Netgalley e-ARC Review - Claimed (Lair Of The Wolven, #1) by J.R. Ward!

Claimed, the all-new addictive paranormal romance from #1 New York Times bestselling author J.R. Ward, coming July 27th!

A heart-pounding new series set in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world, with a scientist fighting to save the timber wolves—and getting caught in a deadly trap herself...

Lydia Susi is passionate about protecting wolves in their natural habitat. When a hotel chain develops a tract of land next to the preserve, Lydia is one of the most vocal opponents of the project—and becomes a target.

One night, a shadowy figure threatens Lydia’s life in the forest, and a new hire at the Wolf Study Project comes from out of nowhere to save her. Daniel Joseph is both mysterious, and someone she intrinsically wants to trust. But is he hiding something?

As the stakes get higher, and one of Lydia’s colleagues is murdered, she must decide how far she will go to protect the wolves. Then a shocking revelation about Daniel challenges Lydia’s reality in ways she could never have predicted. Some fates demand courage, others require even more, with no guarantees. Is she destined to have true love... or will a soul-shattering loss ruin her forever?

MY REVIEW:

Less than a moment after finishing, what I know now will be my new addiction, my must have drug and will be a epic series, I am writing this review. Claimed was a jaw-dropping, mysterious, and amazing story that left me with a whole lot of feels!

Claimed is so much more than an epic story. Its a priceless work of fiction that I couldn't stop thinking about even when I tried putting it down to give myself a break and to make it last. There were complete moments of awe and surprise and a one particular scene that I didn't see coming and that left my mind blown! I won't get into any detail because I want everyone to pick this book up and get as excited and surprised with it as I did. I will however say, this story is connected to some of our favorite characters that I can't wait to find out what happens next. Lydia is something special. A heroine who is in a category all her own. She is fiercely protective of her wolves and just seems to enthrall everyone she meets, including us readers. I loved her right away and Danielle is the kind of hero that you don't see coming right away. He turned out to be one of my favorite heroes and I am hoping for the very best with him in future books. Fans of BDB will no doubt fall head over heels for The Lair Of The Wolven!

Claimed gets a MIND BLOWING FIVE HOLY CRAP DID THAT JUST HAPPEN STARS! Its my new favorite series and it just started! WOW!

ARC Review - Don't Play With Odin (Trouble For Hire #2) by Cynthia Eden!

Don't Play With Odin (Trouble For Hire #2)

BLURB:

Big, bad, and currently out of his element...

Odin Shaw thought he’d spend his life on a battlefield. But fate had other plans, and now the ex-Special Forces operative has just landed a new job at his best friend’s PI office. It’s one hell of a life change, and the giant “Viking” is trying to adjust, fast, but then she walks into his life.

Delicate, beautiful, and hunting a killer…

Maisey Bright has been following the news. She knows that the small PI firm just helped track a killer and get the perp locked away—so Maisey figures that the towering man sitting behind the massive desk will be perfect solution for her current predicament. The cops don’t believe her story, so Maisey has no choice. She wants to hire Odin. The job in question? Well, she needs him to help her find proof—irrefutable evidence—that her next-door neighbor is a serial killer.

The gorgeous ones are always a little bit crazy…

Odin figures the case will be a snap. He’ll prove that Maisey’s neighbor is most definitely not a serial killer. He’ll do it in record time, and he’ll score some extra cash for the PI firm. Maybe he’ll even score some points with the lovely—but obviously way too crime-enthusiast-obsessed—Maisey. Piece of cake.

It’s not a piece of cake. It’s a freaking nightmare.

When Odin steps into Maisey’s world, things seem off from the very beginning. Her neighbor is suspicious as hell, and when Maisey is nearly kidnapped after leaving her job, Odin realizes there is much more to the case than meets the eye. A whole lot more. He moves into Maisey’s place to protect her—and to keep an eye on her neighbor. But the close proximity to the maddening Maisey stirs a fierce desire inside of Odin. Maisey is smart, off-beat, sexy…and when he kisses her, Odin is a goner.

But first, the killer…

Odin and Maisey set off to uncover the truth about her neighbor, and as they dig deeper into the disappearances that have plagued the town for the last year, Odin begins to suspect that Maisey may be dead right. He also realizes that he is falling for a woman who now seems be the target of a killer. Looks like it might be time for Odin to go to battle once more. Because there is no way—no way—that anyone will hurt Maisey.

Author’s Note: Calling all true-crime enthusiasts! Maisey is your girl. She spends her nights listening to podcasts and sleuthing, but when she suspects that a killer is living next door, Maisey knows that she needs a professional partner…so Odin Shaw enters the picture. Odin has muscles for days, and he doesn’t even blink when he faces danger. He’s just the PI that she wants. Danger, romance, twists—time for their story to begin.

MY REVIEW:

A super fun, sexy and suspenseful romp in Cynthia Eden's second Trouble For Hire novel! Odin is the big, sexy, gruff, don't-always-say-the-right-thing-or-is-even-real-talkative hero that will make a reader drop her panties and pant while Maisey is the kind of heroine any girl would love to have as a best friend. She is smart, sweet, bold and awesome and I thought she really was a terrific fit for Odin.

I was so very happy with Don't Play With Odin. The book had a lot of humor, smoking hot chemistry and a plot that keeps you flipping the pages to the very end. There is danger, hot sex, good friends and a mystery that needs to be solved. I LOVED IT and honestly, it had me craving more. The book flowed so perfectly and I really liked that there was a lot of action and sexy times, but moments that made me laugh out loud. This new series is turning out to be a real treat!

Don't Play With Odin gets a SMOKING HOT FIVE AMAZING AND IS NOTHING SHORT OF A GOOD TIME STARS! I am officially ready for MORE!

ARC Review - Blades Of Arris: Sithe by Starla Night!

Sithe (Blades of Arris Book 1) by [Starla Night]

BLURB:

It’s a routine mission. Hunt down the ones who dared – dared – steal our sacred procreation metal from us, the rulers of the empire.
The Arrisans conquered Earth in a day. They smashed into our helpless planet like a wrecking ball, and overnight, everything changed.
That’s what our history books say.
The truth is, I’ve never seen an Arrisan face-to-face. But when my lone medical ship is attacked by ruthless pirates, the nightmare that hunts them down is no hero. Cloaked in assassin’s gray, metal scythes fused to his wrist-bones, he is the grim reaper of the conquerors. The Arrisan elite special forces. A blade.
Luckily for me, he’s in a good mood now that he’s the last man standing in the blood-soaked ruins of my bridge, so he lets me live. After all, I’m just a lesser. Clearly I’m no threat.
Until his body starts reacting to mine…
*** From the author of the Lords of Atlantis and Onyx Dragons comes a dazzling new series full of unique alien shifters, fierce passion, and loyal warriors who find their fated mates in the stars. Each full-length book is a complete romance with an epic happily-ever-after. Claim your conqueror today!

MY REVIEW:

The Blades of Arris series had me excited right from the get go but also leery since it was different than the dragon and sea lords series I have read before. Starla Night honestly surprised me with her first book in this new series in a VERY great way.

Sithe was better and sexier and way more interesting and sizzling than I would of expected. The world was out of this galaxy magical and completely unique and different from anything else sci-fi I have read in years. Sithe drew me in with his cold like feelings at the beginning and watching him unravel and become warmer and quite a hero was really extraordinary. Catarine had a illness that, I won't lie, had me leery and stunned me a bit at first. But as I continued things became more clear and I actually enjoyed the hell out of the book and am actually glad it wasn't different. Sithe and Catarine had a connection that I adored. This story is incredible and Starla Night created a new world and characters that are irresistible, unique and totally awesome and I am already eager to get my hands on book two! This is a story I can't wait to dig into again and again!

Blades of Arris: Sithe gets a GALACTICALLY AMAZING FIVE OUT OF THIS WORLD STARS! This new series shouldn't be missed in any way.

ARC Review - Bound (Blood Brothers #1) by Samantha Wilde!

BLURB:

One of the most dangerous men in the country just became her only ally.

Investigative journalist Lexi Ivanov needs one thing to crack the most important case of her career: the top-secret ledger belonging to Lionsgate Kinship—the organization that murdered her family. And it’s in the possession of Nash Holmes, the elite brotherhood’s deadly enforcer. Fighting her attraction to the monster who helped take everything from her, she drugs Nash before their romp in the bedroom goes too far. And then, with the ledger in hand, she runs.

Having a woman drug and steal from him is the ultimate shame. Nash fell for the sexy seductress’s trick and now he has to pay the price. Asking for forgiveness from his adoptive father, who is also the brotherhood’s Grand Chancellor, is even more humiliating. But he’s given a mission that will allow him to redeem himself and stop the lying vixen from selling their secrets to the media: he must kill her.

Following Lexi’s twisted escape route, Nash finally locates her. Only he soon learns she has something much greater than what he’s after, and not just a smokin’ body—information so dark and deadly that he’s forced to investigate. If she’s telling the truth, everything he’s ever known has been a scam, and he’s aided the world’s most heinous criminals.

ARC Review - The Effing List (Masters of the Shadowlands #14) by Cherise Sinclair!

The Effing List (Masters of the Shadowlands, #14)

BLURB:

Let’s liven up our marriage. It’ll be fun.
Then her husband brought two slaves into the house. That was the end of that. Divorce achieved, Valerie is working on her goals. Friends: has a new one. Fitness: little muscles! Finances: in the black.

Friskiness? Total. Effing. Fail.
So she attends the notorious Shadowlands club’s open house. There, a sadistic Dom—a fellow professor--teaches her that she loves pain with her pleasure. He wants to show her more.

Despite the razor edges of his hard face and the authority in his every word, he’s careful and caring. He listens, and how tempting is that?

But she knows better. Her heart is off limits.

Retired Special Forces colonel, Ghost has been a widower for long enough.
Although he’s ready to love again, the generous, caring woman he desires has scars from her past. However, he has hard-won skills, enough to show Valerie there can be a new F on her list—fulfillment. Life looks good.

Until his past surfaces, shattering his new life and the love he’d hoped to win.

MY REVIEW:

The very moment I started reading I forgot where I was, who I was and even to breath! The Effing List was THAT exhilarating!

I love reading about the Shadowlands masters and mistresses and their very playful and honest subs! And in The Effing List we get to read about Ghost, a sexy, caring and protective sadist and his equally as caring and kind and amazing sub Valerie. I never thought there would be a day where I would enjoy and want MORE of sadists and masochists but my goodness, after reading Linda and Sam's story a few years back and now Ghost and Valerie's story, I can honestly say reading about a sexy sadist and how they take care of their subs in play and outside of play turned me into mush and had me craving so much more. Now Ghost was a pretty unforgettable hero. He is oh so sexy, charming, and he pays oh so good attention to every nuance and detail of Valerie during play. I loved his sadistic side and found myself quite enraptured over his techniques as a sadist and a professor. And Valerie was like a ray of sunshine. She was beautiful, kind and cared about everyone around her. She oozed peace. Her submission was equally as breathtaking and I found her desire to explore pain to be pretty fascinating. And the scenes between Ghost and her was enticing, hot as hell and extremely satisfying.

And I feel we got a bonus in this book with another couple too. Which made me soooooo happy. I won't say who the other couple is because I want you all to read this and find out and be just as happy with it as I was. More than the sexy play and hot sex, this book held so much heart and compassion. I really felt like I finally understood what the Shadowlands means. This is more than a community. Being part of the Shadowlands is being with family. Its so beautiful and amazing and really melted my heart and had me yearning to join the club! I HIGHLY recommend. LIKE TOP OF MY LIST RECOMMEND!

The Effing List gets a FIVE TEASING AND BREATHTAKING STARS! This is officially my new favorite Shadowlands story!

ARC Review No Escape From War (Trouble For Hire #1) by Cynthia Eden!

No Escape From War (Trouble For Hire Book 1)

BLURB:

Revenge. Oh, it was going to be sweet.

Warren “War” Channing finally has the chance to nail his beautiful, lying ex. And, no, he doesn’t mean “nail” in the down and dirty sexual way…War means he has the opportunity to send the lovely and infuriating Rose Shadow to jail. Turned out, the woman who had shattered his heart beneath her high heeled shoes was wanted for murder. She was on the run, and he was just the man to hunt her down and toss her into the nearest cell…War could hardly wait.

He was the last man she expected to need.

The breakup had been ugly. Painful. It had ripped out her heart and left her in a sad, crying heap as she ate her ice cream, but Rose had moved the hell on, and she had sworn to never, ever need War again. Except, well, now she did need him and his sneaky skills because Rose was in trouble up to her eyes. The kind of trouble that could wreck a woman’s life.

He’ll make her pay.

Rose has cracked the story of a lifetime. She’s uncovered a brutal serial killer who has been hiding in the shadows—only now, she is his next target. The cops think she’s involved in the string of murders because maybe her DNA had been at a crime scene and maybe she’d been spotted by witnesses at another location, but Rose is a reporter—she’d been at the scenes because she was tracking down the real killer. Now, though, because War has caught her, Rose is out of time and options. War is former special ops. He’s the best PI in town. And he’s the man who gave her more pleasure than should be legal…Too bad that he’s also the man who hates her the most.

Forty-eight hours…then jail.

They make a grudging deal—she’ll pay him anything he wants if he just gives her forty-eight hours before he turns her over to the cops. During that forty-eight hours, he will help her track the real killer. When the clock runs down, she’ll be out of his life for good. Except…a whole lot can change for two people in forty-eight hours. Hate can turn into desire. Need can rage out of control. And a love that you thought was long dead? It just might flash to life again.

Provided, of course, that the murderer hunting Rose doesn’t manage to kill her before she and War can catch him. Forty-eight hours. The countdown starts now…

Author’s note: The “Trouble For Hire” romance series features hot, former military heroes…and these guys truly are the best kind of trouble. All of the books are stand-alones with guaranteed happy endings. Danger, romance, action, suspense, humor…oh, it’s definitely time to find some trouble…

MY REVIEW:

Finished No Escape From War by Cynthia Eden WAAAAAAAY too fast and LOVED every action packed, sexy, thrilling and fun ride of this brand new series! This book was one I found myself not wanting to put down even for a second. It was amusing at times, and so sexy at others, I found myself breathless and squirming in my seat.

War and Rose have this undeniable, irresistible chemistry that you can feel the tension between them from the moment the two got together. War is tough, sexy and goes after what he wants with a stubbornness and determination that is beyond hot while Rose's dedication to catching the serial killer who is hot on her heels admirable and I easily could picture her being the kind of person that I would love to have in my corner as a friend. She is smart and sweet and gorgeous and is really the perfect match for someone like War. This book was full to bursting with pulse pounding action, danger and suspense as well as romance so steamy, you can feel the heat straight off the pages. It was also a lot of fun and kind of reminded me a bit of the romantic comedy Bounty Hunter. I found myself giggling and grinning more than once. I loved it! I can't wait to read about Odin's HEA too in the next book, Playing With Odin. I am seriously addicted to this new Trouble For Hire series and want ALL the books!

No Escape From War gets a DELICIOUSLY ENTERTAINING FIVE PULSE POUNDING STARS!

ARC Review - The Silencer by RC Boldt!

 The Silencer

BLURB:

USA Today bestselling author RC Boldt brings us an unforgettable tale of betrayal, vengeance, and redemption in her new romantic thriller, THE SILENCER...

No one wants to admit that sometimes only evil can extinguish other evil.

Each time I drain the life from their bodies, I inch closer to purging my past.

Then a by-the-book FBI agent—one as astute as he is handsome—threatens my plans...and what’s left of my heart.

He doesn’t believe there are exceptions to breaking the law. That’s where we differ.

They once silenced me and countless others, but now I’ve reversed our roles.

Because, this time, it’s my turn to be the silencer.

————————————————————
**The Silencer is a dark and gritty romantic suspense that deals with sensitive topics which may not be suitable for all readers.

MY REVIEW:

First off, I am still recovering from this whopper of a story. And second, I want you all to know right now, the heroine sticks out to me the strongest in this particular story than the hero. This is a heavy story everyone with some serious heavy subject content but I am telling you all, this book is worth reading and is worth EVERY single star this book gets!

As I was reading The Silencer, I kept thinking the heroine reminded me of Dexter. And I LOVED Dexter! Kennedy is the most BAD A** heroine EVER! Hands down. What she went through and what she grew up doing made me be in awe of her. She is fierce and beautiful, like an avenging angel. Landon is a charming hero and is just as fierce in his desire to put a stop to these bad guys, even if his brand is much nicer than they deserve. And you can feel the way Landon and Kennedy connect. Its like a roaring fire that consumes them but instead of burning out of control, it  settles to a gentle flame that warms the heart. I so enjoyed their connection and passion.

The Silencer is a hard subject book that will tear your heart to shreds and blow your mind and aim to seek your own brand of vengeance on these types of bad guys. I freaking loved how powerful and ALL consuming this story was. I don't usually ever read these types of stories because this type of subject is so difficult to hear about. But honestly, Kennedy is what made this book and the difficult subject ok to deal with. Her strength and what she does not only give herself some relief, but it also helps others that were tormented by these bad guys too. I am seriously crushing on this heroine and I don't think any book can compare to this amazing, powerful, YOU'LL NEED TISSUES AND A STRONG DRINK story that left me hung over for DAYS! I haven't read ANYTHING like this and I doubt anyone else could write this type of story with the difficult subject in a way that would draw readers and have them feeling like they just read something that blew them away and caused such a ruckus with their emotions. That is why I am thrilled to say, this book is getting a TEN EMOTIONALLY CHARGED, TOTALLY CRUSHING ON THE HEROINE STARS! This story is AMAZING!!
