ARC Review of Broken Pieces by Janine Infante Bosco

BLURB:

Nick Foti left Riverdale New York, seven years ago, leaving his dreams and the only family he ever knew behind. Most of all he left the one girl that managed to completely unravel him. Samantha Lanza was his best friends little sister. She wasn't meant to be his, she was his to protect like a sister.

When he finally decided he couldn't fight his attraction to her, events unfold that force him to leave her and the only life he has ever wanted behind. Forced to work for his father in Seattle, Nick is miserable. He spends most his time in the boardroom playing the corporate mogul. The rest of the time he loses himself in a bottle and random woman that will never compare to the one he left behind.

One day Nick hits rock bottom and decides he’s had enough, he hangs up his suit and tie and sets out to reclaim the life he was meant to have. He heads back to Riverdale just when the family he has always loved as his own needs him the most. Everyone welcomes Nick with open arms, except Sam. She wants nothing to do with him. Can he convince her he’s a changed man who wants nothing more than to have her in his arms forever? Or has is the betrayal she feels too great to forgive.

MY REVIEW:

Broken Pieces is the second book in Janine Bosco's The Riverdale Series. Since I enjoyed the first book I knew I would also enjoy the second one. The one thing that I liked most was this gorgeous cover. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy a cover featuring a smoking hot man with tattoos? I wanted to lick the cover a few times...but some how I refrained. The other thing I liked about this story was the hero, Nick. He is gorgeous, fun, patient up to a point, caring, and noble which I think may be his best feature.
Samantha I wanted to smack a few times because I felt she was just a tad too bitchy. I understand she felt betrayed by Nick when he left (which of course he did to help his friends and Samantha) but I thought she should of giving him more of a second chance instead of just giving him the cold shoulder and trying to ignore him.
The one thing that really bothered me about this book was that the previous hero from Pieces lost his life in this book. I almost didn't finish it because I was utterly devastated at that point. But I honestly felt like I had to give Miss Bosco a lot of credit too because she added something to this romance that you don't see too often in other romances: Tragedy. The kind of tragedy that has to deal with real life situations, such as cancer and other diseases that won't be held back. It also let us readers know that tragedy can be found in both real life and in books and we shouldn't hide from it because tragedy is nothing more then a trial we have to go through in life.
Broken Pieces flowed together nicely with a little bit of humor, some sad moments that left me in tears, and some happy ones that left me with a smile. This story has everything, you could want. It's an emotional roller-coaster ride with plenty of steamy scenes and some tear inducing ones that will take your breath away.
I give Broken Pieces a FULL FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! This Series just gets better and better and I am already hoping for a third.

ARC Review of Jariko's Desire by Dace Everan

BLURB:

Jariko Helder is a one man man. That is until Alisha Evens starts strutting her stuff. What's a man to do? His comrade and friend has turned into a sex kitten. If she keeps this up he may give into the sick craving that has developed in the last year regarding her and spanking her eye-catching ass! What will his long-time lover Kyle think of all this? Will he lose Kyle? Will Kyle accept Alisha as their third?
Alisha may have overstepped herself. At the sight of the sexy blond hunk taking up residence in her hunky comrade’s home, her body betrays her and lusts for him. But setting her gaze on Jariko, her body responds just as passionately. Oh goodness, what has she gotten herself into?
Kyle’s dreams have come true! He knew Jariko would find her. His heart is set afire at the sight of the gorgeous woman Jariko has brought home. At the thought of the three of them becoming one.

MY REVIEW:

This is the third book in Dace Everan's Soldiers of Passion Series and definitely my favorite one so far. Miss Everan added enough humor in this book that had me laughing and giggling most of the book, especially at the beginning when Alisha was giving Jariko hell and Laird took it upon himself to knock him out and talk some sense into him. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that.
Other then humor, there is a lot of spectacular sexy and naughty moments that had me excited and were downright erotic as hell! The man on man action with Kyle and Jariko was HOT, demanding, and passionate as all get out. Add Alisha into the mix, and I found this unique and sexy triad to be PERFECT together. They all get along, have fun, and the sex is so sweaty, dirty, and delicious, my absolute FAVORITE kind of sex!
I loved all three of these amazing characters. Alisha was feisty and sexy, and she just knew the right buttons to push on Jariko to get him to snap. Jariko is hot, patient (to an extent), and dominating in all the right ways. Kyle is just as stunning as Jariko and just as demanding with sex.
After finishing this amazing story, I had no other option but to give this a SEXY FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! I love the sex, humor, characters, environment, and the MMF dynamic. I absolutely adore Dace Everan and this series!

With her life hanging in the balance, Dakota must decide whether to trust the vampire she’s already betrayed or take her chances with the cunning werewolf who has promised to help her. How far will she go to win this deadly game, and will she lose her heart in the process?

MY REVIEW:

FREAKING AWESOME PARANORMAL ROMANCE! This was the first thing that popped in my head immediately after reading Taking Chances by Suzette Cauler. Even though this was a short romance, I enjoyed EVERY single page and word of this book. I was absolutely thrown for a loop when I realized that Dakota wasn't just the normal type of shifter that turned into an animal...but the kind of shifter that can turn into just about ANYONE, human, immortal, or animal. I thought that was so cool and different that it was pretty extraordinary in my eyes.
Kane was one SEXY vampire. I liked his immediate reaction to Dakota and his need to protect her and make love to her was a powerful thing I could feel on the pages.
I got to see a little bit of humor, a lot of action, and a heck of a lot of lust and some REALLY hot sex scenes in Taking Chances. There is nothing average about this story and should definitely be read by those that love paranormal romance featuring unique shape-shifters and sexy vampires.
I gave this story a FULL FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS!! This has got to be one of my favorites in short stories. I can't wait to read more books by Suzette Cauler. It was really well thought out, unique, sexy, and just plain delicious! YUM is the word I am looking for. Go forth and get your copy at Bookstrand today!

ARC Review of Lip Service by Michelle Roth

BLURB:

For Chris Marks, his best friend's little sister, Chloe James, has always been off limits. In a moment of weakness he admits his attraction to her and Chloe seizes the opportunity to take what she's always wanted. Him.

On the heels of a break up, Chloe isn't looking to settle down. She's just looking for a good time and she suspects that she'll be able to find that with Chris. Together they explore her submissive side and she discovers that they've got more in common than she ever thought possible.

He gets far more than he bargained for though, when he starts to have real, deep feelings for Chloe. Will Chloe be able to break through the thick walls that Chris has built around his heart? Will he be brave enough to let her in?

MY REVIEW:
Lip Service was one captivating, sexy, erotic ride that I enjoyed every step of the way. It was a interesting combination of sweet and erotic that whetted my appetite and made me think of cool sheets and my favorite wine. To say I liked this story is putting it lightly but there you have it. I LIKED it a WHOLE lot!

The characters Chris and Chloe were downright sexy and sassy and I loved reading about these two love birds and their erotic encounters. I liked the simple beginning where Chloe and Chris are meeting at Chloe's brother's place for the traditional sports game and right away I could feel the beginning of sparks start between them. This increase with each new encounter and soon sparks are flying, and passion roaring, and the sex turns from sweet, to sultry and sexy with just enough kink to keep me sighing and squirming right where I sat. Who wouldn't like this kind of goodness?

From start to finish I felt this story progressed well and was written quite nicely. I honestly can say, there isn't really anything I disliked about this story. It came together perfectly and the sex scenes were spicy, and the romance rich.

With everything said, I give Lip Service a FINE FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its so worth checking out Michelle Roth and her Private Relations Series. I honestly believe this type of story will appeal to readers who love their romance with a little bit of kink and a whole lot of sexiness. You can find this book along with Michelle Roth's first Private Relations story, Just A Taste at Bookstrand today!

ARC Review of Alchemy by Serena Fairfax

BLURB:

Set in sun-drenched Lake Garda where churchmouse Tamsin Heriot, an English rose, pairs off with sexy, privileged Luca Leopoldo who’s half Italian half Somali. But Luca isn’t what he seems…
Orphaned, aged seven, when his childhood in Mogadishu is brutally destroyed, Luca is left emotionally broken. Ragged and starving he seeks refuge in Italy where kindly aristocrats adopt him.

Ever since she was fifteen, Tamsin has had a crush on Luca and the summer before she goes to university, she’s determined to lose her virginity to him.

It’s eight years before their trajectories re-converge. Tamsin, still lusting after Luca, receives devastating news that triggers her return to the dilapidated family casa when an unexpected bond develops between her and Luca’s widowed, adoptive mother.
A will alters what starts as a dalliance and there’s no shortcut to love, everything to lose, as the relationship between two wounded people, Luca and Tamsin, is pushed to breaking point.

MY REVIEW:

I found the beginning of Alchemy to be a bit drawn out but at the same time I really enjoyed the enthusiasm and determination of the female lead, Tamsin.
The story had an almost old world charm to this romance with the wording and characters that was quite enjoyable. I really liked Luca and Tamsin. I loved the names. I found them to be really unique and had almost a pretty quality to them. They aren't names you would find often and that just added more to pretty much everything.
I fell in love with Luca. He is good looking, charming, and just oozed sex. I loved the description of him and I could picture him perfectly and let me tell you, my imagination came up with one SMOKING HOT MALE!
Tamsin was a very likable character too. She is smart, determined, sexy, and just plain interesting. I liked how strong willed she was too. There is nothing better then a strong heroine in my eyes.
Although I did enjoy Alchemy, I will honestly say that some of the wording and context threw me a bit at the beginning. Once things picked up, the story flowed quite nicely and was totally worth reading.
I give Alchemy a THREE AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its charming, sexy, cultured, with an old world  charm that will leave readers satisfied.

ARC Review of Sweet Serendipity by Kelsie Belle

BLURB:

Running from a past that threatens to haunt her for the rest of her life, Rayne Carrington finds herself in Eden’s Ridge by chance. She promptly makes the tiny, serene town her home and finally finds some semblance of peace. Six months later, she encounters a dangerously alluring stranger, who turns her world upside down with his mere presence. Soon she is caught in a web of temptation that is too overpowering to deny. But how does she handle a man who is hell-bent on resisting her at all costs?
Christian Stockwell returned to his hometown of Eden’s Ridge, to find a beautiful stranger living under his roof. He is instantly bewitched by her loveliness but he knows that he cannot allow himself to have her. He struggles to rein in the lust he feels for her but how long will he be able to resist such sweetness? It won’t be long before he must surrender to sweet serendipity.

MY REVIEW:
Sweet Serendipity was a really great romance. I absolutely LOVED how Rayne and Christian first met. Things were confusing between them as they each thought the other was trespassing. I just couldn't help but to giggle a bit at the confusion and yet I sighed with the fact that a very good looking, almost dangerous looking man, found a gorgeous practically naked woman in his home and in his shower. I felt that instant connection and passion these two had from the get go and couldn't be more pleased with how things fell in place with these two characters.
Christian was a wonderful hero for Rayne. I loved his slight arrogance, his manliness (those eyes, mmm and that chest). He just seemed to ooze sex and sin.
Now Rayne is one heroine that I really LOVED. She is gorgeous, tough, strong willed, with that fiery attitude I believe ALL good heroines should have. When you put these two characters together, their passions soar, and the pages seemed to simmer with heat. Miss Belle sure knew what she was doing by naming this book Sweet Serendipity. Everything was succulent and sweet, yet the passion and lust was intoxicating and hard to resist.
With all that said, I give Sweet Serendipity a SWEET FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! This book was sweet, sexy, sigh worthy, with a well written plot, a bit of humor and a beautiful cover.

ARC Review for My Demon's Destiny Volume 3 by Nikita Jakz and Alicia Dawn

BLURB:

Just when Sera and Cole though
t they were finally on the home stretch, their happily-ever-after just within reach, an unforeseen obstacle rears its ugly fangs. Each blindsided with their own brand of torture, they’re forced to discover what they’re truly made of. With new factions emerging, complicating their already problematic circumstances, heartbreaking sacrifices and startling revelations are made, even as intense confrontations hike the tension higher. As they battle for each other, and their very immortal lives, the conclusion to their love story becomes one of legends.

MY REVIEW:

I sure will miss the adventures of Sera and Cole. This is one series that left me VERY satisfied and just wishing it could go on and on. I LOVED the romance between Cole and Sera and the surprises in each new book kept me enthralled to the very last page.
In My Demon's Destiny Volume Three, we get to start things pretty much where everything left off in the second book, and right away, trouble immediately finds Cole and Sera. I love the protectiveness both Sera and Cole have for each other. Their love is obvious and there for all to see and they have no problem dealing with each others enemies to keep each other safe and sound.
We get to meet Cole's family in this as well as finally understand the full impact that is Cole. I have always found myself immensely intrigued with Cole as well as find him  incredibly sexy and downright possessive of his angel, Sera.
Sera is one angel you don't want to mess with, especially when your messing with HER demon. I love the powers she possess and the fact that she tries not use them unless their in some dire circumstance.
Oh my, this story kept me up and biting my fingernails until the very last word on the very last page. I am amazed with the writing and quite happy with how things began and ended with My Demon's Destiny Volume 3.
I give this romance, a FULL FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS! Its intense, addicting, sexy, and just plain GOOD. I sincerely hope to see more work from Alicia Nikita and Dawn Jakz. I really believe that this Series is a W-I-N-N-E-R.
