BLURB:
Never judge a man by his looks, even when he has tentacles.
Relion has so much more going for him. Protective. Playful. Caring. He’s become my best friend and it doesn’t even matter that we’re male and female. Or that we’re two entirely different species. I have to get married and I’m socially awkward and inexperienced and he’s going to teach me all I need to know about making a prime marriage catch.
Tera is determined to marry an Earther male. A hairy one.
She may be beautiful. Exotic. Graceful. My best friend. But the stubborn female is a bit low on intelligence. She has no idea that no male can ever measure up to her. That she's worthy and unique.
And I have no idea how hard I can fall for her.
This is the fourth book in the Matched Program Series.
The gorgeous species called Britonians had left their planet with a dying sun. They reached an agreement with Earth to clean up our ruined planet with their modern technology in exchange for a new place to live. If it were up to women, we'd allow them to live just to look at them. The Brits are amazing, gold skin, tall and muscular, like avenging angels.
When they hear that most of our men died in the third World War, leaving the sexes vastly mismatched, they offer to begin a Match Program with a distant planet in need of females. It will be completely professional, personality-matching, compatibility, and the possibility of procreation. Plus, the human females will have a guaranteed choice after six months: Remain with your alien mate, or come home to Earth.
None of us expected the gorgeous alien species to introduce us to horrifying monsters.
MY REVIEW:
One of my favorite series had a brand-new friends to lovers trope come out that I immediately couldn't wait to devour! Wanting The Monster is a sexy, fun, sizzling hot romance that was sweet and amusing and exhilarating. I couldn't believe how good this friends to lovers trope was. I'm not a huge fan of the trope like I used to be, but when you get sexy monsters involved, it can really make an exceptional difference.
Relion is a GORGEOUS tentacled hero who is friends with a human woman, Tera who thinks she wants to marry a human man. However, Relion is more than determined to prove to her that he is HER man. I honestly loved the sweet and fun banter between these two. You could sense the affection and love right away and as their relationship progressed, things went from a slow burn to an inferno in no time and made things even more delectable. Tera is a real sweetheart in my opinion. I really loved her personality and the way she moved through life. She really fit Relion and vice versa and I couldn't love these two more! This book made me love the friends to lovers trope again and I honestly can't thank Rena Marks enough for that.
Wanting The Monster gets a DELICOUSLY ENTERTAINING FIVE SCORCHING HOT STARS! I freaking LOVE these tentacled heroes!
