ARC Review of Crashed by Dawn Robertson

BLURB:

One Thing Emily Taylor has always longed for is a happily ever after. After a series of losses, betrayals, and a few crap-tastic dating experiences, she has settled into a simple life which includes little more than her cat, work, and a foul-mouthed best friend. Then, she meets Avery....
Avery Martin is a simple man, a country boy at heart who is working at his dream job as a fireman. When he responds to a nasty car accident, he is immediately taken with the petite blonde he finds pinned in the wreckage. Crossing professional lines, he strikes up a friendship with her.
But can they settle for friendship when their forever is staring them in the face?
Or will an ex with a vendetta drive them apart?

MY REVIEW:

Crashed I liked IMMENSLY. The first chapter caught my attention immediately with Emily Taylor dreaming of a man making love to her. It just captures right away how lonely she is and how she is still holding on to hope for her dream man.
After crashing her car, sexy fireman Avery Martin comes to the rescue and soon he finds himself drawn to Emily. Feelings continue to grow between them as they spend more time with each other. I do feel that these two fell in love with each other from the start. Which is romantic as hell for me.
This book is a steady, slow build from friendship to love. Avery is attentive and sexy, and caring while Emily is hope full, sweet, pretty, and yet a tad on the wary side.
Crashed was a well written book with likeable characters and a charming storyline. Its realistic and sexy, and totally enjoyable. Giving this book a full FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS was no hardship and I did it happily. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that has a mind to listen and enjoys steamy, contemporary romance featuring a sexy fireman.
