A few thousand dollars in damages later, she snags a job as a phone sex operator and seeks out a roommate to help fund her "stay out of jail" expenses. When Ashton learns that her new roommate has been the sexy phone sex caller, lines begin to blur between real life and fantasy. It was supposed to be a no-strings-attached situation; neither of them were ready for love again. Exclusive Excerpt:

His sweatpants from earlier were replaced by a pair of dark blue, deliciously fitting blue jeans and a snug grey, deep V-neck shirt. Jesus. The man was absolutely gorgeous. His shirt fit as if it were body paint, molding the muscles in his chest and shoulders. His pants encased his strong thighs, which slightly flexed as he turned in different angles to show me his outfit. “Don’t drown yourself in drool, girl. I’m not too familiar with CPR,” he joked, his hazel eyes twinkling in amusement. I blinked and focused my gaze on his smug expression. Even though I did think he looked damn good, he’d never know about it, the cocky bastard. “Don’t flatter yourself,” I scoffed, plucking a few more grapes from the bag. He chuckled. “Hey, I can read body language, baby. You got that ‘fuck me’ stare going on.” “First, I’m not your baby. Second, as fucking if,” I said, bringing my eyes to the bag of grapes. I wouldn’t necessarily say I wanted him to fuck me, but…the thought wasn’t too far off. “Seriously though, what do you think? Too casual for a bar? Not casual enough? Too tight looking?” I snorted. “Oh, it’s tight enough.” “So too tight?” “Eh, it’s fine.” “Fine?” He groaned. “Fine isn’t good enough. Now I need to go change.” He turned and headed toward his room. “God, and I thought I was a diva,” I teased. He turned and looked at me, a slight frown settling on his full lips. “What’s wrong with wanting to look good, Satan?” “Nothing. I just didn’t take you to be the particular type,” I replied with a smirk. “Well, I like to look good, especially when going to places for the first time.” “Fair enough,” I replied. “Then it looks good, Mr. Diva.” He grinned. “Like sexy good or ‘it’s fine’ good?” he asked, ignoring the nickname I gave him. I rolled my eyes. “Don’t be so obvious in fishing for compliments.” “Just a simple question.” “Fine. Sexy good. Now go away.” His grin turned into a full smile. “So you think I’m sexy then?” I scowled. Of course he’d try to twist the meaning of my words. “Your outfit, yes. You? Still questionable.” Though it wasn’t questionable. We both knew he looked good, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. He tsked and shook his head. “You’re ice cold, A.” “Glad we established that early,” I said and turned back to my grapes. He smirked. “Anyway, not sure when I’ll be back, so do you have a house key or something I can use? I don’t want to wake you,” he said. “Oh shit. I knew I forgot something,” I muttered mostly to myself. “You can borrow mine and I’ll get you one made tomorrow.” “Sounds legit, Satan.” “It’s Ashton.” “You got it, Satan.”

The Choice Tour Stop with ARC Review!

Heavenly Young doesn’t have time for romance. The innocent nursing student is struggling to care for her ailing father, keep a roof over their head, and start a new career. But fate decides to complicate her world even more by putting two very different men in her path and forcing her to make a choice that will change her life forever. Dr. Ken Beckman—vascular surgeon by day, super-alpha by night—has three hard-and-fast rules: Never date where he works, never touch vanillas, and never get tangled up with a virgin. But the moment he meets Heavenly, he aches to toss his scruples aside and claim the untouched beauty. She’s not ready for someone like him…but he wants her too much to walk away—even though he’s not the only man caught in her spell. Seth Cooper, ex-cop turned private eye, isn’t looking for a happily ever after, just a hot-and-sweaty good time. And the minute he claps eyes on Heavenly, he’s all for coaxing the angel into his bed. But soon, she’s so deep under his skin that he’s willing to put his broken past behind him and turn his life upside down for her. But he’s got competition… When it came to helping friends, Beck and Seth were in sync. But now they’re vying for the same girl, and the games get vicious—until they realize Heavenly is keeping secrets from them both. Will they call a truce and work together again before they both lose her for good?

MY REVIEW:

This book I have been anticipating since I read Raine's book. The Choice is INTENSE, BURSTING WITH PASSION, SOME DRAMA, AND INCREDIBLE, JAW-DROPPING SUSPENSE! The ending leaves you hanging from a cliff...you know the next book will feature more drama and more seduction and I am DYING to get my hands on it!

I have been DREAMING about Beck and Seth since they were introduced in the first Doms of her Life books. Beck seemed so dark, dangerous, almost wolfish, while Seth seemed a bit more charming and sweet. In The Choice seeing Beck and Seth go head to head as they both try to seduce and convince Heavenly into their beds had jealously zipping through my system. Beck turns out to be incredibly caring, protective, surprisingly sweet all while keeping his secrets. Seth turned out to be quite alluring and charming. He seduces Heavenly one date at a time yet still managed to create space between them when he thought he didn't have much chance. And Heavenly....she is so gentle, sweet, the ultimate caring person who I honestly adored. I LOVED it when both Seth and Beck worked together to help Heavenly and when they finally take her to bed...I thought my kindle was going to self destruct from the heat! So. Freaking. Hot. I am so in awe of this first book and am on the edge..BEGGING for the next book like YESTERDAY! A ABSOLUTE MUST MUST MUUUUUUST READ!

The Choice gets a INCREDIBLY ADDICTING TEN WHOLE SEXY STARS!

Raine's big brother shoved a glass of thick red vino in her hand. "So, did you find someone to fuck your brains out?" She recoiled. If she gave him an equally blunt answer, would he stop this mortifying inquisition? "Yes. It was easy." Heavenly punctuated her lie with a bright smile. River glowered. "Tell me Beck or Seth finally manned up." "He's someone you don't know." One of River's dark brows shot up. "Where did you meet him?" "Um…around." "What does that mean? A park? A bar? A grocery store? A swingers' club?" "Why does it matter? I found someone and it was lovely." He looked skeptical. "Lovely? That's how you describe meeting a stranger, losing your clothes, and banging him?" Heavenly bristled. "How would you describe a hookup?" "Hot, sweaty, messy. Mind-blowing. Spine-melting. Earth-shattering." River snorted. "Never lovely." "Sweaty?" She shuddered. "That sounds unpleasant. It was nice. I…tingled." "Tingled?" He scowled. "Did your pussy fall asleep because he couldn't find your clit? Maybe you should have given him a map." She nearly choked on her wine. "I found the experience perfectly satisfying." "Sweetheart, you don't know squat about satisfaction." Raine's brother leaned in and peered at her, eye to eye. "Here's what I think happened: You haven't so much as flirted with another man. You don't understand why 'lovely' sex is bad because you've never had it. In fact, not only did you not have sex with this mysterious 'stud,' you haven't offered the virginity you asked me to take to anyone else." "What. The fuck. Did you say?" Beck growled suddenly. Heavenly glanced over her shoulder. Both Beck and Seth glared from across the kitchen. Oh, no. "Get out," Seth snapped at River, hauling ass across the room. "Now. While you can still walk." Dread burned her veins. She didn't have to wonder how much they'd overheard. Obviously, it had been more than enough. Tonight had just gone from mortifying to catastrophic. River backed away, hands raised. "Hey, just so you know, I turned her down because I like my balls where they are." "That's the only reason you're getting to keep them," Beck insisted. "Seth told you to get the fuck out." "I'm leaving," River assured, then glanced her way. "Good luck." Once he'd gone, silence descended. She was alone with the two men who had been tempting, confusing, and consuming her for months. They were going to demand answers. This wouldn't end well. Heavenly drew in a shaky breath, startled to find both now inches away, arms crossed over their chests. Aggression rolled off them, filling the tense air. Beck drilled holes through her with narrowed eyes, set off by a scathing slash of his mouth. Seth's seething stare was no less displeased. Unfortunately, she had nothing to offer the savage beasts except a smile full of trembling bravado. Because the truth would change everything.

BLURB:

When the perfect staffing storm hits Jane Rochester’s temp agency, she winds up being Lincoln Chandler’s assistant for a week. Jane doesn’t do office romance, and her last relationship was one-sided. But one hot kiss from Lincoln changes everything. Now she has to decide if it’s love at first sight or just a fiery physical attraction.

He wasn’t looking for a relationship—particularly when his last girlfriend married Lincoln’s biggest competitor and took proprietary information with her in the bargain. But Jane Rochester is an undeniable force of nature, and the heat between them might be more than just a few hot nights in the bedroom.

MY REVIEW:

Tempting Jane is a contemporary romance hit! Its adorably sweet, tempting, fun, sigh-worthy and full of great banter, smart and smooth characters and a hell of a too cute plot!

The one thing that really called out to me was this gloriously sweet looking cover. It screams of a romance that you will find to pure goodness and will have you swooning and honestly, I felt like I got that and more from this book. This is a light entertaining read that can make you smile and will make you feel warm and gooey inside. Its a worthy read in my opinion and worth every penny!

Picture Perfect Lie AMAZON

All Campbell Faircloth wanted was a safe place to call home.
All Knight King wanted was to leave his hometown behind.
I never expected to end up in Castle Beach, surrounded by a family who believes that I’m not only their brother’s wife, but the mother of his infant daughter.
I can’t tell them the truth—Knight and I met only three days earlier, during a layover in Atlanta.
He was headed out to fight in a war that hardly anyone talked about anymore, and I was headed back home to a family who pretended that I didn’t exist.
He helped me with my baby.
He kept us safe while we slept.
We shared lunch and dinner… and I spilled all my secrets to him.
Then he gave me an address, along with an offer I couldn’t refuse.
*
Six months later he’s back to bury his brother, and my lie is about to be exposed.
Only Knight doesn’t say a word.
He goes along with the charade, and each day we spend together, pretending to be husband and wife, it’s getting harder and harder not to believe in our lie.
Could our picture perfect lie turn into a picture perfect forever?

MY REVIEW:

A light, fun, fast paced, sweet read that swept me off my feet and left me feeling all sorts of GOOD! I really liked both Campbell and Knight. This story is romantic and made me smile. I liked how Campbell and Knight were so cute together. And dealing with family sure got in interesting.

Marquita Valentine did a splendid job on Picture Perfect Lie! The story reaches out and snags your attention and keeps you well entertained throughout the story. It has a great mix of light hearted fun, sweetness, some sizzle and can make the heart sing! LOVE LOVE LOVED it!

ALTHOUGH I HAD SWORN to never be a woman who needs a man—well, to never be that woman again, I find myself being led by Knight and following him like he’s leading us to the Promised Land.
“Free food, free hot shower... and my company,” he says as we walk to the USO Lounge.
“What else can you ask for during an ice storm?” On second thought, maybe he is leading me to the land of soft beds and all the food I can eat.
“There’s something I didn’t tell you,” he says, stopping short of the entrance. Unease scuttles through me.
“What’s that?” I hold Hazel closer to me, breathing in her baby scent like it’s a talisman that can protect us.
“They think we’re married.”

Title: Come A Little Closer
Author: Kim Karr
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 28, 2018

I haven’t always been this bad…

Up until recently, I was the kind of girl who wore white cotton panties and bent at the knees rather than the waist.

Pomp and circumstance changed all that.

Jaxson Cassidy was my first taste of bad, and I liked it more than I should have. Just not in the way I was meant to. I couldn’t help myself though. I found him irresistible. That sexy grin, those skilled fingers, and that dirty, dirty mouth were a lethal combination.

I wasn’t supposed to want him. I wasn’t supposed to let him put his hands on me. I wasn’t supposed to do a lot of things…but I did.

He wants to keep me close.
I should push him away.

He says he can help me.
I’m not so sure.

For some reason, he thinks there’s good left in me.
What if he’s wrong?

Everyone knows a good boy can’t turn a bad girl around.
Everyone knows it’s always the other way.
Everyone…except him.

MY REVIEW:

AN INSANELY INTENSE, EMOTIONAL, DARK, COMPELLING READ! Wow! I am so used to happier, lighter stories from Kim Karr and in Come A Little Closer I got a more intense story that had me flipping the pages. There was plenty of twists I didn't see coming and so much depth to the plot and story. The characters are pretty darn interesting too.

This book really blew my mind. I liked how it had so much going on in the story. This was a great, unique, read and one I am excited to be talking about.

EXCERPT:

Prologue
Ivy
Super Bowl Sunday
Miami Gardens, Florida
I wring my hands nervously before realizing this won’t do me any good.
The overwhelming pandemonium from the NFL fans in the Hard Rock Stadium is nearly deafening, and I stare down at my palms, flexing my fingers as an anxiety-ridden anticipation courses through my body. I don’t want to do this, but it’s my only choice. There’s no other way.
Even though I’m certain it’s too late.
A slap on my shoulder jars me, drawing me from my conflicted thoughts, and my gaze locks with Corbin Hartson, the coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“All set?” he yells to be heard over the raucous crowd.
I nod. “All set!” I holler back with far more conviction than I feel.
“Then get out there. Let’s do this!” A slap on my shoulder punctuates his enthusiasm, and I resist the urge to rub the spot. What is it with coaches and players and the slapping thing? Geez.
I close my eyes and drag in deep breaths meant to be soothing, attempting to psych myself up to follow through with this plan. And I can’t help but be amazed at how this all came to be.
My eyes flash open, and I know this is it. It’s time. I can do this.
With my first step onto the field, carpeted with crunchy Bermuda grass, I force myself to put one foot in front of the other. My focus is centered on one thing—on one object—sitting on the fifty-yard line.
For the first time in my adult life, I’m wagering what I’ve long believed was cold and bitter. Useless.
My heart.
