Overdue Blog Tour Stop with an ARC Review!

Overdue, a swoonworthy best friend to lovers, standalone romance from Miranda Elaine is available now!
Growing up, Griffin Thorne was the most annoying, adorable, and infuriating boy I’d ever met. I told myself I wanted nothing to do with him, but no matter how much I tried to hate him, that crazy boy somehow became my best friend.
As teenagers, we were inseparable. Despite the high school rumors, we never crossed any lines. Friends forever. That was our motto.
Griffin grew up to become a smoking hot firefighter and I got my dream job as the town librarian. Life was perfect. However, when tragedy strikes and we’re forced to move in together, our friendship is put to the biggest test yet.
Do I risk everything for the chance at an epic love? If I follow my heart, I could lose my best friend. But if it works, we could finally get our very own Happily Ever After.

MY REVIEW:

Overdue is a fun filled, sexy and sweet friends to lovers romance that stole my heart and made me significantly happy and light!

This story was waaaaay too cute than I expected it to be. Light, sexy and ultra sweet with a swoon worthy storyline and characters that I downright adored, everything about this book was perfect!

Excerpt
It doesn’t take long to get to Jack’s place. Griffin and he have been working together for years. Jack has always been the biggest flirt and serial dater up until he met Shelby. But in the span of the eighteen months, he met her, got married in Vegas, and had a kid.
It was a quick courtship.
Shelby works as an interior designer on the island. She fixes up huge houses for the rich people who will only use them for a couple of months a year. The cookout this weekend was her idea since starting Monday she’s finally back at work since having their baby, Ava, two months ago. She doesn’t really have any coworkers other than her assistant, Sarah, so Jack invited all the other firefighters and their families over too.
We park on the street along with a half dozen other trucks and a few minivans from the family men. He’s out of the truck and over on my side before I can even get my things together.
“Hand it over,” he demands, his palm up waiting for me to comply.
I play dumb, wide eyes and innocence on my face. “What are you talking about?” I climb down the too big truck, trying desperately not to fall over . . . again.
“The book that’s hiding in your bag, Leni.” He points to the tote bag hanging to my side. “Come on now, give it to me. Easiest way for you not to give in to the desire to hide and read is to remove the temptation.”
“I left my book at home. Remember, you saw me set it down.” I play dumb.
“I’ve known you since we were nine. If you think I don’t know that you have a backup book in that bag, then you’re dead wrong.”
“Ugh!” I sigh dramatically as I pull out my well-loved copy of Emma and place it in his hand. He gently tosses it onto my seat, and I smack his shoulder as he does. He knows better than to throw around my books.
“Great, now the Kindle.” His voice is stern, and I know he means it.
“Seriously? Griffin, this is not cool. I’m a grown woman. I can go a few hours without reading.”
“Sure, you can. But I know you’ll get overwhelmed by the chaos that is definitely happening in there and you’ll retreat to a quiet corner.” He leans in close enough to me that I can smell his subtle cologne and shoves his hand deep into the tote, pulling my Kindle out in one fast swipe.
“Don’t you firefighters take obeying the law seriously?” I snark at him. “Seems to me you’re stealing my possessions and my lifeline.”
“Sue me. Hell, march downtown and file a report with any cop there. Good luck getting them to pursue it. I think they have much bigger fish to fry than me holding onto your electronics while we are at a social gathering. Don’t you think?”
“Grrr,” I growl at him before stomping off toward the gate with him on my heels. Before I can even acknowledge what is happening, he’s caught up to me and has me caged between him and the gate. I work hard to steady my breath, refusing to let him see how his closeness affects me. I feel his hand slide into the back pocket of my overalls. As quick as it’s there, it’s gone, along with my cell phone. The backup to my backup plan.
“I told you, Leni, I know you. You can have this with your Kindle app back on the way home!” he yells out to me as I let the gate behind me slam in front of him.
With a huff, I turn, open the gate, and storm angrily through it. Caught in a fit of laughter, he stands there watching me leave him behind. With the loud sound of the metal gate slamming behind me mixed with the booming laughter coming from Griffin, the party seems to come to a complete standstill.
Great . . . everyone is looking my way and my first instinct is to turn and run. But to prove to him I can do this, I stand tall, throw my long red hair over my shoulder, and march myself over to Shelby.

Review - Shadows by Kristen Proby!

 Shadows (Bayou Magic, #1)

MY REVIEW:

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Kristen Proby, comes an all new paranormal romance set in the mystical city of New Orleans…

I am never alone. Not even when I am alone.
I see the unquiet dead, the souls that wander through the French Quarter.
They can’t move on, and I can’t stop seeing them.
I wear malachite for protection, and I control what I let in. It’s the only way to stay sane. Everything changes the day Cassian Winslow joins my ghost walking tour and knocks my world off its axis with green eyes the color of the stone around my neck.
An unspeakable evil is loose in New Orleans, taking young women and leaving a bloodbath in his wake. More shadows lurking for me. More unhappy dead. There might be a way to stop it.
Open myself up to Cassian.
If I do, it could spell his death.
But if I don’t, it’s mine.

MY REVIEW:

A truly fascinating, breathtaking, suspenseful PNR unlike anything I have read before!

The characters are incredible, special and the romance was amazing. I loved the twists and suspense. It was a great read!

ARC Review - Staying Warm by Loni Ree!

 Staying Warm

BLURB:

One bed. Two Strangers. And a raging storm. There’s only one way to stay warm…

The travel brochure downright lied.
This small, isolated cabin has seen better days, and those days are long gone.
It also failed to mention other occupants.
Walking in the door, I’m shocked to find a stunning, half-dressed blonde walking out of the bedroom.
She’s as shocked to see me as I am to see her. But we have to make the most of a bad situation. The realtor double-booked this place and there’s no where else to go. A winter storm is coming, and neither of us will make it out of here before it blows through.
I’m stuck sharing a tiny cabin with an adorable firecracker who makes my heart race and other parts of me stand up and take notice—not such a bad deal, after all.
While I’m keeping her warm and safe, she’s stealing my heart.
Now, I just need to convince my little hellion our love affair doesn’t end the minute the snow plow clears the road…

MY REVIEW:

I was feeling chilled and cold till I read this hot little number! Staying Warm was a fast paced, insta-mmm romance that fired me up like a crackling fire in a fire place on a cold winter day!

I fell in love with the cozy atmosphere and the sizzling hot scenes as well as the sweet and sexy banter. Morgan and Mason have to be the best couple I have met yet from Miss Loni Ree. These two had me grinning and happy and filled my soul with warm fuzzies. I freaking loved this storyline too! It is the perfect quick read on a cold night because it is GUARENTEED to get you hot and bothered quick, fast and in a hurry. A deliciously fun read!

Staying Warm easily gets a SEXY FIVE COZY AND HOT STARS!!

ARC Review - Primal Protector (Gemma-Hydrox-Book 6) by LJ Vickery!

Primal Protector: Federal Paranormal Unit (Gemma-Hydrox Book 6) by [LJ Vickery]

BLURB:

Galvez is unapproachable, grumpy. He’s always a team player, but a loner when not on assignment. His philosophy? Get in, get it done, get out. But the individuals in this particular case aren’t making things easy. Several have gotten under his skin, and the mission is beginning to feel uncomfortably personal. One, brilliant, compelling woman in particular has him rethinking his reclusiveness, propelling him toward making the biggest reveal of his life.

Bambu’s existence has been turned upside-down. She's forced to work for her evil brother, caretake her five-year-old sister, and babysit a galaxial menagerie. She’s barely taken all that in stride when the enigmatic Galvez is thrust into her solar system. What’s she to do when he offers her hope and the potential for a strong partnership…strings attached?

MY REVIEW:

LJ Vickery brings yet another start studded, out of this world entertaining and sizzling read in her Gemma-Hydrox series!

Primal Protector is AWESOME stuff! For some reason, this book reminded me a bit of Guardians of The Galaxy movie. Why I don't know but it definitely made me smile and excited and I found myself thoroughly enjoying the book. Galvez and Bambu are amazing characters and have such a strong chemistry. I could feel the sizzle and slow burn between them from the first moment they are introduced and I loved seeing the sparks fly between them! The plot blew me away and kept me on my toes and their was definitely plenty of action. The scenery was amazing as well as the descriptions. It truly felt like I was in space and it made for one heck of a fun ride.

PRIMAL PROTECTOR GETS AN EXCITING FIVE OUT OF THIS WORLD STARS!

Bewitched Blog Tour Stop with An Amazing Playlist!

Bewitched (Betwixt & Between #2)

BLURB:

Forty-something Defiance Dayne only recently discovered she comes from a long line of powerful witches. Added to that was the teensy, infinitesimal fact that she is what’s called a charmling. One of three on the entire planet. And there are other witches who will stop at nothing to steal her immense power, which would basically involve her unfortunate and untimely death.

No one told her life after forty would mean having to learn new lifeskills—such as how to dodge supernatural assassins while casting from a moving vehicle—or that the sexiest man alive would be living in her basement.

Whoever said life begins at forty was clearly a master of the underappreciated and oft maligned understatement.

EXCERPT:

Smiling, I turned to see three people standing behind me, all with mouths slightly open in shock. Or awe.

I preferred awe. “Hey, guys.”

Annette, my spunky sidekick, blinked at me. Her mop of curly, chestnut hair had seen better days, including the large strand that covered one teardrop of her turquoise cat-eye glasses.

Next to her stood the tall glass of water known around these parts as Houston Metcalf, the city’s chief of police, and the tasty love interest of my deceased grandmother. Not that she let her state of deadness interfere with their relationship. The fact that he was graying at the temples did nothing to detract from his sweltering good looks.

But the pièce de résistance was the stunning specimen of drop-dead male beauty next to the chief. Standing just as tall, Roane was lean, muscular, and right off the cover of Men’s Health. His dark red hair, streaked with gold, brushed wide shoulders that tapered down to washboard abs. Not that I could see it now, but I had a fantastic memory when it came to all things Roane Wildes. A close-cropped beard, only a shade lighter than his hair and tinted silvery gray, framed his perfectly formed face.

And then there was, of course, the kilt.

As always, he wore a dark leather kilt and work boots like they’d been created just for him. I’d never been more grateful that this dream chose not to deviate from reality. Normally, my dreams would’ve had him wearing something ridiculous like polka dot pajamas and bunny slippers. Not that he wouldn’t still be spectacular. Especially with all the ink. But I liked reality much, much better.

I walked over to him and brushed my fingertips along his ribs, his thin T-shirt doing little to disguise the reflex of his stomach hardening under my touch. “Now this is my kind of dream.”

“Dream.” One corner of his seductively sculpted mouth rose.

But I didn’t know if he was questioning or confirming. “Dream,” I verified, just in case.

“Defiance,” Annette said. She covered her mouth with both hands and said from behind them, “Oh, my God. You’re . . . you’re here. You’re alive. You’re awake.”

“I am.” I moved in for a quick hug and she stiffened. Even in my dreams she wasn’t a hugger. I gave her a quickie then pulled back and smiled up at the chief. “Hey, Chief.” When I gave him a quick hug as well, he leaned into it but didn’t reciprocate.

Odd. He was a total hugger. “Daffodil.” He seemed just as surprised as Nette to see me. Also odd. A warm smile softened his face. “Are you okay?”

“Never better, Chief.” Turning to Roane, I grabbed a handful of his T-shirt and pulled him toward the stairs. “Come with me, mister.” Our hugging needed to be a little more . . . private. “Since I’m dreaming anyway, I may as well make it a wet one.”

The surprise on the chief’s face was precious, the wicked grin on Roane’s priceless.

“Deph.” Annette shifted her weight like she was suddenly uncomfortable. “We should probably talk.”

I turned to her. “Yeah, I don’t think so.” She wasn’t about to ruin what came next. “See this man right here?” I leaned in and bopped Roane softly on his perfectly shaped nose.

His grin widened, and he shook his head.

“This just happens to be the man of my dreams. And since I’m dreaming, there’s simply no better time to have sex with him.” I gave Roane a saucy once over. “We might should hurry before I wake up. Talk about coitus interruptus.”

He disguised a laugh as a cough behind a very large closed fist.

I almost drooled. “I can’t even imagine what those hands are capable of.”

He sobered and pulled his lower lip between teeth, eyes glistening with interest.

“Defiance.” Annette stepped closer. “You don’t understand. You’re not dreaming.”

“No, you don’t understand. Things like this don’t happen in real life.” I demonstrated by putting my hand on the banister.

The vines parted soundlessly, their movements graceful and hypnotic. “Therefore, this is a dream.” I practically melted against Roane. “Therefore again, you and I are going all the way. Twice.” I took his hand and led him up the stairs. Speaking over my shoulder, I elaborated, just in case he needed clarification. “We’re getting it on.”

“Defiance!” That time Annette seemed more appalled than hesitant.

The chief only chuckled.

“We’re taking a trip to pound town.”

“Stop,” she begged.

“We’re burying the bone.”

“Oh, my God, Deph, please.”

“We’re buttering the biscuit.”

“I’m not kidding.”

“We’re parking the Plymouth in the garage of love.” I lifted his hand over my shoulder and led him up the thick wooden steps. “I haven’t had a cookie dipped in this cream in far too long.” Then I turned and speared him with my best come hither. “Can you tie a knot into a cherry stem with your tongue?”

ARC Review - Caleb by Rosalie Redd!

 Caleb

BLURB:

Love blooms among the stars…

Caleb performs for crowds of women on a nightly basis as an exotic dancer in L.S. Quantum’s Star-Studded Male Revue. There’s never a shortage of available females eager to know him.
Until he opens his mouth and they discover his debilitating speech impediment.

But then a sexy space trader flies into port, challenges his deepest belief, and weaves her way into his very soul.

Space trader Adara yearns to become a talent promoter, but she’s bound to a restrictive contract with her captain. To break the agreement would cause dire consequences for her sister.
That’s not acceptable.
When a special batch of medical supplies brings her to the intergalactic cruise ship L.S. Quantum, she runs into gorgeously shy Caleb. Falling in love wasn’t part of the deal and now she must choose between her family and her heart.

MY REVIEW:

An intergalactic delight with a swoontastic hero and an unforgettable heroine! Caleb was such a great story! Well written, entertaining, heart warming and sensational with the best descriptions and the best kind of plot.

Rosalie Redd takes it out of the galaxy with Caleb! I can't help but to fall in love with the hero from the moment he is introduced. Fanged Love was hysterical! Its a modern day version of Dracula Dead and Loving it which had me doubled over in laughter, and kind of crushing just a bit on our fanged hero and had me girl crushing hard on our heroine!

This story was a TON of fun to read. It was extremely, brilliantly witty and the banter was roaringly funny and had a romance that was both outrageous and sexy, it made this book completely entertaining! Most fun PNR EVER!
