Netgalley eARC Review- You Can Run (Laurel Snow #1) by Rebecca Zanetti!
BLURB:
“Be prepared to stay up all night . . .”*
Suspense, danger, romance, and family drama converge as a rising star profiler strives to stay one step ahead of the criminal mind—and discovers that her own demons may be the hardest to outrun...
Laurel Snow wouldn’t call hunting a serial killer a vacation, but with a pile of dead bodies unearthed near her Genesis Valley, WA, hometown, she’ll take what she can get. Yet something about this case stirs her in unexpected ways. Like the startling connection she feels to Dr. Abigail Caine, a fiercely intelligent witness with a disturbing knack for making Laurel feel like she has something on her. Then there’s Laurel’s attraction to Huck Rivers, the fish and wildlife officer guiding her to the crime scene—and into the wilderness . . .
A former soldier and a trained sniper, Huck’s thirst for blood is rivaled only by his fierce pursuit of Laurel. He’s been burned by love, wounded by the government, and betrayed before, and to say he has trust issues is the ultimate understatement . Plus, he might be closer to this killer than anybody knows…
Once in the heart of darkness with Huck, Laurel must negotiate her distracting desire for him, her complex rapport with Abigail—and her mission to find a serial killer among a growing list of suspects and a danger that’s far too close to home. So close in fact, Laurel fears she will never find her way back to the woman she once was . . .
*“Rebecca Zanetti takes you on a thrill-ride, pitting characters you love against impossible odds.”
—New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan*
MY REVIEW:
You Can Run is like watching an incredible thriller on TV...its vivid, breathtaking, edge of your seat exciting and impossible to keep your eyes off the pages!
This review was one of the hardest for me to write. Its not because the book was awful but because of the opposite. It was one of the most thrilling reads of 2021! It was loaded to the MAX with twists you don't see coming and with a slow tantalizing romance that grips your heart and has you wondering how the next book will turn out. I loved the way this book was written. Rebecca Zanetti wrote this book in a way that urges the reader to play detective throughout the story and help the heroine figure out who the killer really is. At least for me it felt that way and I really enjoyed it 100%.
Now lets talk a bit about Laurel and Huck. I really loved these two. Like a WHOOOOOOLE lot and I am already anxious to see where things go for them in the next book. Laurel is seriously a genius. Super intelligent, kind and isn't easily controlled by emotion, I found her to be a really endearing heroine. She is a beautiful heroine inside and out and I rooted for her from the moment I started reading. The way her mind works is fascinating and really amazing. Now Huck is a broody, borderline rude hero who quite honestly dug himself in my heart straight away. He is bold, sexy, prefers his amazing dog over most people and knows his way around the outdoors and mountains. I loved watching Huck and Laurel interact with each other and with other people during their investigations. They had such awesome chemistry and they worked great as a team. I think Huck is a perfect match for Laurel in every way. Their chemistry is a slow, steady burn that I feel a reader can sense right through the pages. I can't wait for more of these two!
You Can Run was a never ending, thrilling roller coaster ride with lots of spectacular twists and turns and will keep a reader engaged and guessing until the very end. This was well written GOLD!

ARC Review - Pretend You Want Me (Wilde Ways #13) by Cynthia Eden!
There is no problem that Aspen Gray can’t handle. No case that is too hard. No challenge too great. She’s a rising star criminal defense attorney, and she intends to have the world at her feet…until a ghost from her past comes back to wreck her carefully designed plans. A ghost who should have been in the ground. And when a dead man comes stalking you, what’s a woman to do?
Let things get Wilde.
As soon as she sets foot in the elite protection and security firm known as Wilde, Aspen knows that she must tread carefully. Her life is on the line, and everything that she has worked so hard to achieve can be destroyed…unless one very talented and dangerous Wilde agent can help her out. She needs a man with exceedingly deadly skills—and she needs him now.
He can practically see the secrets dripping from her…
It should have been a standard undercover operation. Gideon Ranier knew the drill. He was supposed to play the role of his new client’s boyfriend so that he could slip into her world, keep her safe, and unmask the jerk screwing around with her. Standard work. No big deal. Former Delta Force, he could do that type of job in his sleep. Except…he doesn’t count on actually falling for his client. But he does. Hard, fast, and deep, and soon…there is nothing that he won’t do for her.
It’s personal.
Lines are crossed. Desire grows too strong. Their need won’t be denied. But the attacks on Aspen are mounting. As an obsessed killer plays a deadly game, Gideon will have no choice but to fight harder and dirtier than he’s ever fought in his life in order to protect Aspen from a stalker hellbent on vengeance.
Author’s Note: He’s dangerous. She’s devious. They shouldn’t want each other so badly, but they do. Close proximity, a deadly threat…adrenaline is pumping and the desire between Aspen and Gideon will not be controlled. He’ll walk through hell to keep her safe…and, yes, he’s pretty much gonna have to do just that. Sexy times, dangerous deeds, and a happy ending are guaranteed in this stand-alone read. Be on the lookout for secrets, because there sure are plenty of those coming your way!

ARC Review - It's A Wonderful Werewolf by Cynthia Eden!
Oliver Abbott never intended to be a werewolf. Howling at the moon, sprouting fur, shifting into a beast...not exactly the life plan that the former Navy SEAL had anticipated. But an attack on a snow-filled night changes everything. Suddenly, Oliver has a new reality, and he has to leave the only woman he's ever loved, Gia Donato, in order to protect her from his wolfish side. Yeah, being a werewolf bites. Big time. Especially when you have the biggest, sharpest teeth in town.
But Christmas is a magical time...
On Christmas Eve, an angelical "intern" offers to grant Oliver one wish. Oliver can have anything he wants. His wish? He wishes that he'd never become a werewolf. Only that wish has unexpected consequences...Gia doesn't remember him, danger is stalking her, and, ho-ho-horror of horrors, Oliver is now a mild-mannered tax attorney. Nope, not happening. Especially the part where Gia is in danger. Oliver wants a do-over on the wish. STAT.
He will embrace his inner beast.
Oliver is an alpha werewolf for a reason. He wants his old, howl-at-the-moon life back, and he's going to take it—fangs, claws, fur, and everything else. With the help of his angel intern, Oliver's beast returns, and the hunt is on. Oliver is ready to fight for his second chance with Gia, and he will be at her side when danger comes to her door. Because there is no way that he will stand aside and let anyone hurt her. No way, no day. First, though, he has to convince the gorgeous Gia that she should give their love a second chance...
But it's Christmas, right? And anything can happen during the holiday season...even a miracle for a werewolf.
Author's note: Even werewolves can use a little Christmas magic. Deck the halls with some furry fun, dangerous dilemmas, and an uber hot hero who is prepared to grovel with hot chocolate for the woman who owns his heart. Someone is stalking her? Danger is at her door? Oliver will get his beast on in an instant in order to protect Gia. IT'S A WONDERUL WEREWOLF is a fun and festive novella (approximately 23,000 words) with an absolutely guaranteed happy ending.
