Today's review is for Eternal Island by K.S. Haigwood. Don't forget to stick around after the review as I harass, I mean interview Mrs. Haigwood.

This is the first book in the Eternal Series and I enjoyed every second of reading this book. I enjoyed seeing the characters interact and all the havoc the newly powerful witch, Ariana seems to create as she learns about her powers. Abe was a true alpha male and the fact that he was a vampire just made it all that more sweeter. Rainey is Abe's witch and psychic that he keeps on hand for the Island and she is just a ball of fun and maybe just a tad bit of a troublemaker too. This story has fun, adventure, romance, and laughs in every chapter and I honestly can't wait to read the other books in this series. This was a EASY four stars!!

Please give a warm welcome to Mrs. Haigwood!

First off I would like to thank you for being here today and  I like to say how happy I am to have you here to interview

1. Have you always wanted to write?

Hmmm... Yes and no. The reason I say that is because writing was something that came so natural to me that I didn't
realize it to be something I could do on a daily basis and ever call it a career. It's more of a necessity for me, like a stress reliever of sorts. I've
only been writing novels for a little under 3 years now, though. Writing poetry was something I did as a child. I started reading teen novels as a pre-teen,
then quickly graduated to Y/A and adult. If it had words in it and it was fiction, I wanted to read it. I never even considered writing a book of my own
until June, 2011. After several years of my nose being stuck in a book everytime I got the chance, my dad said to me in passing one day, 'Why don't you just
write your own? Then the story will happen the way you want it to." Of course my response to that was, "I can't write a book." Then I got to thinking about
it more and more. Eternal Island was not the first book I self-published, but it was the first book I wrote.

2 How did you come up with your wonderful Eternal Series?

An idea popped into my head one day about a normal young woman whose destiny held anything but normal.
The idea wouldn't leave me alone. I'd wake up thinking about it, think about it all day, then fight with my pillow at night because I couldn't go to sleep for
thinking about this one thought. That was it, just one thought. After two weeks, I sat down at my computer and the story just flowed out of me. I didn't think
about it at all. It was like the characters of the story were just up there in my head telling me what to write. I never do any research for my books. I am 100%
panster, and I didn't even know what that word meant until just a few months ago. A panster is someone that never plots or plans anything; they just sit down and
write and write until a book is born. That's me.

3 Do you plan on ending this series anytime soon?

No. The Eternal series is already written through the 3rd novel and there are at least 3 more to come after that
one. I don't see an end as of yet. Me and Ella keep coming up with new ideas for future books. Oh, Ella is my co-author for this series. I wrote the first three
novels, but they needed some major help. Ella is an amazing writer and editor (my editor, actually) and, after editing two of my novels, I introduced the Eternal
series to her and asked her if she would like to help me make them as great as I knew they could be. I couldn't have asked just anybody to co-author with me.
In order for two people to be able to write a book together they have to think alike. Even though Ella writes Satire and Thriller, we still mesh well together. lol.
Maybe it's the fact that she writes in a different genre than me that makes it so easy for us to see things from different point of views. But my characters love
her and she can totally see what they are thinking and the emotions they feel. Just last week she ran an idea by me, then said that it would probably fit in nicely
in book seven. So, no, the series will be around for a long time to come. And why would it end? Eternal Island is a whole other world full of new surprises.

4. Can you give us any information on your latest book in the Eternal Series?

There is a long list of characters in Eternal Island, and they all carry over to
Eternla Immortality, and then some. Ariana and Abe play a main role in this book, too, but it focuses more on Rainey and her trials with love and... well, I will just
say that she has a lot of issues to work out. Some will seem like a curse, but could be a blessing in disguise.
Eternal Immortality will release next month. We are going over the last draft now, then it will go through beta reading and formatting, then on to publishing.

Thank you so much for having me, Marie

It was a treat to have you with us today. Thanks for stopping by.
