gets a FIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER STARS from me! And just in case you didn't get it, I VERY MUCH LOOOOOOOOOOVED THIS BOOK!

Loner by Jamie Schlosser Release with ARC Review!
Loner was a sweet, amusing, sexy and sincerely heart stopping irresistible romance that makes this final book in one of my all time favorite series one of the best endings ever! I am sad that this series is ending but exceedingly satisfied with this final book. Preston and Rosalie made me smile so much and I enjoyed this version of Rapunzel more than I ever imagined I would. This story really did give me the warm and fuzzies and I didn't for a moment want to stop reading it. Yet, I forced myself to take my time. And really, I think that was the best thing because I really savored this. I made it last as long as I could and now that I read it, I am looking VERY MUCH forward to doing a re-read of the whole Good Guy series. But before I do that, let me tell you all that you will SWOON, fall head over heels HARD for Preston. And Rosalie will make you laugh and smile and dream big dreams. These two have a sweet connection that I adored very much and there were moments of pure bliss, excitement and sweet and sexy romance that made this book the best thing I have read all year. I really can't say enough great things about Loner, I honestly can't!

PROLOGUEShe was just supposed to be a job I turned down.I’ve been picky about my clients before, and when I was approached by a man with ties to the mafia in search of his daughter, my immediate answer was no. His personal private investigator had recently died under mysterious circumstances, and I didn’t want to meet the same fate. Then I saw Rosalie’s picture.I should’ve walked away.I didn’t.
