May heaven help me.

Serena Every day I grow stronger as the child Ryder and I created grows inside me. I'm no fool, though. I know my father will do everything in his power to keep his control over us. But I'm not that scared little girl I used to be anymore, and the time is coming when he will realize that.

My Best Friend's Ex Excerpt Reveal!

My Best Friend’s Ex, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy is coming June 1st. Preorder today!

My Best Friend’s Ex by Meghan Quinn Publication Date: June 1st, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson.
Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal since Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer.
Boy, was I wrong.
Rules are set, dinners are made, conversations are had, and a shirtless, swoony roommate walks around in nothing but a pair of black briefs, ruining me for every other man.
Before I know it, I turn into a panting, lust-filled woman begging for Tucker to kiss me, touch me, and show me exactly what is hiding under those briefs.
But with great orgasms, comes great consequences.
Tucker might be my friend and roommate but he’s also my best friend's ex-boyfriend, making him completely off-limits. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language.

“Morning,” Tucker’s deep voice rattles off the cabinets. It’s his morning voice, deeper, throatier—if that makes sense—and I hate to admit it, because he’s just my friend, but sexier. Once my pupils adjust to the light, I take Tucker in. He’s standing in front of the stove, rubber spatula in hand, wearing a white long-sleeve Henley shirt, the top two buttons undone, a pair of worn jeans with a few paint stains on them, and tan work boots. Sweet Jesus, he makes construction look good. Strap a tool belt around his waist and stick him in front of a camera for the benefit of all womankind. “Morning,” I say in reply, using the counter to help hold up my tired body. “You’re up early. What time do you have to go into work?” “Around seven thirty. I like to get an early start before the boys come in.” He looks me up and down, a small smile at the corner of his lips. “You look good.” He motions around his head with his hand. “I really like what you did with your hair.” I turn toward the window in the kitchen and check out my reflection. Sure enough, my long brown hair looks like a lion’s mane poofed out and framing my face with an abundance of volume. Beautiful. There is no use in taming it, so I leave my hair as is and turn back toward Tucker. “Not many people can get this kind of height while sleeping.” I pretend to fluff my hair. “Impressive.” He chuckles and then points to the coffee maker with the spatula. “Coffee is done, mugs are above in the cabinet. Grab me a cup, will ya? Eggs will be done shortly, bacon is warming in the oven.” I do as directed, thinking it’s kind of cute how he’s including me in on his little morning breakfast. “I didn’t even know you had eggs. I was expecting to hit up Dunkin’ Donuts or Tim Horton’s this morning.” He turns off the stove and reaches for two plates from the dish rack. “I went to Walmart this morning. Picked up a few things.” “This morning?” I pour two cups of coffee and turn toward him. “What time did you wake up?” “Four thirty,” he answers casually. “Got a quick run in, did some weights, took a shower and then went to Walmart.” He fills our plates with bacon and eggs and then nods toward the dining room, plates and silverware in hand. “I have a surprise.” I follow him to the dining room where he flips on the light and reveals a card table fold-out dining set. “You got a table.” I chuckle, loving that it’s a fold-out card table with matching chairs. Anything is better than the floor. “And placemats,” he adds, as he lifts two plastic placemats from one of the chairs. “The options were bleak so I went with dinosaurs for me and Trolls for you. Given the look of your morning hair, Trolls was the right choice.” Clever bastard. He sets them on the table and then puts our plates on top of them. God, it’s too freaking cute. Chuckling, I take a seat and hand him his coffee. “Look at you getting all domestic. I never thought you would be a placemat kind of man, I stand corrected.” He rests a napkin on his legs, which are spread drastically, almost the length of the table and leans over to fork some eggs into his mouth. “Didn’t want our food to damage the plastic of this high-class table.” I love the humor in his voice, it reminds me of all the good times we had, before the end of his relationship with Sadie. “Smart man, you want this table to last.” “Of course, you don’t see fine furniture like this in houses anymore. Everything has to be so sturdy. What ever happened to rickety furniture and living through a meal with the threat of your food possibly kissing the floor at any point in time?” “The horror,” I joke. He looks up at me. Some of his hair is still wet from his shower. Pointing his fork at me he says, “Are you ready to be schooled?” “Schooled on what?” I take a bite of bacon and my stomach jumps in excitement for finally rewarding it for waking up early. All right, I will admit it, getting out of bed was a smart idea. “It’s Monday, babe. DJ Hot Cock has his song picked and ready to show you what real music is.” “When was my music taste ever questioned? I like good music.” “We’ll see.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. I watch as he flips through it until he lands on the song he wants to introduce me to. He presses play and sets his phone on the table. The light pickings of a guitar fill the small dining room. I don’t recognize the song, but I like the sound of it so far. Just as I’m settling in to the sweet pickings of a guitar, the distinct voice of Zac Brown chimes in. I’ve known Tucker for loving EMO growing up, so his choice in a country song is very surprising to me, but when I look up at him, pure hometown country boy sitting across from me, it makes perfect sense. And then the lyrics hit me. My Old Man. Zac sings about his father, hoping he’s proud of the man he’s become. I’m transported back to a dreary day in Whitney Point, where we grew up, when Sadie called me one Saturday morning. I was getting ready for the day. We were in middle school. Tucker’s dad was killed by a head-on collision, the dad Tucker just reconnected with, the dad Tucker had plans on moving in with to get away from his neglectful mom. Those next few days—and weeks—were a whirlwind of sorrow. Attending his funeral, my first ever funeral, seeing the look of devastation on Tucker’s face, wondering what he might be feeling, trying to channel his hurt, it was so much to take on as a teenager. Glancing up, I take in Tucker’s expression. He’s lost in the music, in the words, just like me. When the song ends, I lean over and place my hand on his, our eyes meet and there is an unspoken understanding between us. I don’t have to say anything about his dad, about the tragedy we went through so many years ago together as friends. It’s all said between this silent exchange.

Brazilian Capture Blog Tour with ARC Review!

Brazilian Capture

by Carmen Falcone Publication Date: May 22, 2017 Genres: Adult, Entangled: Ignite, Contemporary, Romance

Financier turned activist Emanuel Duarte has promised he would find the one witness who can testify against real estate developer Silas Lancaster. Sick of having every attempt at exposing Silas shut down, Emanuel wants to honor a promise he made, and takes from his opponent what matters most—his beautiful daughter Erika. Only he gets more than he bargained for with the tempting—and frustrating—woman. Fundraiser and socialite Erika Lancaster can’t believe she’s been kidnapped. Her sexy captor is feeding her lies about her father that she refuses to swallow. Emanuel’s plans will hurt her and ruin her mother’s legacy—and that she can’t allow. Desperate to find a way out of the lush Brazilian jungle, she decides there’s only way to disarm the enemy—seduce him. But her plan backfires and soon she realizes that seducing the enemy comes with a hefty price…loving the enemy simply isn’t an option.

A heart pounding romantic suspense with plenty of sparks, danger, action, and sizzling HOT sex! Nothing is better than an action packed romantic suspense with great characters and a terrific plot! And Brazilian Capture is brilliantly written! The characters are fierce and fabulous and the story had me on the edge through the whole book. I loved it!

I really got into this story from the moment I started it. I found myself biting my lip and eagerly flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I was on the edge and squirmy and the romance just sizzled in the BEST way while the action and danger was heart-stopping. A spectacular read.

Carmen Falcone learned at an early age that fantasizing about fictional characters beats doing math homework any day. Brazilian by birth and traveler by nature, she moved to Central Texas after college and met her broody Swiss husband—living proof that opposites attract. She found in writing her deepest passion and the best excuse to avoid the healthy lifestyle everyone keeps talking about. When she’s not lost in the world of romance, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, being walked by her three crazy pugs, reading, catching up with friends, and chatting with random people in the checkout line.

Dating-ish Release Blitz!

Dating-ish, an all new standalone from the USA Today bestselling Knitting in the City romantic comedy series by Penny Reid is available now!

20170306 Dating ish 01 (2)

'Dating-ish' can be read as a standalone, is a full length 100k word novel, and is book #6 in the Knitting in the City Series.
There are three things you need to know about Marie Harris: 1) She's fed up with online dating, 2) She's so fed up, she's willing to forego the annoyance and consider more creative alternatives, and 3) She knows how to knit.
After the most bizarre and irritating first date in the history of humankind, Marie is looking for an alternative to men. With the help of her friends, she quickly identifies a few possibilities:
Need a cuddle? Use a professional cuddler. Need affirmation? Get yourself a life coach. Need an orgasm? Try orgasm meditation! Why does she need the hassle of a romantic partner when she can meet all her needs with paid services?
But then her irritating date resurfaces. And he's not at all the person she thought he was. And he suggests a different--and crazier--solution to her dilemma . . .
As everyone knows (or will soon come to realize), traditional relations between humans are a thing of the past. Robots are our future. And if robots are our future, then why do we need other people at all?

He was quiet for bit, we both were, and I felt myself relax more and more. His palm took a detour every so often, dutifully skipping my hip and sliding along my side, and then back to my leg. Soon, I was so relaxed I felt drowsy. I felt fingers in my hair, moving the mass away from my neck with treasuring strokes just before Matt nuzzled the back of my neck, causing goosebumps to scatter over my skin. “Mmm.” I smiled. “Hey. Jared said no tickling.” My voice sounded sleepy. “Does this tickle?” Matt asked softly, nuzzling me again. I felt the brush of his lips—not a kiss, a brush—paired with hot breath against the bare skin of my neck and a zing shot straight down my spine, making my toes curl and a sudden hot ache twist in my lower belly. Oh no. I knew that ache. I hadn’t felt it because of another person’s touch in quite a long time. Nevertheless, no one ever forgets that ache. My back arched instinctively, my bottom pressing back against his crotch, and I stiffened. I felt my nipples harden, strain beneath the cotton of my bra. I was now fully awake. No longer drowsy. Nope. Not even a little. Matt stiffened, too. His movements abruptly ceasing. “Are you okay? What’s wrong?” he asked, alarm coating his words, and in the next moment his hand was suspended in the air above me. “Did I touch something I shouldn’t?” I exhaled a short, nervous laugh, gripped by the urge to sit up. “No. No. You didn’t.” I moved to the edge of the bed, righting myself, away from Matt, needing distance. “I’m good.” I gathered a silent breath and released it slowly because my pulse was racing. Crap, Marie. Get a grip. It’s Matt Simmons. Professor Matt. The big kid. Why are you reacting this way? “Did I . . .” These initial words were hesitant, and a moment of silence stretched before he continued, his tone comically teasing as he finished his thought. “Did I arouse you?” I snorted, shaking my head, laughing at his silly tone. Turning at the waist to peer at him over my shoulder, Matt was grinning at me, twisting a make-believe mustache between his thumb and forefinger. But then he stopped. “I did, didn’t I?” he pushed, his hand dropping. He looked pleased, if not a little amazed. I sighed, feeling a smidge embarrassed, and nodded. “Actually, yes. That’s a sensitive spot for most women.” “The back of your neck?” He lifted himself to one elbow, his eyes darting to my neck with keen interest. “My neck in general, actually.” “Huh.” Matt frowned thoughtfully. “Where else?” I pressed my lips together and gave him an incredulous look. “I’m not telling you that.” “Why not?” “Matt.” “What if I needed it for research reasons?” “Matt.” “What if I told you it was part of our questionnaire?” He tossed his legs over the side of the bed and stood, walking around to my side and offering me his hand. “You should give me a schematic of your body with the erogenous zones circled and rated.” “Let me guess, you want them rated on a ten-point scale,” I deadpanned as I accepted his hand, stood, and stepped away to gain some distance and straighten my shirt. He shrugged, crossing his arms, stalking after me. “Or exponential. I was going to say a Likert scale, but a logarithmic scale works, too.” Chuckling, appreciative of his attempt to diffuse my embarrassment and awkwardness with the joke, I realized Matt Simmons wasn’t a bad guy. He might even be a good guy, just a little . . . peculiar. And wants to replace romantic relationships with robots. Best not forget that detail. Yeah, he’d make an interesting friend. “Thanks.” I gave him a small smile. “For what?” His eyes moved between mine. “For the cuddle. Thanks for the cuddle, Matt.” “Anytime, Marie.” He grinned down at me, his eyes dancing as he leaned forward and whispered, “Anytime.”

ARC Review - More Than Need You by Shayla Black!

I’m Griffin Reed—cutthroat entrepreneur and competitive bastard. Trust is a four-letter word and everyone is disposable…except Britta Stone. Three years ago, she was my everything before I stupidly threw her away. I thought I’d paid for my sin in misery—until I learned we have a son. Finding out she’s engaged to a bore who’s rushing her to the altar pisses me off even more. I intend to win her back and raise our boy. I’ll have to get ruthless, of course. Luckily, that’s one of my most singular talents.

Sixty days. That’s what I’m asking the gritty, independent single mother to give me—twenty-four/seven. Under my roof. And if I have my way, in my bed. Britta says she wants nothing to do with me. But her body language and passionate kisses make her a liar. Now all I have to do is coax her into surrendering to the old magic between us. Once I have her right where I want her, I’ll do whatever it takes to prove I more than need her.

A serious, special, heartfelt, tear inducing second chance romance like NONE I have read before. Shayla Black brought EVERY FEEL to this one. Griff was WAY MORE than I imagined. I love love LOOOOVE how Griff has to work hard for his second chance with the one woman he always loved. Instead of him constantly thinking sex is THE answer and instead of using just words, he needs to PROVE to Britta that he is the man for her.

Even with the heavy-ness of the plot, there was still plenty of sparks between Britta and Griff. And I absolutely cherished watching Maxon and Griff get a brotherly bond that really helped him win back the woman he loved. It was touching, sweet, heartfelt, and just gives me the sense that this book is beyond anything I have read in the past by Miss Shayla. It feels more special and the romance more fresh, more giving, more, well everything. It brings my emotions to the surface and it just makes me cherish the happily ever after that much more.

More Than Need You is sweet, sexy, beautiful, heartfelt and will make you cry and sigh. Its a dream inducing story that will undeniably touch your heart and have you cheering for that second chance. I give this an INCREDIBLE, EMOTIONS RUNNING WILD FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Shayla Black's More Than Words series is truly spectacular and sweet, sexy, and just touches my heart in a way that just causes me to sniffle and want to hug my ereader long after I finish them! I feel like we get more romance between the heroes and heroines and makes it so incredibly sweet...I HIGHLY recommend these books!

The Way Back Home Tour Stop with ARC Review!

Title: The Way Back Home
Author: Carmen Jenner
Genre: Military Romance
Release Date: May 29, 2017

August Cotton shouldn’t be here. When a tragic accident calls him home to Magnolia Springs, this returned Veteran adds his parents to the list of things he’s lost in recent years, right along with his IED detection dog and his left leg. As the sole guardian of his four-year-old sister, August must rely on his Marine training in raising a tiny hellion who’s as stubborn as he is. But the Corps could never prepare him for this. Nor could they prepare him for Olivia Anders, a woman who’ll stop at nothing to get her way.

As owner of Paws for Cause, Olivia is no stranger to the broken men and women who return home from war. She’s no stranger to broken dogs either. In fact, she’s made it her mission to pair the two and enrich both of their lives, but pairing ornery and aloof August Cotton will take some work. The last thing August wants is some pushy southern woman occupying his parents’ bed and breakfast and forcing him to open up about the hell he narrowly escaped, but that’s exactly what Olivia intends.

They complete one another, and yet they can’t stand to be in the same room.

Can Olivia make this hardened Marine feel again and finally show his heart the way back home?

A sweet, compelling romance that will slowly but surely sweep you off your feet and will have you all teary-eyed and begging for more by the time you get to the end.

First we have a hardened, damaged Marine who is stubborn, gorgeous, grouchy but who has a surprising tenderness that just....called to me. And there is Olivia who is sweet, sassy, has a heart of gold and can seem to get under the skin of our damaged marine. I definitely couldn't deny the sparks between Olivia and August though. These two NEEDED each other and the way their romance slowly blossomed and became all consuming and sweet as pie was downright beautiful. Sure there were some moments that just brought ALL the feels and left me in tears, there was enough moments that just left a smile on my face and a sigh leaving my lips.

I really enjoyed this romance. I would SO reread this! I give The Way Back Home a HEARTFELT FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

*** Intended for a mature 18+ audience only. This book may contain triggers for some readers.

“You know, if you want to see me naked and sweaty, all you have to do is ask, darlin’.”
“I do not . . . I wasn’t . . .” My words are stolen from me as he stalks forward with a maddening smirk on his face. “What are you doing?”
“Getting tired of waiting for you to be okay with this.”
“August, we talked about boundaries.” I press my hand to his chest because he's too close, and I can't think straight with the heady scent of his sweat and sandalwood soap distracting me. It wasn't my intention to run my hand over that sweat, to feel the hard-won muscle beneath, but here I am, petting him as if he's my favorite kitty.
“No. You talked about boundaries. I told you I was gonna fight, and I ain’t above fightin’ dirty.”
“How dirty?” I breathe.
August’s lips curl up into a smile. “So dirty.”
Both hands snake around my waist and he lifts me onto the counter, wedging his hips between my thighs. He hooks a finger in the sash and unties my robe as if he were opening a gift made just for him. I wrap my legs around his hips to pull him closer, and that’s all the admission he needs. He threads a hand through my hair and pulls my neck back to expose the tender flesh to his mouth. I close my eyes and whisper his name as my whole body turns to flame, starved for the oxygen that only his touch can bring. His hot mouth trails down my neck, his hands cup my breasts, squeezing, kneading, and I slide a hand between us, into the waistband of his shorts. I take his hard length in my hand, stroking him from base to tip. August grunts as he pushes my negligee out of the way with frenzied hands. His fingers find me bare and exposed with no panties.
“So fucking’ dirty,” he groans, wetting his lips.

ARC Reviews - Dropkick My Heart and Love On The Mat by Winter Travers!

Countless hours of practice, and enough determination to succeed no matter the cost is what has brought Kellan to standing at the door to his life coming full circle.
Life on the competition circuit was fast-paced, and exciting, but now Kellan is ready to settle down, and stay in his own bed for longer than a week.
Opening Powerhouse Martial Arts with his three best friends was just what they all needed to showcase their skills from traditional forms, all the way to show-style sport tricking.
Kellan thought he had it all figured out, except he didn’t figure in the sassy barista next door.

For seven years, Molly saved every penny she had to buy the quirky coffeeshop on the corner.
Lattes, cappuccinos, espresso. You name it, Molly can make it.
Early mornings slinging coffee, and late nights thinking up the next new coffee craze leaves Molly little time to have a life. Her customers have become her family, and she would do anything to keep her customers happy.
Even venturing over to the new Martial Arts studio next door, and asking them to keep the screaming and grunting to a minimum. Surely one doesn’t need to scream so much, right?

With Molly throwing down the gauntlet to quiet down or shut down, Kellan does the only thing he can do.
Take off the sparring gloves, and show the barista just what Powerhouse Martial Arts is all about.
Strength, style, & taking no prisoners.

A super smexy, laugh out loud, yet sweet romance with a sexy and arrogant Martial Arts instructor and a sassy and gorgeous barista. Sparks snapped, crackled, and popped between Molly and Kellan! I was thoroughly entertained and LOVED the sexual tension between these two. The banter was fun and irresistible and oh so GOOD. These two had me smiling the whole time and I really liked how well the plot and story seemed to draw me in.

I found these characters to be whole, well developed, and just perfect! I can see myself falling for Kellan and Molly, she would be a terrific friend. Winter Travers has got me utterly HOOKED on her Powerhouse MA series!

Dropkick My Heart gets a FLYING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It gave my heart one heck of a kick and was a fantastic read.

Life isn’t fair.
Hadley James learned early on in life the easy path was not in her future, and the past six months have been a testament to that. Losing her sister and getting guardianship of her nephew have knocked her world off its axis with no one there to help.
She takes the only job she can find to pay the bills, but it doesn’t exactly make her feel like the motherly type. Slinging cocktails ‘til two o’clock in the morning, then waking up four hours later to get her nephew out the door, leaves little time for anything but work and sleep.
Struggling to find a way to make ends meet, all Hadley wishes for is a normal life for her nephew, and a full night’s sleep for herself.
Is that really too much for a girl to ask for?

Life is damn good.
Tate Holten co-owns a successful karate studio, has a gorgeous house, a brand new car, and the freedom to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Life couldn’t have dealt him a better hand.
Although, spending most of his time at Powerhouse leaves Tate with little social life, and lately, he’s been looking for something different.
Something or someone to share his life with seems to be the only thing he can’t have.
Constantly searching for that one special thing leads Tate to Hadley, and he instantly knows she’s what he has been looking for.

Tate just wants to save Hadley and give her everything she needs, but Hadley isn’t looking for a handout from some stranger who watches her every night. Creepy much?
Tate is faced with his biggest challenge yet of convincing Hadley he isn’t some creeper looking to land in her bed for one night. But will Hadley give him the chance, or will Tate have to take love to the mat to prove to Hadley he’s just what she needs?

Another FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC read RIGHT here with Love On The Mat! This is the second book in the Powerhouse M.A. series, I have to say this one is my FAVORITE! Tate is such a HOTTIE! I freaking ADORED his protective side and his amazingly sexy body and personality. And Hadley...OMG I laughed with how suck-y of, parent she was, but yet, surprisingly I think she was also AMAZING at being a guardian...if that makes sense. I loved how she trusted her nephew and how well she carried on after her sister died and she became a guardian for her nephew. And when she met Tate...yea it was too hard to resist such a tempting man. The way these two were together was heartfelt, fun, sweet, and sexy. The sexual tension was HOT HOT HOT and the plot...yea I was definitely enamored with the plot!

You want fun and sexy, flirty and sweet, You get that with Love On The Mat. These characters are full of life and charm and are adorable together. The way Tate seemed to care and watch Hadley from the sidelines to keep her safe and protected was sigh worthy while the way Hadley lived her life was refreshing and realistic. I LOVED this story! Plus the a lot of these side characters have me curious and definitely wanting their stories  and see them in their happily ever afters.

Loved On The Mat gets a SIZZLING HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its incredible that I haven't found this author sooner and now I am SOOOOO happy with this series and can't wait to see whats next!
