Chapter 1
Lost in thought, Abe ran a loving hand over Ariana's swelling belly, then grinned when she stirred from sleep and blinked lazily up at him. Wrapping his mind around that – not only had she been his wife for over three months, but was also carrying his child – was too much of a dream come true, one he never wanted to wake up from.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Cambridge. It's fifteen after one."
Nuzzling closer to him, Ariana yawned and let her eyes drift shut. "Five more minutes."
He snickered against her hair and then kissed her forehead. "Take all the time you need, baby, but I have a feeling Becky and Janie will—"
Quick and persistent tapping on the chamber door cut off his words and had him rolling his eyes in irritation.
"—knock on the door soon," he finished through a clenched jaw, his mood swiftly turning sour at the lack of private time the island's residents allowed him to have with his wife. "I can kill them, you know. Nobody will find their bodies. I swear it. Did I ever tell you that I'm a shark whisperer?"
Ariana giggled as she pushed against his body, and when he tried to grab her, she threw a pillow in his face and scrambled out of bed.
He fell back to his own pillow, defeated. "We are going on vacation. No cell phones. No knocks on the door—unless it's room service—and, best of all, no distractions."
Laughing as she opened the door, Ariana greeted her friends with a hug and took the coffee Janie held out with a sigh and a gracious smile. "I love both of you so much."
Abe huffed as he glared at them. "You just saw them yesterday. And you don't need that caffeine; it's bad for the baby."
Ariana took a long sip and winced as the heat bit her tongue. "The only thing that's bad for the baby is my blood pressure going up when his or her father fusses over me too much."
Abe blanched, and started to throw back the comforter to go to her, but thought better of it once he caught sight of Becky and Janie looking at him. Unlike Ariana, he hadn't dressed after making love the night before.
He exhaled in relief as he studied the growing smirk on his wife's face. She was the only one who could, quite literally, drop him to his knees with only a few words. He kept waiting for the spell she had him under to wear off, but with each day that passed, he had only grown more mesmerized by her charm.
Abe raised an eyebrow. "Come here, devil woman."
"Abe," Becky said, laughing. "There's no time—er… take all the time you need, Your Highness," she said quickly, when his mouth flattened into a thin line and his teal eyes locked on her, daring her to say one… more… word.
He would burn that damn clinic to the ground before he would allow anyone to take even one more minute with her away from him. She already worked too many hours as it was. It had started out being only five, but then had swiftly moved up to six, then seven. He had drawn a line at eight, but, more times than not, Ariana stayed at the clinic up to ten hours, even against his wishes and constant phone calls.
He tore his piercing eyes away from Becky and they softened as he met Ariana's smile.
She set the cup down and crawled up on the mattress and into his awaiting arms. She stared into his eyes as her fingers brushed back the hair hanging over his ears, reminding him it was time for a trim. That would take all of fifteen minutes, so what would he do with the other four-hundred-sixty-five minutes she would be out of his sight?
He had some ass-chewing to do, that's what, and he was going to do that first.
"I'll be back before you know it, Abe," she said sweetly, almost convincingly, but he knew better; she'd been telling him that every day since she’d started working, and it had never, ever been true.
Even though he knew arguing would get him absolutely nowhere, he still pleaded his case. "Stay here," he whispered. "Take the day off. I could use a little healing myself." He grinned devilishly.
The only answer he got was a small smile and a long kiss. Abe wrapped his arms around her and pulled her across his body, rolling with her until she was lying on her back and he was looking down at her beautiful face.
He knew she wouldn't concede to his wishes today, but that wouldn't stop him from trying. He had faith that one day she would.
"Sunset, Ariana. Please. I have something I want to show you."
She laughed. "I just bet you do."
He tucked a strand of blond hair behind her ear and softly kissed her lips. Lingering a breath away, he spoke so only she could hear. "It's sort of important and special. It's been in the works for several years, but it's almost complete now. I didn't want to mention it until Roger said you could see it. He sent me a text last night, but you were too exhausted after work, so I didn't say anything. I don't think I can keep from telling you what it is until your next day off, so please don't overwork yourself today, and try to get out of there by eight." He paused for a moment. "And eat light for supper; I'm taking you out afterward."
Ariana's eyes narrowed to thin slits, but there was amusement in them that she couldn't hide behind her fake anger. "You know how much I hate surprises."
Abe knew she could have searched his thoughts in one instant, so he quickly rifled through his memory for the lyrics of Mary Had A Little Lamb, just in case. Mindreading was one witchy trait that could be both a blessing and a curse, but thankfully Ariana tried not to use it too often. For that, he was grateful. It was bad enough that he couldn’t keep his hands off his wife for more than five minutes. Keeping his thoughts off her would be downright impossible.
He kissed her quick and moved away, so she could get up and ready for work. The quicker she left, the quicker he could let out his aggression on someone who couldn't paralyze his vocal chords. "You'll like this one. I promise it won't embarrass you."
"Can we come?" Janie asked, the petite girl nearly jumping up and down at hearing about something new and exciting on the island.
Abe chuckled. "Yeah, you can come. Bring someone, if you like," he said, knowing that Janie had been spending quite a bit of time lately with Ryan from maintenance, and would more than likely want to bring him along. It was killing Lance to see her with the guy, but since he had been the one who let her go, there wasn't a whole hell of a lot he could do about it but mope.
"Who else is going?" Becky asked with a sneer.
Abe shrugged nonchalantly, but he knew she was inquiring whether Will, his brother, was going to be there, and possibly be with Katrista, the girl who had flown to the island on the back of a minion from Hell under the orders of Apollyon, the demon who damn near took Ariana away from him in more than one way.
Just thinking about that night made him want to wrap Ariana in the tight cocoon of his arms and never let her out of his sight, but that had been almost three months ago, and they hadn't seen or heard from the guy since his descent back into Hell. Gloria, their personal guardian angel, was checking in on a regular basis, but she hadn't sensed any evil hanging around the island, either. It was still a struggle to relax, but Abe knew how Ariana hated to be smothered, so he forced his worry from his features, for her.
"I'm not sure, Becky, but if you think I'm going to tell my brother he can't go just because you'll be there, then you don't know me very well." He ignored the hurt look in her eyes and slapped Ariana's butt when she crawled over him to get out of bed. He chuckled when she yelped.
After hearing the shower come on, he looked back to the two girls standing in the middle of his bedroom. "Would the two of you mind leaving? I'm about to go shower with my wife, and Ariana threw my boxers across the room last night."
He smiled as the two girls immediately avoided eye contact, their faces turning a bright shade of pink in embarrassment at being in the same room with their naked king.
"Go on. Ariana will call you when she's ready to leave. I can't promise you'll be on time for work, so you may want to leave without her." He stopped and huffed when they only stood there with sullen expressions. "What? She isn't yours; she's mine. Go!"
Tripping over their feet, both girls turned and ran for the door.
With a smile on his face, Abe threw back the cover and jogged to the bathroom. He could only see the top of Ariana's wet head, leaned back into the steamy shower spray, eyes closed as she basked in the warmth of the water. He tiptoed around the tiled wall that separated the shower from the rest of the bathroom, and had her in his arms before she even opened her eyes.
Ariana smiled as he touched his lips to hers, and Abe noticed that he couldn't fit his body flush to hers any longer, not with his young growing so rapidly within her womb.
He ran one hand over the soft skin of her belly and pulled her mouth to his with his other by the nape of her neck. A low moan escaped her mouth and he drank in the ecstasy like a wino who had just found a forgotten bottle of eighty-year-old wine in the cellar.
She gasped for air when he released her mouth to devour her neck and that little spot below her ear she loved for him to kiss.
"Abe," she panted. "I'm going to be late for work."
An approving growl rumbled from his chest as her hands slid down to his hips. "Damn right, you are. I told Becky and Janie to go on without you, that you would be there when you damn well got there."
She laughed against his mouth when he claimed ownership once again. "You are such a king."
Lowering his head to explore more of what she had to offer him, he looked from one tempting mound to the other, and finally decided to take the left rosy nub between his lips and softly massage the other with his hand. Decisions, decisions. It was a tough job being a man in love. He often thought he needed at least one extra mouth. Wondering vaguely whether Ariana might be able to witch it on his body, somewhere, he focused on the task in hand.
Ariana's lips parted, and he smiled when a rush of pleasurable sounds echoed off the walls of the bathroom.
With his other hand free, he ran his long fingers over the cheek of her ass, down the back of her thigh and pulled her right knee up to his hip. He wasn't worried about her getting off balance and falling. He had her. He had all of her.
His head jerked up and he crushed his mouth on hers just as he slid through the soft folds of her sex and into his most favorite place to be.
His jaw clamped shut and his hand shot out to brace them against the shower wall when her muscles tightened around his erection.
"Yeeees!" The cry escaped her throat and her nails clawed the skin on his back, but he pumped into her, keeping a steady rhythm and watching her expression as the orgasm threatened to rip through her body. "Abe…" she said, winded, and grabbed his biceps, squeezing the thick muscles and making him grin, "I—I need…"
"I know, baby. Just let it go." He jerked his hand from the wall, pulling her other leg up, and just like a pro, she hooked her ankles at the small of his back and took all of him. His knees damn near buckled.
Aiming to get his own release by the time Ariana's climax was over, Abe growled and quickened his strides. Her body quaked all around him. He was almost there. He was there.
"Take my vein," Ariana whispered.
Pulling a bit back from the rush, he blinked the water out of his eyes and looked down at her in confusion. Sure enough, her head was tilted to the side and her wet hair was moved away, baring her neck and that throbbing vein to him. He jerked his head away, trying to ignore the instant bloodlust and the anger that was quickly boiling up inside him.
"No," he said shortly.
"Abe, please. You need it. I want you to."
He stopped moving inside her and set her feet on the wet tile. Grabbing a towel from the hook on the wall, he threw it around his waist, tying it extra tight, so just maybe it would cut off the circulation in his erection and deflate the damn thing.
"Abe! Where are you going?"
"Not now, Ariana." He threw open the bathroom door and walked into the bedroom, and wasn't a bit surprised to hear she had followed.
"What did I do? I don't understand why you're acting this way. Talk to me, damn you!" she shouted when he only stood at his closet and shoved hanger after hanger to the right. Hell, he wasn't even sure what he was looking for.
He stopped and let his arm fall, but didn't turn around. "You know how I feel about using you as a meeker while you're pregnant. We've had this discussion before, Ariana. Hell, we've even fought about it a few times, but you don't seem to understand or maybe you just don't care; I don't know—"
"You think that I don't care about my child?" she said, and Abe turned around, the muscles in his jaw doing the same workout they did every time their conversation led to him feeding from her. "How can you even say that?" she snapped. "If I felt, in any way, that you taking the amount of blood from me that you need would hurt the baby, I wouldn't ask you to do it." She pointed to her chest, and fury burned throughout Abe's bones. "I know it won't hurt the baby—"
"But I don't!" he roared, causing her to flinch. He shook his head and reached into the closet, grabbing a random shirt and a pair of jeans. When he looked back at her, he was a little calmer, but not much. "I don't know what is good or what is bad for the baby, Ariana, but I can't imagine taking anything from you that the baby needs could ever be a good thing. I won't do it."
He ripped the towel away, and to his delight, either the terrycloth or his pissy mood had done the job, because Mr. Happy wasn't so happy anymore. Without wasting time going to the dresser for boxers, he just shoved one leg at a time in the jeans then buttoned and zipped the fly. After throwing the shirt over his head and pushing his arms through the armholes, Abe finally made his way to the dresser to grab socks.
"Abe," Ariana whispered, but he didn't look at her. He couldn't look at her when he was this mad, especially when it was her that he was mad at. "Abe, look at me. I have to go to work, and I don't want to leave you upset." He still didn't say anything.
Abe put his socks on and located his boots by the bar. Tying the sons of bitches wasn't going to happen with his hands shaking so badly, so he just shoved his feet in, grabbed his keys from the bar and headed for the door.
"Abe! Where are you going? The sun is out!"
"Go to work, Ariana. I'll see you later."
He jerked open the door, then slammed it shut behind him.

Scarlet's Redemption ( The Five Widows 4) by Silke Ming ARC Review

BLURB:

[Siren Allure: Erotic May-December Romantic Suspense, with M/M not including the heroes, voyeurism, light bondage, flogging, food play, HEA] The Palmer twin brothers are identical in every way except in their personalities. When socialite Scarlet Styles of the Five Widows group meets Elvin on the street, she mistakes him for Elvis, her best friend's boyfriend. Scarlet is at a very low point in her life and vulnerable. Once the case of mistaken identity is resolved, a hot and heavy romance develops between the two, but the situation makes Scarlet very uncomfortable, because she has in the past chastised her friends for dating much younger men. She is fifty-three and Elvin is twenty-nine. Her friends are not aware that Scarlet hasn't had any sexual contact since she was eighteen years old, and with Elvin, she feels free and allows all her skeletons to come tumbling out of her closet. He is tender, passionate, and romantic, but also introduces her to the darker side of sex, which she accepts without hesitation.

MY REVIEW:

I definitely liked Scarlet's Redemption more than I did the last book featuring Elvis. I think most of that has to do with the fact that Scarlet's Redemption had some seriously sexy BDSM scenes, and if you have read previous reviews of mine, you know how much I LOVE books with BDSM scenes.

Even though this story had some BDSM elements, its not the only reason why I liked this book. It was an exceptional story with wickedly fun and sexy characters and was VERY well written. I think this story had a better plot and it was a very likable romance. I also really thought it was great to see a woman who hadn't had sex in years finally get some action from a man that seemed to know exactly how to set her free. This is one of the reasons why BDSM is so freaking HOT! The way Elvin handled things with Scarlet was both admirable and beyond sexy as hell. He has no problem  showing her his slightly cocky side because it just made him more appealing especially since he never over did things and wasn't a  selfish person. I also found that Scarlet was redeemed and turned out to be a great character. I was worried at first, that I still wouldn't like her but after reading this book, I definitely think she is a sweet character that redeemed herself and its all thanks to that sexy Elvin.

Silke Ming did a splendid job with Scarlet's Redemption. I definitely think this is my new favorite in The Five Widows Series. The characters are not only likable but redeemable while the story is solid and good and the sex is SIZZLING! I give this a FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS!

Author Bio

I was born in Seattle Washington, but soon moved to a small town North of there, which is where I grew up. I’m the oldest of five children, so it was a lively household, and reading became my way to block out the noise. I am an avid reader. I love every genre, but romance and happily ever afters have always been my favorite books. I remember in middle school my biology teacher taking a Rosemary Rogers book away from me; I didn’t understand why—she was certainly teaching me aspects of biology! As I grew up, I would write stories to entertain myself and my younger siblings. I often wrote their book reports for them. My brothers were only one year apart in age. I wrote a report for the oldest his senior year, he turned it in and got a B+. The next year John turned in the same report to the same teacher and got an A-, the year after that the youngest turned it in to the same teacher and got an A. The teacher liked it better each time he read it! I’ve worked in corporate America for most of my life, where a lot of creative writing takes place (and if you don’t believe me, you really don’t know corporate America). I blogged to all my employees when I spent six weeks in India—they considered me quite the smartass. My corporate life has allowed me to live in Washington, Texas, Belgium and California. I have been with the same man for seventeen years. He was born and raised in Texas, and twelve years ago I whisked him, kicking and screaming, to Southern California. Luckily he loves me and wants to be where I am, but he’s still a Texan at heart (although he doesn’t miss Texas summers). I’m a very lucky woman who enjoys swimming, traveling, babysitting her nieces and nephews and doing lots of “research” with her husband for upcoming books. After being such a fan of romance all my life, I was reading Sophie Oak’s Bliss and Siren in the City series last year, and they weren’t coming out fast enough. I started thinking about a place up in the Northwest, and characters started spinning in my head. Then came Chance. Once he was there, he demanded to be put down on paper. I don’t really write the stories. For real, the stories just come out of my fingers onto the computer screen. Half the time I’m surprised by what ends up being typed!

Chapter One

“Tell me where you came from.” It always started this way. First the question, then the excruciating pain as the electric paddles were held against her temples. The smell of her burning flesh. Then they would take the rubber bit from her mouth and ask another question. Another question she couldn’t answer. “How many of you are there?” She prayed to all the saints her mother taught her that this time she would pass out. It was the only thing to ever stop the questions. Stop the pain. “I don’t know!” she wailed, as the bit was shoved into her mouth. She squeezed her eyes so tight she saw stars before the shocking red flames took over her very being. “Where did you come from? Where are the rest of you now?” They yanked the bit from her mouth, making her lip bleed. “Just tell me what you want me to say…” her voice didn’t sound like her own. For hours or months, she wasn’t sure how long she begged them to tell her what they wanted her to answer. The paddles were again placed on her temples. Fire exploded behind her eyes and her teeth actually tore into the rubber bit.
****
She wasn’t strapped down. She stretched and it felt wonderful, until the pins and needles started. Where was she? She wanted to see if they noticed they forgot to buckle the straps. She tried to look around. She couldn’t. She was blind. They’d blinded her, the shock therapy had blinded her. Oh God. She trembled in horror for long moments before realizing it was her eyelids, they were swollen shut. She tried to touch them to make sure it was the only thing wrong but pain seared her arm. Moving slowly to restore some circulation to her limbs, she realized she was lying on something soft. Rolling just a little so she wasn’t lying on her arm, she fell on to a hard cement floor. It hurt, it was cold, but at least she could move. Trying to stand up, she used the cot as leverage, but her legs wouldn’t support her. She crawled and bumped her head against a wall. Using it as a guide she followed it around the small room with cement walls, basically a cell. Mostly empty except for the cot and the toilet, there was a tray with something that felt and smelled like bread and cheese. She wolfed down some of the food, but there wasn’t anything to drink. Crawling over to the toilet she flushed it, then greedily drank handfuls of water. “Good to see you’re back with us Kelly.” She hadn’t heard any door open or anything else to indicate she wasn’t alone. “Who are you? What do you want from me?” Cringing at the desperate edge in her voice, she clamped her lips tight. God, how she wanted to beg for water that didn’t come from a toilet, for food, or a blanket, or to go home. “Who are we? You don’t get to ask the questions, we do. We want to know who all of you are. We know about you and the four others. You all showed up twenty years ago. Why did you come here? Where did you come from?” The woman’s voice was calm and soothing. It was like they were having a polite conversation, but Kelly knew the horror awaiting her at the woman’s command. “I told you, I don’t remember anything before waking up in Dad’s police car.” Kelly’s voice was raspy from all the screams, but at least it was even. “But Kelly, Mike Wachowski isn’t really your father now is he?” Again the woman’s speech was calm and soothing. “You appeared out of thin air twenty years ago and were adopted into his family, isn’t that right?” It wasn’t a question, and Kelly didn’t reply, but suddenly realized what was coming next. She’d forgotten. This wasn’t the first time she’d woken up in this room and drank from the toilet bowl. Doubted it was even the tenth time. It had to be the shock treatments. They were messing with her memory. She didn’t remember when she’d been kidnapped, but it had to have been well over a month, oh God, could it have been a year? She sat there, turning her head away from the direction of the voice. She waited, and then heard more people entering the cell, knowing what came next. Holding up her arms she didn’t have long to wait, they were there, grabbing and dragging her out.
****
“Noooooo-aaaahhhhh!” “Shove the bit in again. I don’t want her biting through her tongue. Hopefully this new dosage will break down the damn barrier.” Whatever chemicals they gave her burned as they made their way into her system. She moaned around the rubber bit and struggled with the restraints as the paddles were placed against her temples. Maybe they’d finally kill her and her suffering would end. First black, then white, and then the red of fire and pain. Coursing through her like molten fire, through every molecule, forcing her to lose control of her bodily functions. The colors burst in front of her, yellows, purples, pinks and blues. Ripping the head off one wildflower she pushed it against her nose and inhaled the fragrance, and then threw back her head and laughed. The sun was up and warm against her bare shoulders. Charging forward, she giggled as the flowers brushed legs, the soft grass squishy between her toes. She soared over the log in her path, and then she saw him. Noah was her best friend. She knew he wanted to be alone, but he needed her. Tiptoeing behind him, she jumped up to surprise him as he turned around. He gave her a dark look but she smiled at him and flung her arms wide, watching as his face suffused with laughter. He scooped her up and twirled her around. He was nine and she was five, but their age difference didn’t matter, they were best friends. Grabbing his silky black hair as he twirled her, she hugged his neck, and Kali was content. Nothing was better in her world than loving Noah, he belonged to her. “Don’t be sad anymore, Noah.” “I’m not sad, Kali.” “Don’t lie.” “I’m leaving with the others.” She’d known. But she didn’t want him to leave. “Kalani, you need to understand, let me show you.” He touched their foreheads together. “No, I don’t want to see.” “Open up Kali, you need to see. Let me show you.” Kali relaxed and let him share the other universe needing their help. He revealed everything. So many things didn’t make sense, but the pain and suffering was easy to comprehend, and more, she could see what it was Noah and the others were supposed to do. It was simple, they were to be themselves and just help a little. He was right, he had to go, it was important. Kali started to cry. She knew it meant she would have to leave everything she loved, her Nana, the meadow, and everything else, because there was no way Noah was leaving without her.

MY REVIEW:

I got the AMAZING opportunity to Beta read this book for Miss O' Leary, and let me tell you, after reading her fantastic Fate Harbor Series I was more then excited to beta read and review Revealed. This is COMPLETELY different then her other series. Yes, it is a romance, but instead of menage or erotic, this is more of a sci-fi or a paranormal romance. I can't decide 100% which. What I can say is this book is WAY BEYOND GOOD! I love the fact it starts out with the heroine, Kelly, being tortured. I won't really dig into why she is because that will be just giving it away. What I can say is I never had a book start like that before and that right there, had me eagerly reading the next page and the next and the next...well you get the idea. As you can read from the blurb, Kelly and Noah are part of the "Found" children from years ago. In Revealed we get glimpses of their past and why they were sent to Earth.

The characters will definitely  intrigue you as well. Kelly is a very strong and courageous woman. Even in her torture I think she is amazing. When she meets Noah, things start clicking in place and sparks fly between these two. Noah is incredibly sexy and dangerous to the enemy. He can sense Kelly especially when she is in danger and risks everything to save her. He also recognizes her as his soul mate and does everything in his power to shower her with warmth, protection, and security. The moment he takes her in his arms, his destiny becomes clearer and his body cries out for her. I also adored his fellow team members. I think they play a vital role to Kelly's rescue and are super sweet and good to Kelly from the moment they save her.

There is a TON of action, suspense, sizzling romance, and mystery that left me completely in awe of Caitlyn O' Leary. I love a book that can bring a good kind of different to a storyline and make it very difficult for a reader to stop. I personally can't wait for the second book and hope it comes REAL DARN SOON! From beginning to end Revealed will keep you glued to your ereader and at the edge of your seat holding your breath until the very last word on the very last page. It has EVERYTHING! This is precisely why I gave Revealed an ASTOUNDING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! The suspense, sizzling romance, and tender yet sexy love scenes will leave you BEGGING for the next book. A truly phenomenal read, especially as this is Miss O' Leary's FIRST indie book. JUST AMAZING!

Cherishing Brianna by Caitlyn O' Leary ARC Review

BLURB:

Brianna has chosen to live the last eight years of her life alone, hoping to prevent the inevitable. When she finally realizes how little time she has left to live a full and productive life, she stops off to visit her foster family before permanently moving to California and the care she is going to need. Both men are loving, caring and think the world of her. Brianna is horrified to realize she has deceived them. She knows the truth, she unworthy of their love.

Brianna decides to quickly leave town. Despite adamant entreaties of her family, she’s determined go before things unravel even more and she becomes a burden. Can Zac, Charlie and the family make one last ditch effort to make Brianna realize how much they want to cherish her no matter what the future might hold?

MY REVIEW:

Cherishing Brianna is a really great addition to Caitlyn O' Leary's Fate Harbor series. I am always impressed with the people of Fate Harbor. They are always so welcoming and kind to each other and I really like how they all generally care about one another. When Brianna comes racing into town, the first person to meet her is sexy sheriff, Charlie. Soon after coming back to Fate Harbor, Brianna meets the second man she will soon find herself falling in love with, Zac. He is a gorgeous British vet that makes Brianna melt with his English accent. When these three start getting together, sparks fly fast and their passion gets out of control in the BEST WAY. Unfortunately Brianna has some past issues that make it pretty hard for her to want to stick to a place very long. She claims she is only there for Olivia's wedding then she plans on moving to California and away from everyone...for good.

I loved the fact that we had a sexy Sheriff and a sexy Vet wooing Brianna. Menages have always been a favorite of mine in erotic romances. Plus, with each different personality from the men of Fate Harbor, it makes it very hard to not love this town. I can definitely tell that Miss O' Leary does her research and homework in her stories. Every detail and description from what the men and women do for a living is precise and very accurate. I REALLY like that because I don't want to feel that the story I am reading is just put together with no realism to the jobs. The only part of the story I thought was a bit odd was the surgery scene with Zac and Brianna on the dog that she brought in after it was hit by a car. I can't imagine a vet asking someone that has no experience or training, to scrub in and assist in a surgery. However the rest of the story is very accurate and very realistic with the different variety of jobs that everyone has. Another great thing I adore about this series, is how good the men are to their women. They don't get jealous of one another and their first priority is ALWAYS the woman. In the real world, not a lot of men are like that, so its always a pleasure to read a romance where the men are kind and give the women they love the pampering they deserve. Sometimes I think my hubby needs to take lessons from the men of Fate Harbor. *Wink wink*

Anyway, back to Cherishing Brianna. Zac's and Charlie's determination to keep Brianna and convince her to stay was charming and to me, sexy beyond belief. One of the things I always admire about Miss O' Leary is her way of writing a good solid story. She created Fate Harbor to be a welcoming and safe place with plenty of menage relationships. It is warm and welcoming while her characters are good people with great personalities. Cherishing Brianna got an AMAZING FOUR SHOOTING STARS from me. It has suspense, its intense, passionate, and written with its precision to detail. Caitlyn, you got another Fate Harbor winner!

The Bold and the Dominant is the third book in The Doms of her Life Series and so far, is my absolute FAVORITE. So much happens in this story. Hammer and Liam and Raine are finally getting started on their future after breaking down the walls Raine had erected for so long to keep herself from feeling vulnerable. Then  Liam's ex comes back into his life with something that brings back insecurities and threatens everything he holds dear.

I really LOVED the fact that The Bold and the Dominant started right where The Young and the Submissive ended. Drama is calling for Liam in the form of his ex-wife and he acts quickly to get to the bottom of why his ex wants to see him. He and Hammer work together to keep Raine safe from his nasty witch of an ex. Its a bumpy road that leads into trouble for all three of them but these three have something worth fighting for, love. On top of the nasty ex, another monster from the past comes back and its up to Hammer and Liam to keep their beautiful fiery submissive safe. And even though at first, they made a few mistakes, I really enjoyed seeing how quickly they realize them and do everything they can to make things right. One of my favorite things about The Bold and the Dominant is the passion. It never ceases to amaze me on how strong the passion and love is between these three characters.  I am absolutely addicted to this series and especially this book.

Another great thing about this story is seeing how well Raine came from the two previous books. She grew so much and opened up to become a very lovely submissive for Liam and Hammer. Even though she does an incredible job of going up and beyond her comfort level, she still maintained her fiery passion and she definitely showed her Doms that she will not take things calmly when she feels she has been wronged. It definitely made for some great make-up sex!

Which leads me to this, the intensely erotic sex! The BDSM in this series, is stunning, eye-opening, passionate, kinky without being icky and makes me absolutely breathless. I love how animalistic things got in some of the scenes. And the fact that Miss Jacob, Miss LaPearl, and Miss Black wrote it in such a way that instead of making me cringe it left me with some great fantasies to share with my hubby!! I also love the fact that both Hammer and Liam can get in their Dom mode, yet still take the time to care and love Raine like a man should. In every touch and sensual whisper, they cherish and protect Raine in every way a man should, that both soothes them and satisfies their inner Doms.

The Bold and the Dominant has the most amazing characters: From sweet Raine, to tough Hammer, to caring Liam, and sweet yet scary Beck, and fun Seth. We also got to see some nasty characters that will leave you cringing in disgust. And wishing you can bitch-slap the crap out of them.  It's a passionate love story with plenty of tension and a juicy plot! With how much I enjoyed this story it really isn't a surprise that I went with a FANTASTIC FOUR AND A HALF SHOOTING STARS! If you love a good story with equal measure drama, passion, and suspense, and mind blowing sex featuring our favorite trio, then step into Shadows and be prepared for a great romance!

The Bodyguard and the Dom by T.L. Reeve ARC Review

BLURB:

Thomas Kenner, owner of Kenner & Kenner Security and Teishutsu, a private BDSM club in the hills of Los Angeles, has it all, except for Katarina Lopez, submissive and one of his best damn bodyguards. As a Sadist, he craves a masochist to match his needs, but when his Latin bombshell rebuffs his advances, he’s left wanting a woman who doesn’t crave him. Determined to banish her from his thoughts, he sets up a date with the renowned Madame Eve and 1Night Stand.

Katarina Lopez doesn’t intimidate easily. When it comes to her job, she’s focused and completely sure of herself. Then she goes to work for the ex-Special Forces-Sadistic Dom, Thomas Kenner. The Dom—and her boss—is completely imposing and sex personified. But, there’s no way she’ll ever fit his masochistic mold. Letting him down would mean the end of her career along with any chance she may have to submit to the man who’d held her heart from the minute she met him. Unless….

With the help of Madame Eve, both will try to obtain what their heart desires, but will one night be enough?

MY REVIEW:

Another fantastic book by T.L. Reeve! This time Miss Reeve gives us some insight into sexy sadist, Thomas Kenner. I really liked Thomas. He is sinfully gorgeous and has the hots for the beautiful bodyguard, Katarina Lopez. The Bodyguard and the Dom is beautifully written.  I never thought I could dig a sadist. In the BDSM realm, they are the one thing that spook me the most. I am happy to say after reading this book, I am no longer so scared or anxious about sadists. In my head I always assumed a sadist enjoys dealing pain so much that there isn't a line that they won't cross. Thomas melted my fears away. I learned that being a Sadist doesn't mean your evil or cruel. They give a submissive who enjoys pain, what they need while giving themselves what they desire. I loved the precision in which Thomas delivers his pain to Katarina. He never goes overboard and every lash or strike is delivered just right to cause the right kind of pain without leaving scars. He may make marks that last a few days but nothing that would be permanent.

In The Bodyguard and the Dom, Miss Reeve shows her talent in doing research in every detail that is giving. The story is erotic and is sexy as hell! I actually enjoyed the sadism Thomas doles out to Katarina. Miss Reeve also wiped away the thought that a sadist isn't loving. The fact that her character, Thomas is a sadist that cares and loves as well as protects his sub shows how misunderstood sadists are. I thank you personally for that Miss Reeve! The Bodyguard and the Dom is similar to Cherise Sinclair's Masters of Shadowland series or Shayla Black's Wicked Lover series. It has that passion I crave and am addicted to, while the story is beautiful and touching and the sex is beyond scorching. It has realism to it and definitely showcases what BDSM is about.

With how good this story is, I couldn't imagine giving it anything less than a FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It's wickedly tempting and if you fear sadists, with The Bodyguard and the Dom, you will not only let go of your fear of sadists, but actually crave more stories featuring them as well.
