Review - Operation Ginger Avenger (Divine Creek Ranch 24) by Heather Rainier!

BLURB:

[Siren Ménage Everlasting: Erotic Contemporary Cowboy Ménage a Trois Romantic Suspense, M/F/M, HEA]
Jessica Bright came to Divine, Texas seeking refuge for her and her unborn child from the man who had held her captive. With time she’s overcome the trauma, but in her eyes she isn’t just a hot mess, she’s the hot mess.
Tank Drummond and Troy Burnett have watched patiently as Jessica has gotten her life on track—perhaps too patiently. When a bit of innocent online matchmaking help from Tank’s mother goes viral, they’re pushed into pursuing Jessica even though they risk scaring her off completely.
Enter one scary dude doing the bidding of her original captor from his permanent prison cell. Four Bits owes Trevor Dornan a big favor and he always pays his debts.
Right or wrong, the ladies of Divine and Lusty, Tank’s mother, and even little Bella take matters into their own hands and pull off an adventure that will go down in Divine history as…Operation Ginger Avenger.

MY REVIEW:
I have been anticipating Jessica's story for a LONG time, ever since Val and Ransome rescued her in Divine Charity and I am so...SOOOOO happy to say that this book did NOT disappoint! It had all the FEELS I know and love from Miss Heather Rainier's delectable Divine stories and we get a truly phenomenal storyline, some favorite characters from over in Lusty, and many of our favorite Divine characters. The amazing romance, the sizzling sex, and the heart-wrenching moments and the heart stopping action I found in Operation Ginger Avenger had me savoring EVERY. SINGLE. PAGE. Of this unforgettable story.
I have had a HUGE crush on Tank and Troy since the moment these two Ginger hotties have protected Jessica when she first got rescued from her abuser. And they have just continued to add to my affection with them with every action and loving words as Jessica slowly comes out of her shell and works through everything that happened to her. This story had me sniffling out loud, had me practically laughing until I peed myself and had me oohing and ahhing not to mention all the truly heart melting moments and all those pantie melting scenes that had me vibrating with heat! I think with everything that Jessica went through and the incredible way Tank and Troy was with her, both in and out of the bedroom, had my heart sighing and my soul singing. It touched me in a way that I am actually having a difficult time trying to explain. It was THAT profound!  I treasured Operation Ginger Avenger! One of the BEST books in The Divine Creek Ranch series!
OGA gets a BRILLIANTLY STUNNING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its HOT, Its EXCITING, and its PERFECT!

“What were you talking about?” Jessica asked. Before Troy could say something about the weather, Tank blurted out, “Keeping you warm when it’s cold.” Her half-smile disappeared, and she wrapped her arms around herself. The way she turned to the doorframe and hunched her shoulders was the last straw for him. In a gentle but firm tone, he said, “Come here, Jessica.” Hesitating, she met his gaze and held it as she inched into the room, her arms still tight around herself. When she drew close enough he could touch her, he could see the goosebumps on her arms. Troy sat on the other end of the couch, and they drew her down between them. Careful to not make her feel trapped, Tank unclenched one of her hands from where it gripped her upper arm. “You were somewhere else for a few seconds there. Tell us where you went.” The bones and tendons in her hand felt delicate between his fingers as he stroked her and then enclosed her hand between his. Her breathing slowed to a more natural rhythm as she watched his hands, and Tank felt her fingers twitch within his grasp. “Your hands are so warm. Gentle. Feels good.” Troy inched closer, and she looked over her shoulder at him when he brushed her long dark hair behind her. “Can you tell us?” “There was a draft in the hallway.” With a light shrug, she attempted to make light of her earlier reaction. She lifted her eyes to his. Tank admired her brave attempt to make light of her reaction, but he shook his head. “Are we trustworthy?” With a tilt of her head and a sudden sweet smile, she nodded. “Of course.” “You can trust us with the bad stuff, too. Tell us. This is not therapy. It’s building an honest relationship based on the truth. We don’t want you to gloss over the parts of your life that you think are ugly.” Her throat bobbed a little as she swallowed her fear, and the gulp was audible. “I-uh...It was winter when he took me. The house was old, poorly insulated if at all. He would leave me chained up for hours at a time while he was gone. When he left, he would shut off the power to the house...and the heat. I think he did it to wear me down, to be mean. The cold was damp, and it got into me so deep there were times I was sure I’d never feel warm again. I never heard any road noise or signs of civilization, so I had no reason to hope I’d be found. I used to love the winter...” She shivered as some distant memory darkened her gaze. With a slowness that belied the eagerness Tank knew he felt, Troy wrapped his arms around her shoulders and leaned in enough to share his heat against her back. She stilled and locked gazes with Tank as she took in a shaky breath, on the verge of either shrugging out of Troy’s hesitant embrace or... She lifted her hands to Troy’s forearms and rested them there. “He took so much from me. Even though he’s rotting in prison, he’s still taking from me.” “Only if you let him, Jess. Don’t let what happened in the past keep you from your future. Bella’s future. Does what Troy is doing right now hurt?” She shook her head. “What if he tightened his arms?” Uncertainty stiffened her grip on Troy’s arms, but Troy remained relaxed, loose in his hold on her as he said, “I’d love to hold you tight, Jess, but not if it scares you.” “You don’t scare me,” she muttered as she looked away. “Damn it. I hate what he did, what he took from me.” “Let us take care of you,” Tank murmured as he lifted a hand and stroked her hair back behind her ear. “How can you stand the constant seesaw, though? I want to be held. I want to try with you. But then I freeze up from a simple touch.” “Your fight-or-flight response kicks in. You can’t help it. You can only overcome it,” Troy whispered before kissing the side of her head. “Can Tank kiss you?” “I...” It hurt to see her so torn, wanting to move on but unable to take the first step without her approval. It needed to be her that made the first move. Tank enclosed her other chilled hand and said, “Can you kiss me?” He was determined to overcome this first hurdle tonight.

ARC Review - Getting Out of Hand by Erin Nicholas!

BLURB:

Sapphire Falls, Book One

Genius scientist Mason Riley can cure world hunger, impress the media and piss off the Vice President of the United States all before breakfast. But he’s not sure he can get through his high school class reunion.

Then he meets the new girl in town.

Adrianne Scott loves Sapphire Falls. The sleepy little town has been the perfect place to escape her fast-paced, high stress lifestyle. Her only plans now include opening her candy shop and living a quiet, drama-free life.

Until Mason Riley bids four hundred dollars just to dance with her.

Mason sure doesn’t look—or kiss—like a genius scientist geek. In fact, he makes Adrianne’s heart pound like nothing she’s ever experienced. Passion like this with a guy who travels the world and parties at the White House should probably be a red flag for a girl who wants a simple boring life.

Good thing no one falls in love in a weekend.

WARNING: read only if you don't mind some naughty words, sexy times described in great detail, humor, small town quirkiness, meddling best friends, mud in the kitchen, references to bisexuality, oh and talk about candy... and that's not a euphemism for anything... actual candy.

MY REVIEW:

A fun, sweet, humorous romance with witty banter, fabulous characters and a good plot! Getting Out of Hand is one of those books that make me smile. I had a good time reading it and liked how everything came together and how much fun it was all while there was loads of sizzling sex and wonderful romance!

This story had one delicious looking nerd. There aren't many nerds I find attractive but hot damn, Mason fit the hot n' nerdy perfectly. He somehow was still charming and sweet, seductive and perfectly unique. I loved him! Adrianne is a beautiful, sassy, sweet and wonderful. You wouldn't think Adrianne or Mason would be such a cute couple, but they are not just cute, but PERFECT! The chemistry is off the charts and the sex is both fun and DELICIOUS. This story is full of entertainment and I can't wait to read more in this Sapphire Falls series.

Getting Out Of Hand gets a WONDERFUL FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

ARC Review - Her Treasured SEAL by Caitlyn O' Leary!

BLURB:

A Wedding.   A Baby.  But Will His Enemies Destroy Their Happiness?
Drake Avery has not gone out on a mission with his Navy SEAL team in months, instead he stayed by his woman's side as she fought for her life. Now Karen is home and recovering and it's time for Drake to go back to work. Joining his team to stop the Boko Haram in Africa, Drake faces his ultimate challenge.

Karen is happy to be home with her precious baby boy but she soon discovers that planning a wedding with a newborn is a lot harder than she ever imagined. She's determined to be as strong as her man and does not let him see how exhausted she is until it's almost too late.

As Karen and Drake attempt to fulfill their promise to honor, cherish and love one another forever, powerful enemies have targeted them and the men of Midnight Delta. Will this couple ever get their happily ever after or will they be on the run for the rest of their lives?

MY REVIEW:

Just when I think I can't possibly love Drake more, we see him in all his superman glory in Her Treasured SEAL! My goodness, Drake proves to be the most caring, alpha, protective, and seductive hero of ALL time! I absolutely LOVE his devotion to Karen and his son. He had me swooning with every wonderful word and with everything he does. He doesn't just support Karen, he shows her EXACTLY what she means to him with every action. This story was full of sweetness, full of feels, heart-thumping action and our favorite SEALS and ALL the women...PLUS a wedding that is completely UNFORGETTABLE!

Her Treasured SEAL will forever be one of my FAVORITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME! I LOVED Her Dominant SEAL but Her Treasured SEAL had me sniffling, had me gushing over the way Drake cared for Karen and the action and suspense within all the excitement of the wedding and new baby had me on the edge of my seat. I have such a high standard for romantic suspense and only less than a handful of authors or books  make it on my list, but by god, Caitlyn's books usually make it, but this one....KNOCKED THEM ALL TO THE GROUND! This book will FOREVER be cherished by me!

Her Treasured SEAL gets a SIZZLING HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It's breathtaking and sexy and perfectly sweet.

ARC Review - Devoted To Wicked by Shayla Black!

BLURB:

A one-night stand…or something more? Karis isn't sure until a thief strands her in Mexico, leaving her in need of a passport photo—and a hero—and giving Cage a second chance to win her love.

This book is a cross-over between both the Wicked Lovers and Devoted Lovers series.

MY REVIEW:

Devoted To Wicked is a second chance romance that is steamy, sexy, and irresistible! This cross over story had me needing new panties and constantly on the edge of my seat. Karis and Cage were once in love. After a misunderstanding between them, they had went there separate ways. But when Karis's Passport gets stolen, Cage gets his second chance to prove that they belong together, after all with the kind of passion that sizzles between them and the way they seem to just be drawn to each other, its no wonder love isn't far behind.

I have loved every single story Shayla Black has written. But this novella was SMOKING HOT, THRILLING AND FAST PACED EXCITEMENT!  The passion is there from the moment Karis opens the door to her hotel room with Cage standing there. I can feel the heat coming off the pages with every close encounter between them. I loved the red hot seduction, the moan-inducing sex and the heart-pounding action. Miss Black gets better and better with each new story. And this novella is RIVETING!

Devoted To Wicked gets a SMOKING HOT HOT HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its breathtaking and a hell of a second chance romance!

ARC Review - Kalkin by TL Reeve and Michele Ryan!

BLURB:
Keeley Blueriver is not doing a very good job hiding out. After being viciously attacked, she and her sister Danielle pack up and move across the country to Window Rock, Arizona. But Simon found them before, and he’ll do it again. How and when are the only questions.

Kalkin Raferty, Alpha of the Raferty pack, has spent his life protecting his family and pack from outside threats. He believes his time for finding a mate has passed. Who would want an old Alpha wolf?

A chance meeting puts Kalkin face to face with his destiny and now he can’t get the blonde-haired, hazel-eyed woman out of his mind. His wolf is poised to claim her, but with danger lurking around every corner, is he willing to risk everything to have her?

MY REVIEW:

A STUNNING new book in what I think will be a TERRIFIC new series from TL Reeve AND Michele Ryan! This paranormal romance was exciting, with a sexy, decadent shifter and strong and extremely feisty (loved that about her) heroine. There is delightfully witty banter, a great storyline that was full of danger and adventure and kept me on my toes and just an all around great read!

I have enjoyed all of Miss Reeve's stories in the past, so when I had the opportunity to read this new one, I couldn't wait! Yet, amazingly enough, Miss Reeve outdid herself, in my humble opinion with this new series. Now Michele Ryan is a fairly new to me author but co-writing this with Miss Reeves has now officially put her in my sights and I am going to be checking her out in the VERY near future.

I fell good and hard with Kalkin. Sexy, dominant, caring, and protective he had my heart melting and had me wishing he was real. I found him to be swoon worthy and definitely lick and drool worthy. Keeley is a very strong heroine. She is bold, outspoken, tough as nails, yet there was just something about her I really liked. She seemed abrasive at first but I still liked her. This story was plenty action packed and full of surprises and has me significantly excited for the next book! I am so HOOKED!

Kalkin gets a SERIOUSLY ADDICTING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I am SO LOVING this new series and can't wait for book 2!

About the Author

My love of romantic fiction began as a teenager when my mom gave me copies of Kathleen Woodiwiss’s “The Flame and the Flower” and Bertrice Small’s “Skye O’Malley.” To this day I’m pretty sure that was her idea of the “birds and the bees” talk.
I live in South Central Texas, writing the type of novel I love to read: edgier and more erotic than the mainstream, with plenty of sweet romance mixed in. My husband and I met in a scenario very much like the ones I’ve written about. He was the alpha hero who stepped in when this “damsel in distress” needed rescuing from a nefarious pervert. It’s no wonder I went on to write erotic romance when I had him to inspire me.
My favorite type of hero is the gentle, lovable giant but readers will discover a variety of heroes in my novels. My goal is to create believable heroines my readers can relate to, and to write stories that will capture their imaginations.
I love interacting with readers, so feel free to use the form on my contact page, or look me up on Facebook or Twitter.
Seize the day, baby!
Love, Heather
