Review of Fashionably Dead Down Under by Robyn Peterman

BLURB:

Welcome to Hell.
Literally.
The Hell where the Prince of Darkness is hotter than Hades, Hell Hounds smell like brownies and the Seven Deadly Sins are addicted to Facebook…Not to mention the soundtrack in the Underworld is Journey. For real.

I should have known no good could come from offing my parents in the space of twenty minutes no matter how psychotic and evil they were…

Now I find out my family tree includes almost every deity and mythological being alive while Ethan, the one and only love of my undead life has a limited time down under before he turns to dust. In the land of Sin, you’d think I’d get some nookie time with my man, but no. Baby Demons, cousins and grandparents put the kibosh on that. Blue balls are the new normal. What the hell does a half-Vampyre Half-Demon have to do to catch a break?

Apparently find a freakin’ sword, calm Mother Nature’s unmedicated mood swings and make sure Mister Rogers keeps his sticky fingers to himself during weekly poker with the Devil.

And I have three days to do it.

By all that’s unholy, I thought Ethan’s Vampyre family was crazy…Trust me, they have nothing on the Demons.

MY REVIEW:

Fashionably Dead Down Under is so FREAKING AWESOME that it left me in a pile of contented goo, smiling and still laughing over the funny situations Ethan and Astrid got into while they were in Hell. There was so many surprises and unforgettable moments that I am sure this book will be my #1 for a LONG time!
So Fashionably Dead Down Under leaves off where Astrid is dragged to hell, and is worried she will be in BIG trouble for killing the King of Hell, her father, only to find out that her daddy was NOT the big cheese but the BROTHER of Satan. And that Satan is her uncle! FOR REAL! Oh and that the Seven Deadly Sins are her cousins.
I read along as Astrid finds herself...a guest of the underworld and she desperately wants to get back to her mate, Ethan. Only to find out Ethan is in Hell as well and has only a limited time to be there before he turns to dust. Lucky for Astrid she knows a few people that can help with that problem.
Ethan is so freaking gorgeous, and downright possessive and protective of his beautiful, powerful mate. Heck, that is why he is down in Hell to begin with. Gosh, I totally love a man..er vampire, that takes protecting his mate seriously, plus he sure knows how to seduce his mate.
In FDDU we get to meet some new characters, and learn a lot of new things about Astrid and why she is so stinking powerful. I LOVE the fact that I never knew what to expect in the book. Ms. Peterman made sure to add a TON of surprises where you least expected and it kept me entertained and charmed till the very end. I gave Fashionably Dead Down Under a FANTASTIC FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Heck, it deserves a TEN! This book was a fun, outrageously hilarious, sexy read that will keep you guessing, and laughing till the very last page.

ARC Review of Forged by Jacquelyn Frank

BLURB:

From New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank comes a seductive new paranormal romance set in the World of the Nightwalkers, as a battle-scarred bodyguard and a sensitive beauty risk their lives—and their hearts—in the face of evil.

When Katrina Haynes discovers a large man lying wounded in the snow, she fears he is at death’s door. But as Kat tends to his injuries, she quickly realizes that they’re the least of her worries. With an irresistible Scottish brogue and a strange ability to harden his chiseled body like a statue, the stranger awakens a desire she is unable to resist—and a fascination about the intriguing world he exists in.

As a proud Gargoyle, Ahnvil must safeguard the Nightwalker to whom he’s sworn fealty. But as this bewitching woman nurses him back to health, arousing an almost uncontrollable hunger within him, he is possessed with the fierce impulse to protect her as well. And he will have to shield her—for by coming to his rescue, Kat has placed herself in the middle of a supernatural war . . . and exposed herself to dark, powerful magic. As human and Gargoyle forge an unbreakable bond, Kat will discover that despite his intimidating strength and size, one thing Ahnvil does not possess is a heart of stone.

MY REVIEW:

Its been so long since I read a Nighwalker book, that I forgot how seductive and breathtaking they were. Forged has got to be one of the BEST books of 2014! Jacquelyn Frank fans will NOT be disappointed. I will definitely be doing a reread and catching up on the Nighwalker books that I have missed.
I was transfixed by the story of a gorgeous Scottish Gargoyle named Ahnvil, who was once a slave and who escaped only to be injured during his escape. He was thankfully rescued by a beautiful woman, Katrina who has a few secrets of her own, ones she isn't even aware she has.
After saving Ahnvil from death outside in the snow, she treats his wounds and ends up donning an amulet that is cursed. So the two of them set out to get it removed as Ahnvil takes protecting the beautiful mortal seriously, things get dangerous and even though the sun can harm both him and Katirna and enemies come from everywhere to steal the amulet back, both Ahnvil and Katrina start to fall for each other.
I was really caught up in this story and found it to be dark, sexy, seductive..the perfect paranormal romance. Jacquelyn Frank creates a world so dark yet intriguing its no wonder so many have fallen for this Series. I give Forged a OUTSTANDING FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! This book will be etched into my memory for a long while as one of the most satisfying reads of this new year.

Review of Damaged by Indigo Sin

BLURB:

Monica Cassidy has a tragic past, one that drove her away from her home at a young age, with her younger siblings in tow. Living a life in hiding and avoiding close friendships becomes a part of their existence as they remain on the run from the man their mother married. Doing what she must to get by, Monica soon learns that she hasn't gone as unnoticed as she once thought.

Seth Jackson is a police officer with a big problem. After being assigned the case of solving the rising number of pick pocket thefts around the city, he finds himself unable to follow through with an arrest. The suspect intrigues him, drawing him in ways he knows he should fight, but his own past drives him to save her.

Passion ignites, throwing them into an emotional tailspin until one fateful night pushes them to their limits. Can Monica overcome the obstacles in her way and break down the walls she's spent years building up? Or is the damage irreparable?

MY REVIEW:
This has got to be one of the BEST books by Indigo Sin yet! I absolutely was taken in with Damaged and didn't want it to end. We have Monica a woman who was forced to pickpocket to survive after running away from home with her two siblings in tow because of her step-dad, and losing her job. It was very rough for her and her sister and brother. They were living in poverty, and weren't really making it with their bills when she was caught red-handed by the most SEXIEST and wonderful cop imaginable.
Seth stole my heart from the moment I read he caught up to little Miss pickpocket Monica and wouldn't stop chasing her until she let him help her and her siblings. He was utterly the most fascinating male cop I have read about in a LONG time. I couldn't help but to be fascinated by the story of a damaged young woman who needed protection and a gentle caring man, a cop, that was sexy as all get out and just about the most protective man I read about in a long while.
The sex was sweet, gentle, and surprisingly alluring. I thought, with the kind of past Monica had, this gentle love-making was perfect for this type of romance story and to me, it was steamy and ever so sexy.
Indigo Sin created, in my opinion, the most intriguing and captivating story as of yet. She not only created this masterpiece but she attempted a whole new genre in romance and just made it work in the best way possible. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this story. Or maybe I can. I give Damaged by Indigo Sin a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! I am ever so curious to see what else Indigo Sin has in store in the future in her writing career and I can't wait to find out!
If you haven't picked up Damaged, don't walk, but RUN to Amazon and pick your copy up. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Review of Dangerous Curves Ahead by Sugar Jamison

BLURB:
Ellis Garrett is dumping her critical boyfriend, opening a plus-size clothing store, and starting a blog—all to spread the word that fashion shouldn’t require a size-two body, and happiness should allow for the occasional cupcake. Or two. But is indulging fantasies about her sister’s long-ago ex, the still-hunky Michael Edwards, biting off more than she can chew?

Mike must be losing his detective’s touch. He doesn’t recognize Ellis when he bumps into her at Size Me Up, and he certainly doesn’t remember his ex-girlfriend’s outspoken sister being so irresistible. Her curves are indeed dangerous—and so is her wit. Could it be that Ellis is his Perfect Fit? One thing’s for sure: Mike will make it his sworn duty to find out…

MY REVIEW:

The one thing that caught my eye right away was this awesome and colorful cover. I ADORE a cover that has a curvy woman on the front of it! The title is the second thing that had me hooked on this book. It sounded fun, and downright sassy. How could I NOT be drawn in?
When I started reading this, I was instantly taken with Ellis. She is very curvy, smart, independent, sassy, and has this super sexy detective who is CRAZY for her. Now Mike is another likable and delectable character. He is charming, strong, sexy-as-sin, and has a thing for curvy women named Ellis.
I fell hard for this humorous and romantic read. I found myself laughing and giggling at Mike and Ellis's antics. They get into so much trouble (the VERY good kind) together that will have you sighing and shaking your head with a big ole' grin on your face.
Dangerous Curves Ahead is a laugh out loud, let-the-good-times-roll, spunky romantic fling that will have you gobbling up more. I absolutely LOVED this book and am quite enamored with Sugar Jamison and her A Perfect Fit novels and I know I will be anticipating each and every one for as long as they are written.
I gave this book a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! This is an absolute MUST read for lovers of Contemporary Romance that has the perfect combination of humor, and sexy romance, and even sexier and sassier heroes and heroines.

Review of Captured by the Pirate Laird by Amy Jarecki

BLURB:

Wed by proxy to a baron old enough to be her grandfather, Lady Anne trudges up the gangway of a galleon that will deliver her into the arms of a tyrant. Crestfallen, she believes her disastrous life cannot get worse—until she awakes to the blasts of cannon fire.

Facing certain death, Anne trembles in her stateroom while swords clash and the chilling screams of battle rage on the deck above. When a rugged Highlander kicks in her door, she prays for a swift end.

But Laird Calum MacLeod has a reason for plundering the ship—and it’s not a stunning English lass. With no other choice, he takes Anne to his crumbling keep on the isle of Raasay and sends a letter of ransom to her husband. In time, Anne grows to understand MacLeod’s plight and finds it increasingly difficult to resist Calum’s unsettling charm—until the baron sends a reply agreeing to terms.

Ripped from passion that will be forever seared into their souls, will Anne and Calum risk everything for love?

MY REVIEW:
Lately, I haven't read much historical romance because most of them seemed, lacking some how. With Captured by the Pirate Laird I was inspired once more with the magic of historical romance. I really was captivated with this story. I love Scots men and Calum was probably the finest Laird I read about. One who was more of a gentleman than a true captor. I found him to be calm, gentle, patient, and he never once threatened his captive, Anne, like I would of expected, especially since in most historical romances that involved a captor and captive usually the captor threatens the lady captive at least once, even if they never plan on following through and am using a threat just to make the captive behave. So this was a very nice change and quite an endearing one at that.
Lady Anne is another unique captive. She was always helping out. Whether it was mending wounds, helping with inventory or just being a kind and compassionate person when it came to Laird Calum's people. In previous historical romances, I found the English Lady to be rude at first and sometimes a bit selfish, but in Captured by the Pirate Laird, the heroine was a worthy person and incredibly beautiful, inside and out.
This is a well written story with lots of gentle romance, historical input to the time period, and a fresh change of pace when it comes to pirates and Scots, and captors and captives. I thoroughly enjoyed this romance and I hope to read more historical delights by Amy Jarecki. With all that said, it is no wonder I went ahead and rated this book a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! I definitely needed to read this and am so glad I did and enjoyed it. I am now officially hooked on the historical romance genre, thank you Captured by the Pirate Laird!

Reviews of Nobody's Perfect and Somebody's Angel by Kallypso Masters

BLURB:

NOBODY'S PERFECT is the continuing story of Savannah Gentry (now Savi Baker) and Damian Orlando from MASTERS AT ARMS (Rescue Me #0.5) and NOBODY'S HERO (Rescue Me #2).

Savannah/Savi escaped eleven years of abuse at the hands of her father and finally made a safe life for herself and her daughter. But when her father once again threatens her peace of mind—and her daughter’s safety—Savi runs to Damian Orlando for protection. Eight years earlier, Savannah shared one perfect day with Damian that changed both their young lives and resulted in a secret she no longer can hide. But being with Damian reawakens repressed memories and feelings she wants to keep hidden—buried. After witnessing a scene with Damian on Savi's first night at his private club, she begins to wonder if he could help her regain control of her life and reclaim her sexuality and identity.

Damian, a wounded warrior, has had his own dragons to fight in life, but has never forgotten Savannah. He will lay down his life to protect her and her daughter, but doesn’t believe he can offer more than that. She deserves a whole man, something he can never be after a firefight in Iraq. Damian has turned to SM to regain control of his life and emotions and fulfills the role of Service Top to “bottoms” at the club. However, he could never deliver those services to Savi, who needs someone gentle and loving, not the man he has become.

Will two wounded people find love and healing in each other’s arms?

MY REVIEW:

Out of all the Masters At Arms Series, this one was the most touching and heart-felt one so far. Nobody's Perfect is the continuation of Savannah's and Damian's story from Masters At Arms and Nobody's Hero. We get to see a WHOLE lot more of these characters and see what happens between these two wounded souls.
Damian is a true wounded warrior. He lost his foot and ankle in the line of duty and has a few issues he needs to work out himself but through everything he went through he never once forgotten the beautiful girl he rescued so many years ago in the Hotel he worked at. When Savi comes back into his life wish his daughter, Marisol in tow he can't turn them away. Especially when Savi is beaten and bruised from an attacker from Savi's past. He decides then and there that he wants both Marisol and Savi in his life and he will do WHATEVER it takes to keep them safe and with him, including breaking down Savi's walls she has around her heart from years of physical and sexual abuse.
I wanted to cry the most for Savannah, a beautiful woman who was abused by her father and sold to any of his sick clients for their perversions. She is nothing more then a sexual slave to her father, a man who should of loved and protected her, but instead treated her like a slave and a slut, and to Lyle, a very sick and cruel partner to her father. When reading this story, I was appalled at how she was treated for years and yet incredibly amazed at how she survived. Unfortunately when she survived, even though her physical wounds healed, her emotions and self worth were in shambles until she found a job helping other women who went through similar trauma. Then years later, Lyle comes looking for her and her house of cards comes tumbling down and she makes a run to the one man she has never forgotten, Damian.
After going to him for help, Damian does everything to keep her and his daughter safe. He slowly tries to get Savi to come out of her shell by using patience, love, and yes, some pain through whips, and other BDSM tools to help get her to trust him and to realize that with the right person, sex isn't scary, or harmful and can bring tremendous pleasure and peace to her wounded soul.
I liked seeing how gentle and patient Damian was with her. He didn't seem to push her more then he thought she could handle and he was there every time she made a break through and made sure she got the right treatment each time. I truly thought Nobody's Perfect was a story about two people relying on each other to blossom from past hurts and traumas and think this is one of the BEST books I have read in the BDSM in a long time. Kallypso Masters created a book filled with hot sex, complicated characters, and a story that is both touching and compelling all at once. I give this a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! If your looking for a romance with BDSM and that is touching, especially with characters with bad pasts, and with plenty of romance and of course, make-you-so-hot-you-can't-stand-it sex, then this is the series you WILL want to pick up.

BLURB:

When Marc d’Alessio first rescued the curvaceous and spirited Italian Angelina Giardano at the Masters at Arms Club, he never expected her to turn his safe, controlled life upside down and pull at his long-broken heartstrings. Months later, the intense fire of their attraction still rages, but something holds him back from committing to her completely. Worse, secrets and memories from his past join forces to further complicate his relationships with family, friends, and his beautiful angel.

Angelina cannot give all of herself to someone who hides himself from her. She loves Marc, the BDSM world he brought her into, and the way their bodies respond to one another, but she needs more. Though she destroyed the wolf mask he once wore, only he can remove the mask he dons daily to hide his emotions. In a desperate attempt to break through his defenses and reclaim her connection to the man she loves, she attempts a full frontal assault that sends him into a fast retreat, leaving her nobody’s angel once again.

Marc finds that running to the mountains no longer gives him solace but instead leaves him empty and alone. Angelina is the one woman worth the risk of opening his heart. Will he risk everything to become the man she deserves and the man he wants to be?

MY REVIEW:

Somebody's Angel is the continuation of Marc and Angelina's story. In this book, we see that Marc has some MAJOR issues to work through and how hard it is for Angelina to stick by someone who is constantly hiding his feelings and pushing her away.
Marc finds out some..disturbing news in this book. He finds out from his bitch of an ex, Melissa so cruelly informed him that he was adopted. Of course Marc doesn't believe her right away but it definitely didn't help the already shaky ground Marc was on emotional wise anyway. Things were already difficult as he tried to keep Angelina at arms length. He is also hiding from some things that happened in his past. Some things he isn't quite ready to dig into..at least not at the beginning of the book. Heck it took Marc most of the book to get through his issues and Angelina tried to help too..in the most interesting of ways.
Angelina is at war with herself. She loves Marc and wants to stick by him but at the same time, she is getting sick of Marc pushing her away constantly. She tries to dig about his past, but the more she digs, the harder he pushes her away. At one point in the book, Angelina decides to bring out her inner Domme (which I don't think she really has but she knows a Domme has something to do with his past and wants Marc to trust her with his secrets) to try to get some information from him. Now the Domme scene isn't something I normally get into but in this book, I understood why the heroine was using this form of play, and even though it didn't do a whole lot of good in bringing out Marc's past, I still thought it fit perfectly in this book and found it surprisingly hot.
Now after trying many things to get Marc to trust her, Angelina finally decides to leave, hoping Marc will finally seeing pushing her away isn't helping but it takes a long while for Marc to truly see what he is doing is wrong and to go after Angelina.
Somebody's Angel is a thoroughly enjoyable read with so much to offer. I got to see this story on a whole new light, basically how a couple that is meant for each other struggle through past hurts and hidden secrets and learn to trust each other with their hearts and not just with their bodies. There is still some pretty intense, arousing sex but I really liked how it was much more then that. I give Somebody's Angel a FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! I plan on doing a reread in the VERY near future.

ARC Review of Ecstasy Claimed by Setta Jay

BLURB:

Gregoire has spent centuries with his brother Guardians fighting for the safety and security of the Realms. Endless decades of battling mixed with bouts of mindless sex to sate his needs. Needs that haven’t truly been fulfilled since she was born. The one destined to be his bonded mate. For the last twenty five years Gregoire has kept his distance giving her time to grow into a female who is capable of handling his intense dominance.

Alyssa has done everything that was expected of her, until the day she finds out she has a mate who has left her unclaimed. Unheard of when mates are rare and coveted. Even worse is the fact that he is the most powerful of her race and a Guardian of the Realms. Furious at the rejection she decides she is now in charge of her life. No more will she allow others to rule her.

Against the backdrop of evil forces that are conspiring to topple the Realms, can Gregoire find his wayward mate before she is taken by corrupt Immortals? Can Alyssa forgive him and learn to exert her own female power while surrendering to his savage passion? And will the two of them be able to forge a mate bond that cannot be severed... or will they be forever cursed with an Ecstasy Unclaimed?

MY REVIEW:

I was Ecstatic to receive a ARC digital copy of the second A Guardians of the Realms Novel in  exchange for a honest review because after reading the first one and LOVING it, I knew right away I would LOOOOVE this book too, and I did! This book was so beyond captivating. I was yanked into this story from the first few sentences and as the book progressed, I was pulled in deeper and deeper with this story until I did NOT want it to end.
Ecstasy Claimed was spell-bounding and so incredibly erotic and sex as hell! I am in absolute LUST with Gregoire. He is one stunningly dominant, sexy Guardian. He definitely made me pant more than a few times in this book. I thought with Ecstasy Unbound, Urian would be my favorite, but nope, Setta Jay came up with another male even MORE yummy in this one.
Now Alyssa I can really picture being friends with. I love her strong, defiant nature and how really powerful she was in such a small form.  It was really fun seeing how Alyssa decided since Gregoire hadn't claimed her after she hit her majority, and she was still a virgin, she was going  on vacation with her friend at a special resort meant for sexual pleasure and get rid of that little nugget. Until Gregoire finally decides its time to claim his mate and finds her at his friend's resort, then he is deliciously angry and shows her EXACTLY who she belongs to.
When I read Ecstasy Unbound I knew the story and characters reminded me some of Sherrilyn Kenyons's Dark Hunter Series but there was another Series it was similar to, but I couldn't quite remember what until I got to this book. With the shapeshifting, it reminded me of Thea Harrison's Elder Races Series and just made the story that much better. Im telling you all, if you liked Thea Harrison's Elder Races Series and Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter Novels then I really believe you would like this series, especially if you enjoy INCREDIBLY HOT SEX!
In rating this I wish I could give Ecstasy Claimed a Ten out of Ten but since I can't, I will settle for giving this A FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! It really deserves that and more. Ecstasy Claimed is Captivating, sexy, dark story, with plenty of great sex and awesome characters. A true MUST read.

Review of Kissed by A Vampire by Patricia A. Wolf in this Multi Genre Collecition of Novellas

BLURB:

Lost in passions Sarah never dreamed possible, she wonders if a seductive encounter could lead to something more. But when Michael stands her up, she realizes it was all a fantasy.

Can a second chance meeting bring back the passions they once felt? Or will his vampire secret destroy everything?

MY REVIEW:

I know this a Collection of Novellas by several authors but I read one so far and am doing a review for Patricia A Wolf with her incredible new novella, Kissed by A Vampire. I absolutely LOVE vampire books, be they novellas or full length novels, so it was no wonder that I was more then thrilled to do a review for Kissed by A Vampire in this lovely Multi-Genre Collection of Novellas.

I really enjoyed this novella. I liked Sarah and how she detests flying especially since I myself do as well. I believe our feet are meant to be firmly on the ground, not flying and risking our lives in a dangerous flying contraption. I also liked her determination and loyalty to her friend who was getting hitched. It was the only reason why she even got on a plane to begin with because she wasn't going to upset her friend.
Michael is such a sweetheart! He is the kind of the gentleman vampire I always expected to read about but most often in most novels, I find out how arrogant and self centered they are. So glad in this novella, the vampire was so totally worth reading about. He is sexy, smart, concerned and a VERY generous and kind person. I like how he didn't want to screw things up with Sarah and made sure she enjoyed herself when they were together.
The sex was sensual and thrilling and made me sigh and groan in several scenes. I give this a FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS!! A worthy read for sure. I plan on reading the rest of the novellas and hopefully I can get a chance to review them as well.

Reviews of Masters At Arms (Book1), Nobody's Angel (Book2), and Nobody's Hero (Book 3) by Kallypso Masters

BLURB:

MASTERS AT ARMS begins the journey of three men, each on a quest for honor, acceptance, and to ease his unspoken pain. Their paths cross at one of the darkest points in their lives. As they try to come to terms with the aftermath--forging an unbreakable bond--will they ever truly become masters of their own fates? Or would fate become masters of them?
NOBODY'S ANGEL Marc d’Alessio might own a BDSM club with his fellow military veterans, Adam and Damian, but he keeps all women at a distance. When Marc rescues Angelina Giardano from a disastrous first BDSM experience at his club, however, an uncharacteristic attraction leaves him torn between his safe, but lonely world, and a possible future with his angel.
Angelina leaves BDSM behind only to have her dreams plagued by her Italian angel in a wolf mask. When she meets Marc at a bar in her hometown, she can’t shake the feeling she knows him, but has no idea why he reminds her of her angel. Marc’s search-and-rescue partner, widower Luke Denton, believes Angelina is the angel his wife promised to send him, convincing Marc she’s meant for Luke. While trying to protect Angelina from her abusive ex, though, Marc once again finds her at the
Masters at Arms Club where she turns his safe, controlled world upside down.

The books in the Rescue Me series are not stand-alone stories. Should be read in order.

MY REVIEW:

Masters At Arms is the first book in this series and is more of a introduction. We get to meet 3 delicious men  and get a bit of their back stories in this book and how they connect with each other and how they begin there journey together. We also get to see their pain and suffering and watch as they slowly move toward the path of healing.
I really enjoyed this first glimpse into the Masters At Arms and think it definitely made sense to have a book where its the introduction, especially when you have so many characters and have twists and turns and lots of back story, otherwise it would make the other books almost impossible to follow or understand.
I give the Masters At Arms a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! This is a story that will leave you crying at times, and makes it completely easy to understand each character in a way you wouldn't see without this book. A definite MUST READ.

Now on to Nobody's Angel. I LOVED this book and I mean LOVED it! Marc is probably one of my favorites and definitely had me swooning as he came to the rescue of Angelina. I got to see a bit of a ménage between Luc, Angelina, and Marc. But even as you get a bit of ménage with these three, Angelina's feelings for Marc are WAAAAY stronger.
Marc is the classic sexy Dom with a few issues. He doesn't want to have feelings for Angelina but he can't just forget or leave her especially when she is in danger from her horrible ex Dom who is just an abusive jerk.
Angelina is a gorgeous Italian woman with long dark hair and who is both sexy, shy, yet determined to get past her bad experience with BDSM that her ex almost ruined for her when he started to abuse her at the club by ignoring her safe-word and continuing with the scene they had first played out.
Luc thinks at first that Angelina is the woman his wife sent to him to get him to move on after her death but was just in fact a complete misunderstanding on his part. But he is a very chivalrous man and does not leave her in danger either. He protects her as good as Marc does and in the end everything works out just the way it is supposed to and we even get a glimpse of the REAL woman Luc's wife sent him toward the end, and I for one am looking forward to THAT story.
I give Nobody's Angel a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS. Its a magnificently sexy romance with real life-like BDSM that will leave you blown away. LOVED IT!

BLURB:

Retired Marine Master Sergeant Adam Montague has battled through four war zones, but now finds himself running from Karla Paxton, who has declared war on his heart. With a twenty-five year age difference, he feels he should be her guardian and protector, not her lover. But Karla's knack for turning up in his bed at inopportune times is killing his resolve to do the right thing. Karla isn't a little girl anymore—something his body reminds him of every chance it gets.

Karla Paxton fell in love with Adam when she was a sixteen-year-old runaway and he rescued her. Now, nine years later, she's determined to make Adam see her as a woman. But their age difference is only part of the problem. Adam has been a guardian and protector for lost and vulnerable souls most of his life, but a secret he has run from for more than three decades has kept him emotionally unable to admit he can love anyone. Will she be able to lower his guard long enough to break down the defenses around his heart and help him put to rest the ghosts from his past? In her all-out war to get Adam to surrender his heart, can the strong-willed Goth singer offer herself as his submissive—and at what cost to herself?

MY REVIEW:

I was amazed at how well Kallypso Masters did when it came to starting Nobody's Hero off at where it first ended in Masters At Arms. Even though the big age difference kind of spooked me a bit between Karla and Adam, I still thought this book was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The chemistry between Karla and Adam is stronger then ever and the sex these two have made me squirm in my own seat. Adam is such a strong male character with very strong protective instincts toward Karla. I did think though, that Adam was a bit..harsh with Karla at times all because of his need to try to keep emotional distance between them and he did it quite a bit. I know part of that was because he was almost uncomfortable at times with the huge age gap between them but I thought the majority of the reason was because of his own fears from both his past with his wife Joni and from his time with the Marines. Once he got over these issues for the most part, his caring and loving nature came out and he was quite a charmer and wonderful man to Karla.
Karla is absolutely lovely to me. She is kind, caring, sexy, and so soft hearted. She loves taking care of people especially when it comes to her love with Adam. She does almost ANYTHING for this man and she proves her love over and over again. The one thing I didn't quite care for was the fact she cried a lot. But that could just be because of her very gentle and innocent nature. She is still a strong heroine and absolutely perfect for the damaged Marine.
This story grabbed me from Masters At Arms and held me strong through Nobody's Hero and left me content and satisfied. I give Nobody's Hero a FOUR AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE!! This is a beautiful romance with plenty of realistic BDSM that left me both nervous and excited. A true winner in erotic romance.

Review of Love, Lex by Avery Aster

BLURB:

This summer I, Lex Easton, had planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites, Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth—until I’d caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit inducing incident happened around the same time I’d supposedly blown-up Mom’s penthouse. Like I’m walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse? Not! Now my besties and I are in jail.

Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin’ biker cop who arrested us keeps sticking his perfectly sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won’t. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right?—Lex Easton, Avon Porter Academy, Class of 2002.

MY REVIEW

Since I have read two books by Avery Aster, Undressed and Unscrupulous and enjoyed both, I knew I could NOT turn down an opportunity to read and review Love, Lex. When I first was gifted with this beautiful box set, I first had to take a few moments to admire this yummy cover before flying to Avery Aster's story, Love, Lex.
I found this story to be funny with plenty of snark, and with a GORGEOUS biker cop being involved, this just made it absolutely DELIC!
I can't say I was fond of the whole drug use in the book, but since it contained a LOT of humor and a smokin' hot cop, I have to say it was easy to overlook the whole drug use thing..plus there wasn't an over abundance of it in the book which definitely helped.
I really liked Lex. She is curvy, spirited, amusing, and just has such a strong loyalty to her friends and people she cares about. Now with sexy Officer Gotti, he was just the perfect male specimen. Sexy, charming, concerned, and dominating..*sigh* like I said, PERFECT.
Lex and her friends reminded me of a mix between rich gang members and teenage Kardashians. They stick together and I totally dig that. I did NOT like how some of the people in the book considered Lex to be fat..WHAT?! I thought she was GORGEOUS just the way she was.
I give Love, Lex a FOUR AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE because of its humor, sexiness, panty melting sex, and one drool worthy cop. I can sum this book up in one word...YUM! If your looking for a laugh out loud, sexy read then I suggest you pick up this incredible box set and read Love, Lex..plus with many other fantastic books and one low price, you definitely can't go wrong.

Review of Lusting The Enemy, Abducting the Princess, and Believe by Mel Teshco

BLURB:

Akeisha is on a mission to be chosen as part of a harem for the desert king, Judas. She’ll use her body to entice and beguile, do anything it takes to save the near-extinct larakytes, her shape-shifting silver panther tribe, from Judas’ human subjects, who are trying to eradicate them.

She never expects to succumb to the wild ecstasy in his arms, a pleasure that threatens to expose her inner cat even as it transcends anything she’s ever felt from one of her own kind.

Falling in love with a human enemy was never part of the plan, but maybe there’s more to Judas than meets the eye..

MY REVIEW:

First off, I have to tell you all how much I LOVE this cover! Its sexy, dark, and just plain gorgeous. Another thing I like is the title. With the title being "Lusting the Enemy" it definitely made me interested and more then willing the read this book and it give it my honest review.
I really liked both Judas and Akeisha. Judas is SMOKING HOT and has just the right amount of arrogance to make him even hotter and he has such a strong protective need for his people and Akeisha. I thought Judas was mouthwatering good and was the perfect hero in this short story.
Akeisha is a feisty thing. She is gorgeous and also has the strong urge to protect her people as well. She definitely didn't expect to fall for who she thought was the enemy. Akeisha is strong willed, sweet, but is stronger then anyone realizes is definitely the perfect heroine.
In Lusting the Enemy, sparks fly between Judas and Akeisha and secrets get let out. There is lots of action, passion, hot sex, and just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting. I give Lusting the Enemy a FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! For a short read with plenty of action and a steamy romance, Lusting the Enemy is the book you won't want to miss!

BLURB:

Princess Mira is everything Mahaya wants in a woman and a shape shifter, but he’s a nobody brought up by mortals who trained him as a thief. Even worse, he’s a nightmix, a human and larakyte panther offspring whose inner darkness keeps those around him in fear.

So what’s a nightmix to do but abduct the princess and save her from those who would do anything to kill her. Their lust burns bright, but Mira can’t trust her captor. Only time will tell if Mahaya can seize her heart forever.

MY REVIEW:

Another title that I love, and the cover...YUM! Abducting the Princess is a whirlwind of action, crackling romance, and steamy sex..
I liked Mahay the most in the book. He is a bad boy with a good heart. He is a thief but when he kidnaps Mira, he turns into a hero because he is doing it to protect her. The moment he takes her, chemistry springs up between these two and even though Mira is scared, her instincts come to life and she starts lusting for her captor.
Mira is a strong individual, but I didn't like her as much because she kept jumping from hot to cold with Mahaya. But then again I guess when your kidnapped, it has a tendency to make any woman a tad bit grumpy. I did however like her spirit and her heart.
This is another fast paced short story with lots of wonderfully wicked sex and spark induced passion, with plenty of mystery and action thrown in the mix. LOVED IT! I give Abducting the Princess a FOUR AND A HALF STARS OUT OF FIVE! A must read for those that love their paranormal romance.

BLURB:

James Edward Bowheart is a genius in the making, a student doctor who has it all . . . or so it seems.

His lawyer father is an alcoholic, his mother a strict, god-fearing woman with a critical eye and a cold heart. His sister, Josie, is warm, smart, and overly-sensitive. She sees things no one else can. In and out of mental institutions, she is reviled by their parents.

James begins to question his own logic, fearing the unknown when he too begins to see things, dream things, the drugs he has come to rely on exacerbating the problem.

Only when a new neighbor—a single and very pregnant young woman—helps him to see outside the square and accept the unexplainable, does he truly start to Believe . . .

MY REVIEW:

Believe is a touching, inspirational story that makes you question your own faith and what you believe in this world. There are some great characters and tons of touching moments with a smidgen of romance thrown in the mix.
I got to feel the confusing and anger of James who has more or less the same abilities of his sister, Josie, but who didn't want to admit it to himself or his sister, nor did he want to believe anything his sister said because then he would of had to acknowledge his own abilities and beliefs.
Now I really felt for Josie who didn't ignore her abilities and who just tried to help when she can when her visions hit, even though she didn't really think anyone would believe her, especially her parents, who in my opinion, were total asses to their daughter. She trudged on none the less and did her best with what was giving to her. She is such a tender hearted young woman with a determined spirit.
Believe is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and an incredible story of inspiration. Even though this was not the usual romance that I enjoy, I still thought this book quite good and deserved a rating of FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! This story will leave you touched and leave you in tears at times and make you question: Do you believe?
