Will Logan be able to adjust to his new life and accept his place beside Celeste and Farron?

MY REVIEW:

I am going to jump right into my review and talk about the characters from Logan's Company. Every single character in Logan's Company were strong and passionate and so very memorable. They have strong minds, good hearts, and the love they have for one another is something to behold. I can't even tell you which is my favorite character because Celeste, Farron, and Logan each had traits and characteristics that went beyond anything I have seen in previous books and from previous characters.

The story itself was REALLY....I mean REALLY well written too. It had a good plot, plenty of action, some seriously HOT sex, and a bit of suspense. I was intrigued from the beginning with the story. I loved how it immediately started with action. Nothing gets a reader into a story faster than some action. As the first chapter starts, I felt like I was in an action film, and that was thrilling to me! I give a hand to Dace Everan for such a wonderful story full of...well pretty much everything.

With plenty of action and the battle of love between Celeste, Logan, and Fallon, I felt it deserved a STUNNING FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its amazingly written with good characters and plenty of smoking hot sex! YUM!

Keanu’s investigation into the arson plaguing his hometown is heating up, and so is his relationship with Cammie. But it soon becomes clear that Cammie isn’t a bystander, she is a target. As Keanu tries to uncover the truth, things turn deadly, and as the smoke clears there is more than just one elemental who has their sights set on Cammie.

MY REVIEW:

Elle Boon has done it again with a NEW book in a brand spanking NEW series! FireStarter set me on fire with its unique and unforgettable characters and well written plot. FireStarter Set me ablaze with the passion and the edginess of the story. It has a wonderful mix of suspense and romance.

Keanu is the one with the power to produce flames and to take them back into himself. I really thought this power was something else. It is not only different then someone with psychic abilities, but it is the kind of power only someone good could have because it can be a very dangerous power as well. Keanu is a sexy Native American with a strong build and is sexy as can be. Now Cammie has got to be one of my absolute favorite heroines of all time. Not only is she super pretty and smart, she is one hell of a kick-ass heroine. She can be sweet and feminine and vulnerable when you expect it, and she can beat you down and kick your ass if your a perverted bastard. I really LOVED the fact she can defend herself! But I found her even more likable because she is super sweet and fun to be around.

The romance is pretty freaking H-O-T in FireStarter. The passion and lust in FireStarter is so HOT in fact, it will melt you on the spot and may cause self combustion.  Elle Boon has a incredible knack for bringing us readers a story that is new and different but OH SO GOOD. For FireStarter, I give a FANTASTIC FOUR FIERY STARS!! If you like a book with sexy Native Americans with awesome elemental abilities that will blow your mind and melt your heart, then FireStarter may be for you. Come and grab a copy of FireStarter and see why I love Elle Boon's work so much. I don't think you will regret it.

EXCERPT:

“Oh baby, we are so much more than stuck together.” He crowded her against the Jeep. “Where the good Lord split me, huh? I think I need to work on splitting you a little more.”
“You’re not going to distract me with your giant penis.” She punctuated each word with a poke of her finger to his chest.
Keanu nuzzled her neck, licking a trail down her throat. “Are you sure about that?”
“I think so.” Cammie gasped. “What are you doing?”
“Making sure you didn’t get cut by any glass.”
“Keanu, I’m pretty sure I didn’t cut my punani during my climb out the window.” The laughter in her voice lifted some of the worry from him.
“So, is that what you call this little slice of heaven?” He rubbed a finger up her slit through the material of her underwear.
“Uh huh,” Cammie moaned.
“Wrap your legs around my waist.”
He was happy when she obliged, and the fact she had flimsy panties on was a major boon. He used her momentary distraction to tear at his fly, releasing his dick and pointing it straight up to paradise. Remembering she was still new to this, he paused.
“Are you too sore?”
“God, no, Keanu. Fuck me.” She helped him by pulling her panties to the side and relaxing her legs, sliding down onto his cock.
“Yes,” they cried in unison.
With her back braced against the vehicle, he used his grip on her ass to guide her body up, down, and up again. He set a furious pace, needing to reaffirm she was safe, that they were both alive.

That's A Lie by Victoria Klahr Blog Tour

Find out if Seth will be able to show Josie the true meaning of love in,
That's a Lie
the sequel to That's a Promise.

TITLE: That’s a Lie (Promises, Promises #2)
AUTHOR: Victoria Klahr
GENRE: Contemporary Adult, New Adult
RE-RELEASED: February 27, 2015

SYNOPSIS:
Seth is back.

When he walked back into my life, it almost felt like the pieces of my broken heart could be fixed. I thought we could go back to being best friends, but then I started to feel what I had been blocking out for years. I tried. Boy, did I try! But once I started to let him in, I wanted nothing more than to cross that line from friendship into something more…

Just when I think I can move on and let myself be happy, an ugly reminder from my past comes storming in and threatens to destroy the sliver of hope that's been growing since Seth came back.

Do I even deserve to be loved?

“I’m not asking to fix your heart. I’m not asking to mend you. I love each and every shattered piece of you. I’m asking that you let me love you. Let me love each piece of your broken heart, and I swear to you I will make up for every heartache you have ever experienced.”

I came back for Josie.

I knew I'd have to fight for her, but with the loss of her dad and the truth about what happened with her and Blake, I quickly realized that making her mine was going to be a lot harder than I first thought. The problem is, I can’t pretend like she’s just my best friend. I can’t pretend I don’t want more.

I'm willing to do anything to get her to admit she has the same passionate feelings for me, because I know once she opens up and stops lying to herself, I can show her what it really means to be loved. It's a battle of wills, but my love for her is stronger than her will to stop me.

So I fight for her. I fight because I know she deserves it.

MY REVIEW:

I quite enjoyed That's A Lie by Victoria Klahr. It pretty much picks up where things left off in That's A Promise. I was so glad to see Seth back, he was the one I really hoped Josie would end up with. The fact that it took a few years before Seth returns made me dislike him a bit, but I found in That's A Lie, that Seth makes things up with Josie and my dislike of him quickly dims and vanishes like it never even existed. Of course Seth wasn't the only one to blame for things in That's A Promise either. Josie made a lot of mistakes and when Seth comes back she is determined to not only be truthful to the man she truly loves, but to make sure things don't go sour again.

That's A Lie was a truly phenomenal story. It was a bit edgy and sweet and passionate. The characters are well created and unforgettable while the story sweeps you away. I found myself cheering Josie and Seth on through the WHOLE STORY and I also found myself to tears with how everything comes together. Victoria Klahr has a true knack for creating a story that will hook you from the beginning to the very end.

I can't say enough how good That's A Lie was, than again maybe my rating will. I gave this a SMASHING FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS! This story captures your attention from page one while the characters grab hold of you, making you beg from the edge of your seats for their happiness. Victoria Klahr made me a fan from That's A Promise and she continued to deliver with That's A Lie. AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!

Excerpt from That’s a Lie

I was instantly distracted as I walked into the space. Seth. Shirtless. I don't think I need to explain my lack of focus. Or the drool.

"You lied to me," he said gruffly, sitting on the barstool at my counter. His blond hair flopped in front of his eyes, and my hands itched to push it back. Touching him again the way I wanted to would satisfy only a millimeter of the need I have, but it would relieve some of the pain. I turned around to hide my thoughts.

"Ugh . . . I need coffee," I said vacantly, reaching for my coffee maker. I didn't even hear Seth move, but his hand grabbed mine and he turned me around, placing his hands beside me on the countertop to trap me. My breath caught, and I was positive he could hear my heart pounding in my chest.

His blue-green eyes screamed hurt and anger, but I didn't even care about him being mad. All that mattered was the charge that thumped between us. I was very aware of him. "You lied, Josie. You're not supposed to lie to me.""Seth . . . Come on," I said, turning my face away, unable to look at the raw emotion in his expression. His hand dashed out and grabbed my chin.

"How long, Josie?" he asked. I closed my eyes, not wanting to admit anything. "Open your damn eyes, Jos. Stop fucking hiding." His voice was hard, but it was also full of desperation. I opened my eyes and narrowed them at him. He didn’t understand that I needed to keep him away from me. My life is tainted by darkness, and he

doesn't need that. Yes, I lied to the one person who I said I wouldn't deceive again, but it was for his own good! "It doesn't matter, Seth. I'm fine.""Like fucking hell it doesn't matter. I haven't heard you scream like that since your nightmares after you were raped!"
The haunting reminder brought back vivid memories of that time. He or one of my dads would come lay with me to help me fall asleep. Every day that Seth wasn't in school, he was there with me, trying to make the nightmares go away. "Since the engagement party," I whispered, looking down. I don't know why I admitted it, but I think part of me realized I couldn't hold on to all this pain anymore. That's when my resolve started to break. How long could I go on fighting the feelings that I have for Seth? How long could I act like nothing hurts me? "Fuck, Jos . . . ," he whispered back, placing his forehead against mine. His signature smell of hay and apple pie drifted around me, and I almost lost my footing from wanting him so bad. "You should have told me.""I didn't want you to worry." "I worry about you every second you're not with me, Pussycat. Every second that you hide behind that
wall you've built, I wonder when you're going to crack." His hand reached up to caress my face, and I leaned into his touch. It was only an infinitesimal movement, but I still heard Seth's breath hitch. My lapse in self-control made him bold. He brought his mouth to the side of mine, and kissed me. I couldn't stop the
whimper before it escaped my mouth. "There you are," he whispered hoarsely against my lips, always seeing me, even when I didn’t want him to. I wanted to bask in the moment, but I had already opened up to him too much. I pushed through
his barricade and ran back to my room. "I've got to help Dad at the garage today," I threw out as an explanation, and then I went to hide in my shower.

Craving Cameo by TL Reeve Cover Reveal!

Blurb:

The daughter of the Sentinels pack and MC Alpha, Cameo Cruz moved across country to escape her pack—and the wolf she can never have. Making a new life, she embraced her freedom and went to school. One partying night with her best friend shatters her bubble of safety, and she’s forced to do the one thing she swore she never would…ask for help.
Quade Rainwater lives for his pack and the life the Sentinels Alpha gave him when he took him in. He’d do anything for them, even cut himself off from the she-wolf he’s loved for as long as he’s known her. When all hell breaks loose and someone puts a bounty on his girl, Quade will cross the country to protect her. Unfortunately for him, he’s the last person she wants to see.
All he has to do is keep her safe from the bounty hunters, the locals, and himself….

Excerpt:

“Why? Why are you here?”
“Do you really think I want to be here?” he asked. “Do you think I find it fun leaving my home to drive clear across the fucking country to find you? Huh? I don’t want to be here anymore than you want me here, but your fucking father—” He snarled and began to pace. “He’s losing it where you’re concerned.”
“Well.” She gave a humorless chuckle, turning away from him. “You can tell him I’m perfectly fine.” She wouldn’t give her father or him the benefit of seeing her fear. She’d take care of the other problem on her own.
“Little girl, don’t start.” He laid his hands on her shoulders, and she shrugged them off. “Don’t you know you have a bounty on your head?”
“What?” She whirled around and stared up at him.
“The other night when you called Hui, Xavier also found out about a bounty on your head.” Indifference seemed to coat his unreadable expression and words. “There are more coming. They’ll be here by tonight. We need to leave. If I can get you to your dad—”
“No.”
“Cameo,” he snapped. “This is not a fucking game.”
“You’re right. It’s not a game. I will not forfeit my life for some bounty. I’m staying.” She wouldn’t add he could stay and watch over her.
“Well, you’ve got two choices, sweetheart. Come with me or wait to be picked up by the guys who are out for your bounty.” He didn’t blink. He didn’t get angry, nothing.
“My answer is still no.” Crossing her arms, she arched a brow, daring him to say something to the contrary. She played with fire, knowing full well what might happen if she pushed him too far. Quade was not a wolf used to hearing the word no. His nostrils flared. His body tightened.
“Damn it, Cameo,” he growled, while taking a step toward her. “Why are you being so damn obstinate?”
She blew him off and pushed past him, crossing the room to her small fridge. “I’m sorry if I seem obstinate to you, but this is my life we’re talking about.”
“Is this because I wouldn’t give you the time of day?” Typical wolf. Always thinking with their penis.
“Not hardly.”
“What in the hell do you want from me?”
Want from him? She didn’t want anything from him. She hadn’t even wanted to see him again.
In two strides, he closed the distance between them and dipped his head. “Is this what you want?” He nuzzled her neck and groaned. “Tell me,” he demanded. “Do you want me to drop to my knees and beg for forgiveness? To tell you I’ve wanted you since the moment you turned eighteen?” His lips were only inches from her ear. His warm breath brushed against the shell, causing her to shiver. “You ran away from me.”
“Ran away from you? I left home so I could get an education and be someone better than a thug.” She grimaced inwardly when he flinched and withdrew from her. Quade wasn’t a thug, neither was her father.
“So, I’m a thug now?” He shook his head while clenching his fists at his sides. “Are you saying when you were on pack lands you thought so low of me…of your father and our friends?”
“Now you’re twisting my words.”
“Am I? Didn’t you say you left home so you didn’t become one, meaning we, the members of your pack, are thugs?” He cocked a brow, daring her to say something else stupid. Insert foot in mouth, dummy.
“Look, I didn’t storm into your home and pick a fight with you. So…so why don’t you leave?” Brilliant! Way to go you.
A dark sinful chuckle passed his lips as he pulled her to him, engulfing her in his embrace. “You never did know when to shut up.”
His lips slammed down on hers in a brutal kiss. He tasted of danger and excitement. Of raw masculine power. Cameo’s wolf preened, desperate to rub all over him and submit to his dominance. He swiped his tongue across hers, and she became a puddle of goo. “Would you like to know where my mark will go when I mate you?”
