ARC Review of Claiming Her Temporary Men by Grace Ryles

BLURB:

It started with an arrangement, temporary, no-strings-attached sex. On a journey to find herself, Emma Daniels never expected to fall into bed with two broody men for a little dominance play. Giving up her dreams of finding the one thing she has always wanted…a family, Emma decides to embark on a month long NSA sex with brothers Ryder and Chase. Emma finds herself falling for the hotties and wanting more, but their scarred past hinders them from giving her what she wants. Chase and Ryder Freeman have sworn off women, apart from one singular exception, sex. Meeting Emma, they never expected for her to stir those old emotions, the ones they kept buried deep inside. Determined not to give into those old feelings, they propose a compromise, one month, no strings attached. Can these three finally overcome the hurt of their past or will they succumb to it? Will Emma finally get what she always wanted by claiming her temporary men?
MY REVIEW:

Claiming Her Temporary Men by Grace Ryles was just as hot and captivating as the first book in Miss Ryles Grand Oak Springs. The dynamic between Emma, Chase, and Ryder is off the charts steamy and Miss Ryles style of writing is addicting and enjoyable.

When Emma meets Chase and Ryder, there is an instant attraction and things get heated fast. She has no problems being their sweet submissive because when she submits, she gets pleasure beyond her wild imaginings. Chase and Ryder are smitten the moment they meet sweet, sassy Emma. They know she will be the perfect sub between them and even though there was a few bumps in the road at first, all three realize pretty quickly that they want more then a quick fling.

The love scenes are incredibly HOT. So hot in fact they will no doubt leave you squirming uncontrollably, needy, and craving THAT kind of activity. It was really neat to see how at first everything starts out as JUST sex, then quickly turns into making love and cherishing the time Emma, Chase, and Ryder have together. Everything fell together beautifully and the story was put together nicely with some ups and downs in the book that kept things interesting and had a real life type of feel to it.

After reading this scrumptious menage romance, I decided to give this story an amazing FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! There is a connection between the characters that I felt immediately and the sex was beyond scorching. This book is sinfully delicious, addicting, sexy, and just plain AMAZING! I just loved this book and am looking forward to the next book.

ARC Review of Caged Wolf by Heather Long

BLURB:

Triplets, the Buckley brothers were inseparable until everything went wrong one violent, bloody night. A.J. Buckley, the eldest of the trio, faced a human trial for a brutal murder. Found guilty, he was sentenced to twenty-five to life. Without argument or regret, he accepted the sentence. After six years in prison, A.J.’s conviction is overturned on a technicality and he returns to Willow Bend to face a new Alpha and fresh charges.

Vivian Knox was the only witness to the murder. She refused to testify in the human courtroom and spent a year in prison on contempt charges. Once released, she worked tirelessly to free A.J., finally locating a loophole in the case against him. Satisfied with his freedom, the last thing she expected was to be kidnapped to the back of beyond where another judge demands she testify to what she saw that night. This time, contempt is the least of her problems.

Only four people know exactly what happened that night and none are talking. When pack law threatens Vivian, A.J. must stake his claim, but his wolf might be too damaged to help him…

MY REVIEW:

Heather Long's Caged Wolf was a powerfully emotional, sexy, addicting paranormal romantic delight! I was absolutely captivated with this story. I liked the characters, the action, and the passion. Everything felt perfectly balanced and I didn't feel like anything was missing from this story.

The characters had depth, passion, and were incredibly interesting to read about. We have A.J., a shifter who protected an innocent woman from going to prison for a murder she committed in self defense. He is caring, strong, loyal, and just plain sexy. Vivian is sweet, also loyal, beautiful, and has a heart of gold. I also LOVED A.J.'s brothers and think they are some of the best characters in the book. Certainly drool worthy, and just as loyal as their brother A.J.

I give Caged Wolf a SHINING FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its a beautifully written story with humor, loyal shifters, a sexy hero, and plenty of emotion. It was one of the best books I have read this summer. I HIGHLY recommend you run to Amazon and pick up your copy of Caged Wolf and get lost in a REALLY good book!

ARC Review of The White Witch's Legacy 1: Raven by Kelsie Belle

BLURB:

He knows he has to have her, but when he finally convinces her to let him take her home, she disappears without a trace after they share an electrifying night together. When she meets Xander Kane, he is everything she wants in a man and everything she cannot afford to let herself have right now. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles that confront them at every turn and find their way to love?

MY REVIEW:
The White Witch's Legacy 1: Raven, was an exciting, sexy, paranormal romantic treasure! It was no hard task reading this fun book by Kelsie Belle. From the moment I opened the book I was immediately snagged by the characters, the sensuality, the dynamic storytelling, and the melt-your-panties sex scenes.
We have Xander a sexy, hardened warrior who has a few secrets that he hides. He is incredibly strong, witty,  sex-on-a-stick gorgeous, and has the most electrifying personality. I enjoyed watching him struggle with his feelings for the beautiful witch, Raven. Raven's real name is Myra but Xander knows her as Raven, and she is white witch who is independent, determined, and is one beautiful woman. She doesn't know how to control her new formed powers and is honestly quite innocent yet incredibly determined to defeat the evil who is after her which just made me like her a whole lot. I LOVED when Xander and Raven got together. I could practically see the sparks fly in the book as they came together in a storm of wild passion that left both them wanting each other even more.
This book was just the perfect combination of adventure and romance. I couldn't think of a better story then The White Witch's Legacy 1: Raven. Its no wonder that I decided to give this a FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS! We have so many wonderful characters, strong passion, a TON of paranormal elements, and that perfect amount of romance that kept me hooked till the last page.

Who I Was by Kasidy Blake Blog Tour and Review

 Who I Was

Synopsis:

Lillian Jacobson was a very happy four year old. She had two loving parents and an older brother who put all other brothers to shame.

Everything changed one horrible night when her entire world was savagely torn apart. Her parents were brutally murdered in front of her eyes and she was left with a bullet wound in her shoulder as a constant reminder of the tragedy. Now she and her brother are living their lives in constant fear; every day a fight for survival.

After years of relative safety under witness protection, their situation turns from bad to worse. Betrayed by a man who swore to protect them, her brother is taken by the same people who ended her parents lives years before. She is moved to a secure location under the protection of two agents, but a complication arises that she never saw coming. She begins to fall for both men, who are also falling for her. When a letter arrives bearing the ultimatum, “Surrender yourself or your brother dies,” she must find a way to suppress her desires or she may never see her brother alive again.

MY REVIEW:

Who I Was is a completely captivating read. There is SO much action, emotion, tension, drama, and just awe-inspiring romance that it left me breathless and wanting MORE!

*SPOILER ALERT*

Author Kasidy Blake left us readers surprised, sad, and completely shocked. I truly liked how this story turned out. This is about a young woman, Lillian, who watched her parents get murdered when she was just a little girl. Her only family alive is her older brother, Parker who does everything in his power to protect her. These two end up being in protective custody for years and had so many identities. When the evil mobster that killed their parents find them in their latest identity, the FBI believe its safer to separate them. Things quickly go bad to worse when while they are moving, Parker gets kidnapped which leaves Lillian in the hands of sexy Braxton and Cannon, aka Wesson. She finds herself drawn to both Wesson and Braxton and soon things get heated between her and Wesson and gets a bit complicated with her and Braxton.

As you can tell, this story has A LOT to offer. I won't say anything more because its up to YOU dear readers, to pick this book up and read it to find out what else happens in this TO DIE FOR book. I however will say this book was one of the saddest, most wonderful reads I have read in a while. It left me in tears in some parts, sighing in others, and left me completely shocked and NEEDING the second book to find out how it turns out.

With that said, I give this an astounding FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS. It's a completely fantastic story that will capture your attention and keep you hooked till the end. I had such a hard time putting this story down. Every time I thought I could put it down, I read a little more and was dragged back in. Its THAT good.

ARC Review for Taming Chaos by Lynne St. James

BLURB:

In book one of Raining Chaos: From foster care to the Garden, Raining Chaos makes their debut. They learn fame and fortune comes with a price; it's all in how you deal with it that makes the journey worthwhile.
Chaos is told by the record company that what got them to the top is no longer cutting it so they’re sending a songwriter. Yeah, that goes over well…not…until she shows up. Their chemistry is off the charts, however, for a commitment phobia guy, does Chaos really want to take the chance with his and the band's future.
Cynda makes a promise and fulfilling it could cost her more than she ever expected. Rock stars can't be trusted, she knows, she lived with it all her life. When she shows up to meet the band, it all changes when she’s drawn to everything she vowed would never be in her future. But as Cynda feels the pull toward Chaos and joins them on the road, she realizes the cost of loving a rock star is huge. A simple job and promise will change her life, now she needs to figure out whether it would be for better or worse.
Jump on the bus as Raining Chaos sets out on their tour and join them to see if making music soothes the soul or breaks the heart.

MY REVIEW:

Holy rocking HOTNESS! Taming Chaos was one crazy, fun, passionate filled ride. I LOVED this book! This is book one in Lynne St. James's new series, Raining Chaos and is just one of the BEST book I have read in months. Its completely different then Miss James's Anamchara Series. Instead of Shifters we get sexy rockstars and feisty songwriters. I absolutely LOVED the differences and thought it was completely amazing to see into the lifestyle of a rock band.

Chaos is a hard-headed sexy Rock God who thinks he doesn't need a songwriter for his band. He thinks his music is great and so does Cynda. But she was hired to do a job, and do the job she will! Cynda is beautiful, sweet, has a spine of steel and when Chaos gives her hell, she gives it right back.

I really enjoyed the fact that this band doesn't do drugs and everything was so well-written and was a delight to read. Lynne St. James created a masterpiece with Taming Chaos and I see this book rising to the top...maybe even right next to Kylie Scott's Stage Dive Series! I liked seeing both Chaos's and Cynda's POVs and thought this was a completely satisfying read. Sparks don't just fly, they flare up so fast, it quickly becomes an inferno. The passion is strong, the sex dirty and smoking HOT, and this has the PERFECT amount of romance and edge you expect in any good romance. I liked seeing the ups and downs of being a rock band and it was nice knowing that everything isn't always peaches and cream just because your rich and famous.

This book deserves a FULL FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its truly a work of art. From the cover, to the title, to the story itself. It will capture your attention and keep you glued to your ereader till the very last page. So go ahead. Take a chance on Taming Chaos and see if you will fall in love with Chaos and his crazy, fun band. I can't WAIT for book 2!

ARC Review of Succumbing To The Horse Whisperer by Phoenix Aphrodite Hazelton

BLURB:

From around the world they come, mainly girls and women, in their thousands. Forsaking boyfriends, husbands, brothers and fathers, they flock to the horse whisperer wherever he appears, for he offers them what their own men cannot. Courting controversy wherever he ventures, Garth Brandenburg, the tall, blonde, handsome horse god proclaims a new gospel of personal salvation, one that is so insightful and powerful, that it will enable his followers to stand the test of the horse, that icon of human endeavor which has inspired and borne the greatest civilizations in their peace, wars and arts.

Into the horse whisperer’s domain enters a young woman, whose extraordinary beauty is only matched by her insistence on justice and equality in her relations with men. Siobhan Worthington wants what the blonde horse god is offering, salvation for her and her horse. Falling in love with him though, is something she has not bargained on. Trust me, he demands, utterly and completely for only then can I show you the way forward. Yet if she trusts him so absolutely, will she not be acknowledging his dominance? And if she succumbs to his dominance, what chance will their love have?

MY REVIEW:

Succumbing to the Horse Whisperer is a different yet sultry kind of romance that will no doubt leave readers content and pleasantly surprised with this new author, Phoenix Aphrodite Hazelton.

The characters are interesting, compelling, and some even feel like they could be good friends. Miss Hazelton created a story that has character, depth, and has way more oomph than the average romanceGarth is handsome, charming, and has tons of followers. Siobhan is beyond beautiful, smart, stubborn and believes to the fullest. When these two meet, passion starts to simmer, romance begins to bloom, and trust soon follows.

This story contains the kind of hot kink romance readers enjoy. The only real issue I had was I felt that everything was maybe too drawn out and in some areas of the book it was a bit hard to follow and I just wish there was more fiery sparks between Garth and Siobhan instead of the low simmer I seemed to have gotten with them.  I give Succumbing to the Horse Whisperer a THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS. For this being a first novel for Miss Hazelton, I feel like she is on the right path to becoming a well known author with her unique style of writing, and her use of HOT kinky sex that will have readers flocking for more.

ARC Review of Jaklyn's Saviors by Elle Boon

BLURB:

Jaklyn Marx learned at a young age what pain was at the hands of her father. For seventeen years she’d lived with the physical scars, and the knowledge that she was a latent wolf. When she meets two men who claimed she was meant to be theirs, she ran.
Gray and Colt had been searching for their Fated for thousands of years. When she ran they were prepared to do anything to find her and keep her, even call on a goddess for help.
Just when the trio finds happiness a demon from their past threatens to destroy them. Jaklyn refuses to allow her father to take anything else, especially her newfound love for the two men who save her past, present, and future.
They will need more than just love to defeat Seamus and his tainted pack. They’ll need the help of all the Ravens and a god or two in order to destroy something Cronus created.

MY REVIEW:

**SPOILER ALERT**

Jaklyn's Saviors is the third book in Elle Boon's Ravens of War Series. This story is about the lovely and scarred Jaklyn Marx who has shifter blood in her but unlike her pack, is unable to shift. She also happens to be Gray and Colt's mate. When these three get together and finally bond, it unleashes Jaklyn's ability to shift and also adds to the powers that Gray and Colt already have.

I really enjoyed this story immensely. Gray and Colt are a whole lot of fun. They have a very brotherly bond which also means they have the urge to constantly let smart-ass comments fly and they are always in need of a good brawl. I think these two were sexy, funny, and both have one thing in common, their love for Jaklyn. Jaklyn is a beautiful, wary woman who had a very nasty past with a extremely abusive father that made sure to show his hate for her often in the form of physical abuse. When she realizes that she is the mate of both Gray and Colt, she takes off and so the fun begins with Gray and Colt hot on her heels.

When they finally catch up to her, they have no problem showing her how much she means to them and they both plan on protecting her from her father who is back from the dead and wanting his revenge on the daughter he should of loved and protected when he was alive.

This story was well spaced out and the pace was steady with a lot of humor, great sex, sexy warriors, and determined heroines. I liked how everything flowed together beautifully and I felt that Elle Boon created a very fun and unique story with a lot of passion and heart in it. I give Jaklyn's Saviors an amazing FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! It is a load of fun and sexy as all get out and if you love your romances with paranormal elements and has both humor and heart in it, then I am pretty sure you will not only enjoy Jaklyn's Saviors, but ALL of Elle Boon's Ravens of War Series.

ARC Review of Shifted Perceptions (Alpha Division Book 2) by C.E. Black

BLURB:

If there's one thing Terry (aka Foxy) hates most, it's a traitor.

After Paul betrayed his team, he was given a second chance, though not everyone forgave the sexy jaguar shifter. In Foxy's mind, once a traitor, always a traitor, and she refuses to work with him. Even if he is too desirable for his own good.

When Foxy and Paul are thrown together on a mission, butting heads is an understatement. The struggle for dominance brings tension to every encounter between these two. Paul seems determined to keep Foxy safe and she's determined to keep her distance. But with every burning glance he shoots her way, and every husky word he utters, she wonders if he's more determined to drive her crazy with lust than anything else. Her only resolution is to keep her cool, though that's easier said than done, even with her firm determination to never sleep with a traitor.

Going undercover isn't Foxy's specialty, but when Teij says jump, she doesn't even question how high. Infiltrating this group of drug smugglers and finding out who's really running the show is only part of the job. Her first priority is finding her captured teammate, and when she meets Stone, leader of this small organization, things begin to heat up unexpectedly. Foxy knows how to use the attraction to her advantage. Using her feminine wiles in these situations is expected. It's what the Alpha Division does - Get close, get what you came for, and get out. Only, things aren't going as planned.

The secrets are piling up and time is running short, but Foxy's real problem is keeping her focus. Between Paul and Stone, she's having a hard time keeping her head - and her clothes - on straight.

MY REVIEW:

Shifted Perceptions by C.E. Black was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The cover is stunning, the title scrumptious, and the story itself was SO WORTH READING! I really liked Foxy. She is tough, feisty, strong, and has two world class smoking hot men who can't seem to get enough of her. Paul doesn't try to hide the fact he finds Foxy sexy. He goes out of his way to show and tell her. And boy does Foxy get ticked! But oh how fun it is to watch sparks fly from these two as they seem to go toe to toe often. Now Stone is the other man that was interesting and fun to read about. He is strong, intelligent, sexy, and the sexual tension between him and Foxy is CRAZY GOOD.

This romance had a lot of humor, action, and plenty of extremely HOT sex in it. I was immersed in Shifted Perceptions from the first word and I honestly couldn't be happier with how this sexy romance turned out. Miss Black created a world full of fun sexy shifters, sassy, strong women, and she made sure we got a glimpse into all three characters POV. I LOVED IT!

I thought everything was spaced out nicely and the plot was both compelling and easy to follow. So with everything said, I give Shifted Perceptions an amazing FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! If you like paranormal romance featuring sexy shifters, humor, and lots of action, then you will definitely enjoy C.E. Black's Alpha Division books.

ARC Review of Unexpectedly Yours by Michelle Roth

BLURB:

Elle Thomas has had a crush on Jim Conroy for months now. Among their small circle of friends, they're the only two single people left. It makes sense that he might gravitate toward her at social events, and maybe even flirt a little bit, right?  Elle can't help but want more, though.
Jim may be going insane. He's been chasing Elle for months. He's flirted with her, asked her out, and done everything else he could think of to get her attention short of skywriting his feelings. When Elle finally agrees to go out with him, things quickly heat up between them.
What starts out as a single spark of attraction between them quickly burns out of control. As they settle into the beginnings of a relationship, one moment will change their lives forever. Is their relationship strong enough to survive when reality sets in?

MY REVIEW:

Unexpectedly Yours was pleasantly pleasing.  This is a story about a group of friends that have all paired off, except two, Elle Thomas and Jim Conroy. The one thing I found amusing was both Elle and Jim had a crush on each other for years, but neither seems to realize the others feelings right away.

Things quickly change though and when these two finally hook up, sparks fly, and passion soars! I really like both Elle and Jim. Elle is  sweet, sassy, perfectly curvy and has a thing for gorgeous Jim. Jim is determined, kind, a bit possessive and has a nicely toned body. YUM!

Michelle Roth put together a combination of light humor, passionate sex, and heated romance that set my senses soaring. Roth also made sure to add the right amount of  difficulty to the relationship to make things interesting and kept the book at a steady pace. Unexpectedly Yours is written well, with some surprises that kept me entertained till the end.

FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS is what I give this delicious romance! It really is a captivating romance with lots to love including one sexy cover. Come and give Michelle Roth's Unexpectedly Yours a try and see what has readers wanting more.

ARC Review of The Witchling Grows Up (Family Pendragon 1) by Mary Moriarty

BLURB:

Dylan Pendragon is not what she appears to be. She looks like a twenty something, hippy, new-age follower… When in fact she is a ninety year old witchling from one of the oldest families connected with witch craft.
She has yet to get any powers so to speak. But she is destined to be the most powerful witch of them all…
And she is a virgin.
Justice is a seven thousand years old Vampire. He is the oldest friend to his former king of their kind, Cormac O’ Heachthanna. There are three things that vampires love. Blood, fighting and sex and not necessarily in that order. Justice lost his wife about six thousand years ago so he has devoted his life to keeping man kind safe… and he has had no sex in that many years.
The Dark One has one thing on his mind. Capture Dylan Pendragon and take what he thinks is his… her virginity and her power which will blossom like a rose once she is taken. He will do anything to get her and that power or die trying.
In the course of one night under a full moon two become connected and set into motion events that can’t be stopped that will ultimately bring victory for some or one and the rest will be cast into a void less underworld.
Can Justice show Dylan he wants to protect her without touching her? Will he listen to his heart where love that has been dormant for so long is waiting to be released.
Will Dylan allow Justice to protect her so she can figure out how to get her powers and be strong enough to fight the Dark One? Or will she fall and be the sacrifice that the Dark One intends her to be.

MY REVIEW:

Let me tell you all first thing how much I like this cover. I think its one of the prettiest I have seen. It has those really pretty blue colors (Blue is my favorite color btw) and the pretty girl who looks like she is holding a blue flame just adds more character to the cover. I also like the title and think it fits the story to perfection.

In The Witchling Grows Up we read about the Pendragon family and how very powerful they are. We begin with how Dylan first came to be. We get to meet her great grandparents and see how Dylan got to be noticed by Justice from the start.

I just LOVED how wonderful and unique of a story this was. We get to see powerful families, dark, sexy vampires, familiars, dragons. Oh yea, a whole lot of my favorite things! I got to see some light humor, plenty of action, a well written story filled with how the witches and vampires came to be and we get lots of great background on them. It also shows glimpses on how this story will continue for Mary Moriarty's new Family Pendragon Series.

I was completely enthralled with The Witchling Grows Up and know from this first book, that the next one will be even better and I am looking forward to finding out what else Miss Moriarty has in store for us readers. I give this a lovely FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! If your into colorful, unique, imaginative stories featuring witches, dragons, vampires and many other wonderful things, then I suggest you read The Witchling Grows Up and see how it all began.
