Author Bio
I was born in Seattle Washington, but soon moved to a small town North of there, which is where I grew up. I’m the oldest of five children, so it was a lively household, and reading became my way to block out the noise. I am an avid reader. I love every genre, but romance and happily ever afters have always been my favorite books. I remember in middle school my biology teacher taking a Rosemary Rogers book away from me; I didn't understand why—she was certainly teaching me aspects of biology! As I grew up, I would write stories to entertain myself and my younger siblings. I often wrote their book reports for them. My brothers were only one year apart in age. I wrote a report for the oldest his senior year, he turned it in and got a B+. The next year John turned in the same report to the same teacher and got an A-, the year after that the youngest turned it in to the same teacher and got an A. The teacher liked it better each time he read it! I’ve worked in corporate America for most of my life, where a lot of creative writing takes place (and if you don’t believe me, you really don’t know corporate America). I blogged to all my employees when I spent six weeks in India—they considered me quite the smartass. My corporate life has allowed me to live in Washington, Texas, Belgium and California. I have been with the same man for seventeen years. He was born and raised in Texas, and twelve years ago I whisked him, kicking and screaming, to Southern California. Luckily he loves me and wants to be where I am, but he’s still a Texan at heart (although he doesn’t miss Texas summers). I’m a very lucky woman who enjoys swimming, traveling, babysitting her nieces and nephews and doing lots of “research” with her husband for upcoming books. After being such a fan of romance all my life, I was reading Sophie Oak’s Bliss and Siren in the City series last year, and they weren’t coming out fast enough. I started thinking about a place up in the Northwest, and characters started spinning in my head. Then came Chance. Once he was there, he demanded to be put down on paper. I don’t really write the stories. For real, the stories just come out of my fingers onto the computer screen. Half the time I’m surprised by what ends up being typed!

Deaf (Senses Series Book 2) by Xavier Neal ARC Review

BLURB:

While the pleas of Logan Kellar's best friends typically fall on deaf ears, there's one voice he can't ignore so easily. His own. And when Maxx, his beautiful best friend, says something that shakes his existence, he finds himself suddenly desperate to be heard.

MY REVIEW:

Deaf is as good as Blind was. Things slowly start escalating between Logan and Maxx in this book. There are still some complications, like Logan and his fear of commitment, and Maxx is scared of losing him. Even though they each have there own fears, the passion is still sizzling and the passion is still going strong!

The one thing that drove me batty was the the one thing I also enjoyed. One minute they are fighting and the next they are having hot sweaty sex and making up. You see Logan trying to show Maxx he is changing. Like him buying new bedding and towels. This is a shorter story compared to Blind though, but it sure isn't any less good.

There is another great cliffhanger for an ending. Normally I am not fond of these. But of course it just depends on the author. I am happy to say Xavier Neal does an excellent job with the cliffhangers. Yes, you want to know what happens but your more then happy to leave things as they are and jump right into the next story to find out how it continues. I give Deaf a FINE FOUR OUT OF FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It has loving characters, a great storyline, and is both fun and entertaining with some light humor. Lets see whats in store in the third book!

Kira's Warriors (Ravens Of War 4) by Elle Boon ARC Review

BLURB:

[Ménage Amour: Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, gods, HEA]
Kira lived the life of a pampered princess of a wealthy Japanese man who mourned the loss of his son and missing wife. She’d been given everything a girl could want, but nobody was allowed close enough to love or hurt her. All that changed when her life was threatened and he hired the Ravens as her security.
Thane and Garrick never expected to find their Fated, let alone that she’d be touched by a god. The legend of the Kitsune was steeped in mystery, but they’d need all the help they could get to save their Fated from the god who possessed her brother.
They’d need to travel into the deepest levels of hell and fight the Shinigami to save her and her brother. Kira realizes Thane and Garrick would give up their own lives to give her the family she’d never had. She would fight to hold onto the best things she could ever ask for, her warriors.

MY REVIEW:

STUNNING! That is the first word that pops in my head when I think about Kira's Warriors. I have followed this series and read and reviewed since book one, and I am ALWAYS amazed at how Elle Boon gets better and better with each new book. Kira's Warriors may have topped all the rest so far though. You can see all the hard work and research she put into this book. I loved the whole Japanese themed demons and curses. I was so impressed with Kira's Warriors and wonder if this may well be my favorite. I thought Two For Tamara was my favorite until this one. I loved Kira and how incredibly strong and powerful she is. But I have to say I loved Thane and Garrick more though. They are super protective, patient, devastatingly gorgeous, and just as powerful, especially as they start the bond between their fated.

Elle Boon created a unique masterpiece with this particular Ravens of War story. The characters are empowering and enchanting, yet sexy and determined while the story will take your breath away and keep you biting your nails till the end. The sex is hotter then the fires of hell and there is also some serious drama and suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

As you can tell, I adored Kira's Warriors SO HARD! That is why I give it a FULL FIVE SHOOTING STARS!!! Its splendidly detailed and written to perfection with some wickedly hot sex and the perfect blend of Japanese legend and culture. Elle Boon did a remarkable job with Kira's Warriors. Can't imagine it can get better, but with Elle Boon at the helm, I won't be surprised if it does.

A Kiss from Moet by Lorain O' Neil ARC Review

BLURB:

She’s young. Gorgeous. Cursed.

And she’s so not going to put up with it.

Moët Arkady is a Lecora –cursed by an ancient swamp magic so that any man she kisses could end up not only possessing HER but a lifetime of fabulously good luck to boot. Not exactly helpful when returning home after years of banishment BAM! Moët’s plane crashes right into the swamp that created the curse in the first place. So when Moët must play good Samaritan to a drowning passenger, what was that? A kiss? Better not be, because he’s Moses Gentry, the indomitable Gentry in The Consortium v. Gentry Refinery, the biggest most dangerous legal war these southern Parishes have ever seen, the one that will decide whether the swamp itself lives or dies.

And she’s the new Court Monitor who has to decide the whole blasted thing.

If Moët rules for the Consortium, Moses Gentry will lose everything –like he’s gonna let that happen. But if she rules for Moses, the Consortium’s rich and powerful members could be headed to prison –and they sure don’t intend on going. Since Moët’s predecessor resolved the dilemma by ending up alligator bait, and her former high school sweetheart is now the Consortium’s lead attorney and pretty great at stealing kisses, Moët could sure use some good luck herself.

And that wily old swamp still has its magic not to mention some truly surprising plans for the intrepid little Lecora –and whoever wins (and whoever loses!) The Consortium v. Gentry Refinery.

Because when they least expect it, a bit of swamp magic could just seal this deal… with a kiss!

MY REVIEW:

A Kiss From Moet was a very fun, humorous good time. The characters are lively and entertaining while the story keeps you smiling and on the edge. The magic is charming and beautiful and there are so many surprises! I absolutely loved it!

The one thing I noticed that is SO WORTH mentioning, is the details and descriptions Lorain O' Neil provided for us in A Kiss From Moet. The story Miss O'Neil made was both creative and imaginative. Everything about this story drags you in and keeps you reading till the very end.

Rating A Kiss From Moet was pretty simple for me to make. I feel absolutely good about giving it a FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS! I love the characters, the plot, the fun moments throughout the book and best of all, the magic and humor are addicting!

Chaos (Havoc Series Book 2) by Xavier Neal ARC Review

BLURB:

Clint "Grim" Walker has always been clear about two things in his life: his love of his Marine career and his love for Haven Davenport.

His self-missions were clear: be the best Marine possible. Protect Haven at all costs.

But when the two objectives collide they leave his once stable existence in chaos.

MY REVIEW:

Chaos begins right where Havoc ended. So much happened in this story, the characters grew and a lot of wonderful things happened between Clint and Haven as well as between Clint and his father. I liked the fact that things  worked out with Haven and Clint, especially with the huge fight they had.

The one thing I can say about this book is it got me involved emotionally. There are not a lot of books that can make me cry and cheer and really support the characters yet Chaos did just that. There were times throughout the story when I just really wanted to give Haven a good shake but honestly, with everything that she went through, I sometimes couldn't blame her for how she is. Chaos is one of those books that you like yet hate at the same time: You like it because of the realism to it and the depth of the characters, you hate it because it makes you cry and hurt inside. I think that is why Chaos is a very likable story.

I give Chaos a FOUR SHOOTING STARS!! Its wonderfully emotional, with characters that were down to earth and who felt they could of been real. Xavier Neal created a story that gets you emotionally involved and ended it so you would come back for the next book.
