ARC Review - Basket Stuffer by Penny Wylder!

BLURB:

After I catch my ex-husband cheating, I just want to press the reset button on my entire life. If that means I've got to suffer for a few months under the controlling thumb of my family while I get my affairs in order, so be it.
I thought I'd planned for everything.
Then I meet a hot, single dad who loves making me squirm. Loves tempting me to break all the rules. LOVES making me risk my shiny, almost-okay-life.
And when fate shoves us together on an Easter Sunday...
Let's just say what we end up doing involves a whole lot of sin.

MY REVIEW:

HOT AND STEAMY PERFECTION AND ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE FOR EASTER! Penny Wylder did a splendid job with this fast paced, spicy insta-everything goodness! Passionate, cute, and full of HOOOOOT AND SINFUL scenes and one amazing hero and a sweet heroine.

Once I started on this I could NOT put it down! I read this in one sitting and enjoyed EVERY. DELICIOUS. SECOND. The story was fast paced but delightful and the plot drew me in right away and it was completely engaging. This is a quick read and one that caused me to be hot and bothered and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Kiss Me Tonight Cover Reveal!

I had it all.
The Super Bowl rings.
The hot shot TV gig.

Then I got fired.

Now I’m living in middle-of-nowhere Maine, playing assistant coach to the woman of my nightmares.

Did I mention that she and her son are my new neighbors?

If you talk to the locals, they’ll tell you Aspen Levi is the queen of high school football.
But if you ask me, my new head coach is a pain in my left nut sac.

She’s too blonde.
Too peppy.
And way too sexy for my peace of mind.

Only, one minute we’re fighting, and the next I can’t keep my hands off her. One hot kiss. One forbidden touch. I don’t do love but . . .

What I want, I take, and what I want is Aspen Levi.

Maria Luis is the author of sexy contemporary romances, though she may or may not have a few historical romances hiding in the cobwebs of her computer.
When she's not writing about strong men and the sassy women who sweep them off their feet, Maria is a historian who specializes in medieval England and 19th century New Orleans. What do the two eras have in common, you ask? Not much, except for disease, scandalous activities and crime--Maria's favorite topics.
Maria lives in New Orleans with her better half, where she can generally be found hiking with her two dogs, Zeus and Athena, kayaking in Louisiana's inter-coastal waterways, or curled up on the couch with a good book.

It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face.
But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past. Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? And can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own?
From the heart of London through wild, rural Cornwall to the bleak, forbidding beauty of the Balkans, The Mister is a roller-coaster ride of danger and desire that leaves the reader breathless to the very last page.

ARC Review - Loving Disaster by Alex L Michaels!

BLURB:

When Aster Persephone Ainsley-Drummond set out to find Professor Bartholomew H. Pemberton, her mission was to recruit, hire or otherwise convince the mysterious archeologist to help her reach the elusive, mythical place called El Mourat.
When Hunter Pemberton woke up from a drunken stupor, his mission was to avoid, ignore, kill or kiss the stunning redhead who appeared out of nowhere with a delusional plan that would get them robbed, killed or both.
But another day, another dollar, and soon the world’s unlikeliest pair will find themselves on a mission to solve the riddle of an ancient map, discover just how many times things can go wrong in a row and maybe stop arguing long enough to realize how crazy about each other they actually are.
One thing’s for sure… in this story, lessons will be learned.
A shy, awkward librarian may find out that sometimes Professors don’t look like Professors… at all.
And a hunky Professor may find out it’s better not to contradict, provoke or lose your heart to someone called Aster the Disaster.

Note from the author:
Loving Disaster is the third book in the series Bookworms & Alphas!
Each book is standalone and can be read separately, although it's recommended that the books are read in chronological reading order.

Meet Bookworms & Alphas!
Where men like to give orders, but women don't like to listen.

MY REVIEW:

The most delightful and engaging book yet in this series, I was surprised how fast I got through it because I had a heck of a time putting it down. Fun, witty, crackling with heat filled tension, this story had a strong irresistible pull that was hard to resist.

I fell head over heels for Hunter and Aster. Their first encounter wasn't the best but for me, it sure made for a entertaining time. I found their chemistry to be quite delectable. I found myself getting butterflies as they worked together and enjoyed the banter and wit. This was a fun, steamy good time and one I highly recommend.

Loving Disaster gets a FUN, ENTERTAINING FILLED FIVE SMOLDERING STARS!

ARC Review - Rescuing Macie by Susan Stoker!

BLURB:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Susan Stoker comes a new story in her Delta Force Heroes series…

After years of estrangement, Mercedes Laughlin has finally reconciled with her older brother. It should be the happiest time of her life, getting to know Truck and his new wife…and it would be, if an ex wasn’t causing her trouble. Add in Truck’s boss, Colonel Colton Robinson, an amazingly distracting man whom she met under embarrassing circumstances, and Macie’s got a bit more on her plate than she can handle.

From the moment they met, Colt was fascinated by Macie, and helping her through an anxiety attack at her brother’s wedding didn’t diminish the appeal. He’d do his best to sweep her off her feet, if not for a little voice telling him to tread lightly—until a frantic phone call changes the plan. Macie’s being targeted, and Colt’s determined to keep her safe while he and her brother eliminate the threat.

Colt isn’t about to let his friend lose his sister again so soon…or miss his own chance at a happy ending with Macie before they’ve barely had a beginning.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

MY REVIEW:

Susan Stoker hit it out of the park with Rescuing Macie! Susan Stoker did a FANTASTIC job with Macie and what it was like for her with anxiety. As someone who personally deals with anxiety, I felt a instant connection with Macie. She felt real to me and her symptoms of anxiety felt realistic and how she deals with it felt just as real. It was incredible and refreshing.

The story was engaging and original and very special to me. I loved Colt and his sweet and protective ways and how he shows Macie the perfect amount of caring and attention. Macie was a very likable heroine. Smart, beautiful, caring and my kind of person. Her thoughts and feelings were so much like my own when it comes to friends and people in general. There was also the right amount of suspense and danger that kept my heart a-thumping.

Rescuing Macie is a brilliant and heart melting read and it definitely deserves a SOARING FIVE AMAZING STARS!

ARC Review - Illogical by LJ Vickery!

MY REVIEW:

Lahar needs to grab Mary Margaret’s interest immediately. Her life is in danger. But how to get around the fact she has friends, family, and an interior decorating business of her own? Will she give all that up to become his goddess? Instantly smitten with MM’s drive and creativity, he quickly invents a non-existent house for her to renovate. But he better come up with a real property, fast, or she’ll call him out for a liar before he gets her to fall for him. A tall order for a god who’s more comfortable behind a computer…or chewing grass in a field.
Mary Margaret Tankler has been cossetted, pampered and…sigh…held back by her loving but overly protective parents. Her self-made design company is a last ditch effort to break free and lead an independent life. When Lahar Morton, a man whose hotness will surely keep her awake at night, asks her to renovate his ocean-front property, she knows it’s the project that will make or break her career. That’s if she can maintain a professional demeanor, and keep herself from falling for the gorgeous, enigmatic man.

MY REVIEW:

Another satisfying read in LJ Vickery's Immortals series that had me completely smitten! Illogical smolders with heat and contains some seriously sigh and heart melting romance while the action and suspense had me on such a strong adrenaline high. It was both powerful and seductive.

Illogical was indeed a captivating read with one engaging storyline and more of these fascinating and wonderful characters. The story was intense and steamy. It was precisely what I have been craving!

Illogical gets a SATISFYING AND SEDUCTIVE FIVE BIG BRIGHT STARS!
