Audiobook Review - Diary Of A Bad Boy by Meghan Quinn!

BLURB:

From USA Today best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a sassy and sweet romance about an Irish rebel who falls in love with the wrong girl. Full of witty banter and swoony moments, it's the perfect romantic comedy to binge on.
Dear Diary,
I might have gotten myself into a wee bit of trouble - and I'm not talking about the "court mandated community service", or “therapy sessions from bashing a bloke in the head" kind of trouble.
I wish it were that simple.
Nope. I’m talking about the "falling in love with one of my client's daughters”, kind of trouble...The kind of problem I can’t talk my way out of when the truth gets out.
How I ended up with her phone is a long story - and when she called to get it back, I took things a bit too far. One innocent exchange wound up leading to so much more.
Fun, new, and totally immune to my charm, Sutton is different. And I had no idea she was the daughter of Foster Green.
Blame it on the dark colored stout running through my veins, pushing me toward one bad decision after another. Pushing me toward her even though I know right from wrong; even though she's my client's daughter.
Dating her might be the best or worst decision I've ever made. Only time, whiskey, and one more roll around the mattress with her will tell.
Roark

MY REVIEW:

Narrators John Hartley and Lauren Ezzo brought this book to amazing life and made it sincerely fun and sincerely swoony!

This is my first audiobook from Meghan Quinn I have listened to and I can say with pure happiness, it will not be my last. John Hartley's Irish brogue made my knees weak. I loved every second of the crackling tension both John and Lauren seemed to conjure from the narration of Diary Of A Bad Boy. These two brought the story to vivid life and I instantly and completely got lost in this splendid audiobook. A win for sure!

The audiobook of Diary Of A Bad Boy gets a ENERGETIC FIVE SPARKLING STARS!

Drunk Girl Release Blitz with ARC Review!

Title: Drunk Girl
A Lyrics and Love Novel
Author: Samantha Lind
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 24, 2019

Blurb

NICK
Beautiful, broken, and abandoned.
The second I see her in my bar,
With cover charge stamps plastering her hands,
I know what I have to do.
Take her home,
Get her into bed,
Where I know she'll be safe.

I do exactly that.

Leaving her keys and my number,

As I lock the door behind me.

She deserves more,
So much more.

ASHLEY
Shattered, vulnerable, and alone,
Trapped in a lifetime of hurt,
Trying to break the cycle.

But he came in,
Saved me,
From myself,
From my circumstances.

Showing me compassion,
And respect.
Proving I am so much more.

More than just a pathetic drunk girl.

MY REVIEW:

A emotional romance that made me weepy, and had my heart fully engaged from the get go! Drunk Girl was a pretty amazing read if you ask me. I liked how there was so much feels and how well I seemed to connect to the heroine. And the hero was a definite one of a kind and made my heart all mushy.

This romance blew my mind with how different it was. There was undeniable sweetness and caring and plenty of sexiness that kept me all heated up too. This story was easy to follow and beautiful and oh so good. And these characters....definitely memorable!

Drunk Girl gets a UNDENIABLY SWEET FIVE SPARKLING STARS!

The moment I saw her walk through the door of Forbidden Ink, I knew she was the one. With her wide hips, thick thighs, and perfect breasts, she’s every man’s wet dream.
Add to that her dark, soulful eyes, pouty lips, and a body covered in gorgeous art, and I knew I needed to make her mine.
She’s a walking contradiction of sass and strength and determination, hidden by insecurity and self-doubt. She’s everything I could ever want or need, but she doesn’t see what I see.
I want to take away her pain. To be the one to make her laugh, to make all her dreams come true. I need to prove to her that I’m not him, that no matter what, I’ll be right there beside her. Loving her.
If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.

Excerpt

When I meet Joel Matthews, I’m in an unexpected place in life.
Divorceville.
I mean who expects that after fourteen years of marriage to your high school sweetheart.
Not me.
It hits me while celebrating my birthday with my sisters that I’m thirty-five and single. Shouldn’t I finally date someone other than my ex?
I totally deserve that, right?
After way too many lemon drop shots, I’m tricked into trying on my younger sister considerate gift as she put it. Did I mention it’s a gag gift? A “my milkshakes bring all the boys to my yard” t-shirt and velour sweatpants with “Sin-a-Buns” written across my bottom which she finds all too hilarious.
That’s how Joel finds me, too smashed to open my apartment door and when I do, I take a drunken slip and slid across the floor with my Sin-A -Buns on full display.
Joel doesn’t seem to notice. Then again, I swear I heard a chuckle. But no matter, he’s right there to make sure I’m okay as any knight in shiny armor should do.
Okay, where did that come from? Clearly, I’m not in my right frame of mine.
When I look up into his gorgeous face, I forget all the reasons why it’s a bad idea to hook-up with my twenty-something neighbor. In fact, it’s a fan-freaking-tastic idea.
(Ride that pony, girl? Did I really just think that?)
Until I wake in the morning with a delicious ache between my legs and a pounding headache. I’m mature enough not to regret it, but adult enough to realize it can’t happen again.
First—I’m too old for him. He’s in his twenties for goodness sakes.
Second— I’m single for the first time in years. Like I’ve only ever dated one guy.
Third—Shouldn’t I date multiple men before I find the one? Wasn’t that my first mistake?
Only Joel isn’t giving up.
He’s determined to prove age is just a number—
And I’m his number one.

Synopsis

Life was chaotic and unpredictable; made up of a series of events—a collection of firsts.
First crush.
First kiss.
First love.

Between the murky waters, I’d found salvation. And it was all because of him—the broody alpha who appeared at the time I needed him most.
He promised me things, and showed me the life I could have.
But all it took was one moment to destroy everything.

Nothing else mattered.
No one else mattered.
It was him and me against the world.
Until it wasn’t.

I hadn’t known just how forbidden our love was.
I hadn’t known I’d been tutoring his son.
I hadn’t known about the family he had hidden away.
I hadn’t known he was cheating—with me.

I wish I could say I wanted to take it all back, but it’d be a lie.
A blatant lie.

He was my biggest downfall, but I’d never regret it.
Choosing him was never an option, the question was whether he’d risk it all.

When she's not writing: she's a mother to two daughters who she encourages to use their imagination as she believes that it's a magical thing, or getting lost in a good book. Fall in love with the sizzling new romantic comedy - perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Christina Lauren!

Rule #1 Don’t get hit by your own arrow.

I’m a professional Cyrano - minus the honking great nose. Need a love note, raunchy sext, or apology letter so epic that your other half will forget you hesitated a beat too long when you asked, 'does this make me look fat?'? I’ve got you covered. But when my most frequent client, the annoyingly charming (or is that charmingly annoying?) Dylan Griffin comes to me with an unconventional new job, I discover that three little words can add up to one BIG complication…

Because Dylan doesn't want help seducing another swimsuit model (for once in his life). He wants my help winning over his high-school crush (aka, his one true love) - and he's prepared to make it worth my while. Throw in a summer Catskills trip that's equal parts 'Dirty Dancing' and dirty-talking, and this Cupid is soon out of her depth - and head over heels with the last man I expected. Just Love - BT banner.jpg

Just Love by Prescott Lane
Release Date: July 9, 2019

Just Love Cover.jpeg

Just Love, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by Prescott Lane.
There’s two sides to every love story. The how you fell in love, and the how you fell apart.
This is ours.
The cardinal rule of friendship is you don’t mess with your friend’s sister.
That goes double when she’s his little sister.
It was just supposed to be fun.
She wasn’t supposed to end up being the love of my life.
And I definitely wasn’t supposed to break her heart.
Ainsley is a wedding dress designer. That should’ve been a warning that she’s a hopeless romantic. That should’ve clued me in that she believes love conquers all.
But there are some things that love can’t fix. I’m one of them.
She thinks love is the answer.
But love is the reason I let her go.
A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

MY REVIEW:

A romance book worth worshiping right here! Just Love is heart squeezing, sigh worthy, dreamy romance with so many feels, it will leave you floating! Prescott Lane did things REAL GOOD with this book.

Ainsley and Rhett reached into my very being and had me falling in love right with them. Along the way, these two made me cry, laugh, and sigh. These two have a forbidden romance that you can't help but to be drawn to. The story was captivated and sweet. It. Was. Everything.

Just Love gets a REAL GOOD FIVE STUNNING STARS!

Excerpt:
I knew the kind of guy Rhett was. I knew serious wasn’t his thing. I knew using the word love usually sent him running for the hills. I knew it, and I did it anyway. But he wasn’t that guy with me. He and I were different. I know he loved me. I’ve loved that man since I was fifteen years old. How could I not? Forget the abs, the tan skin, those pale, sexy blue eyes. Forget the fact that his voice sends shivers down my spine. The first time we kissed, I felt my whole world shatter and fall into place at the same time. I tried to pretend to be “that” girl. The kind that can kiss a guy just for fun, screw a man and not imagine a life with him. I tried. I failed. The hopeless romantic in me wasn’t having it. My heart should’ve known better — but my heart was no match for Rhett Bennett. When Rhett and I fell apart, I broke up with social media. I have to say, that breakup was a lot easier. No hashtags, no emojis, no memes to post. Some people use social media as their therapist. I’ve seen people post play-by-plays of their divorce, or explain every detail of their latest illness or drama. I probably could’ve attracted a lot more followers if I chronicled the demise of our relationship. It’s the stuff of soap operas. But instead, I broke it off with Facebook, banned Instagram, and boycotted Twitter. Today, Facebook and I are having one last romp. Relationship status update: Single. That’s it. That one little change. I have to start somewhere. Skye’s right about that. The one part of being single I have embraced is the diet. The single woman diet consists of basically any breakfast food for dinner, coffee, and alcohol. I’ve gotten so good at it, I no longer need a grocery cart when I shop. Quick tip, don’t get a cart at the grocery store, only buy what you can hold. It’s good for the budget and the waistline. Unfortunately, that rule doesn’t work so well at clothing stores.
